00:00How did it feel having your name called? It's so surreal.
00:04That's a great word for it. Surreal is a wonderful word for it. That's exactly how it feels.
00:08It's sort of like an out-of-body experience.
00:11I feel often that it's presumptuous to prepare speeches when you're nominated against the caliber of actors that I've been
00:17nominated against.
00:18So I kind of got up there and just thought I'd speak from the heart and hope I didn't embarrass
00:23myself.
00:23It was really beautiful. I think we saw you tearing up a little bit. What was going through your head?
00:28I was looking down at my beautiful wife who's had tears in her eyes and she knows how hard I
00:33work
00:33and what we've been through to get to this moment has been significant.
00:38And just feeling that love and support from everybody that I've ever admired in that room was almost overwhelming.
00:44It's amazing. Have you heard from the kids yet?
00:47My daughter came and brought flowers today as we were getting ready, which was very sweet.
00:52My son slept in, probably still sleeping in.
00:56Wake up, Owen!
00:58And my daughter Frances is home watching, so hi, Frances.
01:01I'll have my bedtime. School day tomorrow.
01:04Earlier today I heard there was a party bus on the way here. How was it?
01:07It was a little tamer than last year.
01:09Last year we had to pull Scott Gemmell off the ceiling.
01:12This year I think it was only Seppi that was doing chin-ups on those bars.
01:15But we had a really good time.
01:17Why does that not surprise me?
01:18It speaks to the collegiate atmosphere that we all work in
01:21and the fact that we enjoy each other's company so much.
01:24It's a pretty egoless group and really fun to hang.
01:26Yeah. The work is like the most important thing, it feels like.
01:29And you guys do have to work tomorrow.
01:30Right and early.
01:31Although they pushed the call back a little bit
01:33because they knew that we were going to be out partying a little bit tonight.
01:35Well, I was thinking, you know, you are meant to look tired
01:37and you're an exhausted ER doctor,
01:39so maybe going out tonight is actually a good way to prep for tomorrow.
01:43You know, a lot of our background just get to sleep the day away in those gurney beds.
01:46We tell them all the time, go out, take a second job, go party all night, come in and sleep.
01:50I may try that one of these days.
01:52Maybe, maybe.
01:54Congratulations.
01:55Thank you so much.
01:55Thank you so much for stopping by.
01:57You too.
01:58So exciting.
