00:02Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his forces to pause strikes on
00:06Kyiv while US peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Moscow on Saturday.
00:11The visit comes after US President Donald Trump said Witkoff and Kushner would go to
00:16both Moscow and Kyiv this weekend with a plan to end more than four years of war in Ukraine.
00:33The duo is expected to head to Kyiv on Sunday in what will be their first visit to the city
00:38since Trump returned to the White House last year. Just hours before the announcement,
00:43Russian strikes were reported in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Kyiv regions,
00:49killing at least five people according to local authorities. A day earlier,
00:54a Russian drone also hit the headquarters of Ukraine's security service in central Kyiv.
01:00Moscow said the three-day pause in strikes would go into effect from midnight on Saturday.
01:11Rescuers in Nepal have pulled out two people alive on Saturday,
01:1510 days after the devastating floods hit along the Nepal-Tibet border. This is the moment a
01:22Chinese man was found alive from the Trishuli hydropower project. The man was pulled from a 225-metre
01:30tunnel and evacuated by helicopter by Nepalese military personnel, according to Nepal's army. On Friday,
01:37two more people were rescued from the same hydropower project. About 900 workers are still
01:43missing and 500 are believed to be trapped in various tunnels across 12 hydropower projects,
01:50where rescue efforts have focused according to authorities. Meanwhile, one woman was rescued from
01:56her home buried under thick mud and debris in flood-hit Nuwakot. According to officials,
02:02she has been airlifted to Kathmandu. The devastating flash floods left at least 1,375 people killed,
02:10while more than 5,531 remain missing. The disaster was likely caused by a glacier collapse.
02:21Ulrich Sigmund, the AFD's top candidate in Saxony-Anhalt, presents himself as a man of the people.
02:27At the so-called Family Festival in Magdeburg, he poses for hundreds of photos with fans. The young
02:34AFD poster boy is treated like a celebrity by his supporters all over the state.
03:02With an outright win, the AFD could gain state-level power for the first time in Germany's post-war,
03:08era.
03:11I am for the AFD and I love Ulrich. As long as he has done all kinds of things,
03:17like violence and guns, you can't live here, you have to go out. And that's why he sorgt.
03:23That's also good.
03:24I want to be very simple to be with the Wandelion.
03:36Eva von Angern is also running as a lead candidate. She has represented Die Linke in the state
03:41parliament since 2002 and says the tone there has changed significantly since then.
04:09In the latest election polls, the AFD stands at 41 percent. Far ahead of the CDU at 23 percent,
04:16with the left party in third place at 11,5 percent.
04:20The AFD will write history. That's how the main tenor was on the AFD event.
04:24Other parties, CDU, SPD, Grüne, Linke, were banned and pfiffed.
04:28The people here are convinced that first in Sachsen-Anhalt and then the whole country
04:32can change the whole country. But their party could stop on the brick wall,
04:36because the other parties don't want to act together with the AFD.
04:39Laura Fleischmann from Magdeburg for Euronews.
