Join me as I open my latest delivery of GC Tooth Mousse (Strawberry flavor) and demonstrate my routine for keeping enamel strong while wearing Invisalign aligners. Clear aligners block normal saliva circulation, making proactive remineralisation essential. I explain the mechanism of bioavailable calcium and phosphate (CPP-ACP) and demonstrate how to line your aligners before putting them on.

00:00Hi guys I'm going to be opening my latest packet from Amazon and this is my
00:06latest order of GC tooth mousse because anyone that's been following my dental
00:15journey does know that I am on an Invisalign journey. So I ordered these, I've got the
00:27strawberry, now this one, so I have shown my GC tooth mousse before and I'll show
00:33you exactly how I use it although those who are familiar with the dental
00:37playlist will have seen me using it before but um so this order I got is the
00:42strawberry flavour and I did go through a phase of ordering GC tooth mousse with
00:47the fluoride in it as well and I was sort of swapping and changing like at night
00:53I used the non fluoride one and during the day I was popping in the GC
00:57tooth mousse with fluoride but I've actually moved away from the one that
01:01contains fluoride now because I was sort of aware that I was swallowing it and I
01:06I don't think it's a great idea to swallow fluoride or at least I didn't want to be
01:10swallowing fluoride so um so basically I'm just now ordering the original one
01:16that doesn't have fluoride in it so um for people that are familiar with GC
01:21tooth mousse I do have a little bit of information here that I've got um I
01:25looked up so I'm gonna have to wear my glasses to read it I mean I sort of
01:29roughly know just from my own but you know I'll read what it properly says
01:32about it so um GC tooth mousse works by delivering calcium and phosphate the key
01:39structural building blocks of your enamel directly into your teeth so it's
01:43basically a really mineralizing thing so um what ideally your saliva does the
01:49remineralizing but if you've got dry mouth or if you're like me on an
01:53Invisalign journey um it can help basically protect your teeth and
01:57remineralize and I'll just read a little bit more about how it works it uses a
02:01milk derived protein called CPP or casein phospho peptide to bind these
02:09minerals so calcium and phosphate to the tooth surface and biofilms so this keeps
02:14the calcium and phosphate stable soluble and readily available so they can
02:19penetrate microscopic enamel surfaces repairing early decay and hardening weak
02:25areas in your teeth so so yes that's true when I or that's what I've found out
02:30as well about the GC tooth mousse that it can try and help remineralize early
02:36spots where you've lost so many minerals that it's becoming a hole basically or
02:40cavity so I was told about GC tooth mousse before I started the Invisalign journey
02:47and so I was just using it you just rub it over your teeth after brushing your
02:52teeth but once I started this Invisalign journey I then was really looking for
03:00something to protect my teeth because I am paranoid about getting cavities so I use
03:06now this GC tooth mousse in my liners I actually line my liners with it and so
03:14basically I think I did read a little bit more about it it does react with your
03:19saliva as well I think and that's sort of a chemical reaction to try and get it to
03:23bind to your teeth but fluoride I think the exact mechanisms it can somehow act as
03:30sort of a carrier or it binds the minerals better to your tooth surface or
03:35something so when you are using it with fluoride that I think is an advantage but
03:40the way I get around that is I use it after brushing my teeth and the last thing
03:44I do after brushing my teeth is I use a fluoride rinse and so my teeth are coated
03:49with fluoride and then I whack this on my teeth and also in the aligners so then
03:54I'm sort of getting the best of both worlds I think and and that's kind of
03:58easier to then spit out a couple of times after you've put the aligners in as
04:02opposed to lining the whole align up with something that contains fluoride
04:08because I think that's then going to stay in my mouth and possibly be a swallow
04:12risk for like hours afterwards so I'll show you how I basically use it so we'll
04:18open up one of these GC tooth mousse comes in different flavors you can buy this
04:23from eBay as well a lot of dental shops stock it as well I don't know pharmacy I'm
04:30sure probably pharmacies do too but I usually just order it online either I
04:34get it from Amazon or eBay so I'll just open this up so this is a brand new one
04:41and it comes in quite a few flavors actually and I put gloves on when I use
04:45my line just because I think maybe it's a bit more hygienic when I'm putting
04:49something in my mouth and I do hate wearing these aligners I will be very happy when my
04:56journey is over but anyway so um I then squeeze a little bit in so I did look up
05:03Google Gemini and I said oh you know because I was really pumping it in and I
05:08still it does still look like I am pumping it in and that's when Google
05:11Gemini said that it's a bit of a chemical reaction between saliva and this to
05:16then try and get it to bind on your teeth so it was saying that having some
05:20goopy lumpy stuff in there isn't really going to benefit your teeth really so then I
05:26just use a brush and I just kind of line the aligners with the tooth mousse and
05:31look I've been given the okay by my dentist my dentist has said that this is a
05:35good idea to be protective for my teeth while I'm wearing the aligners oh and
05:41there's another awesome ingredient in GC tooth mousse and that is xylitol and if
05:46you don't know about how xylitol can protect cavities do look it up online I
05:51think the bacteria responsible for cavities ingest the xylitol but it is
05:55deadly for the bacteria that cause decay so in that way xylitol can be
06:00protective as well against cavities so I really like that that I'm sort of using
06:06something to protect my teeth while I'm using these aligners so then I just pop it
06:12in so I'll put the bottom ones in oops and all right I hate doing this and it's
06:21gonna get rid of all my lipstick as well and then I often got white sort of on my
06:25tongue as soon as I put this on and all my lipstick gets on my gloves and and there
06:34you go so that's done and then I'll just have that mousse in the aligners pretty
06:40much whenever I wear them and when I have something to eat I'll just take the
06:44aligners out give the aligners a rinse have something to eat and then put a bit
06:48more tooth mousse back in the aligners when I pop them in my mouth but anyway
06:53that's how I use GC tooth mousse and it really has become my companion I've
06:58used it all along through my Invisalign journey and I'm on to the third plan
07:03when it comes to my Invisalign I've had two revisions I want to the third
07:07plan which is a ten week plan and I'm currently on week two of the ten week
07:13plan our week two and counting
