"Wenn alle untreu werden" is a German folksong about fighting through the modern world's hardship for the holy German Reich's glory. The lyricist is Max von Schenkendorf. The composer is Johann Michael Haydn (1737-1806). The song uses his "Befiehl du deine Wege" melody.
There are two versions of this song. The first version is Schenkendorf's patriotic version. The second version uses Novalis' love poetry. This is Schenkendorf's version. The first two lines of Novalis' hymn are the same as in Schenkendorf's song.

Context: The singer encourages people to remain faithful to each other so that they can preserve their regional identities (as represented by a Fähnlein). The youth have a chance to paint better times by staying close to their roots. Heroes sacrificed themselves for victory, but Satan tries to come up with ways to bring evil. The singer encourages the listener to dream of glory. He tells the listeners that they must take action to fight against false god worship and bring glory to the holy German Reich.
