03:13support you we support all these other uh companies but why not support oasis and in aj he's doing good

03:21stuff in the community and what you know about that store as i've been down there is that the

03:25predominantly of that area that's white it's poor yes individuals yes you know and so i i love the

03:30work that but he's doing but when you think about again being yourself um what's been the biggest

03:35surprise biggest surprise of the stardom i mean you've been this game for a very very long time

03:41what's been the biggest surprise about it all our own culture don't believe that we could do it

05:09cultures make products they don't make it for them they make it for everybody and so i want that

05:13mindset about people if i could change that that's the way we're gonna bridge the well gap what's been

05:19the biggest negative surprise of it all the biggest negative surprise of the stardom our people can't

05:24work together think about when i go down road they'll drive and see all these stores they're owned by

05:30all the same kind of looking people none of them fighting none of them caring about what each other

05:37have but got and i love that i want to see that for our culture and our people that's why

10:31about none of this stuff that's going on they ain't talking about the fact that people's food is being

10:42but you'll get on these podcasts to talk about how we need to stop talking about slavery

10:46because get out of the negative mindset

10:49talking about slavery is not a negative mindset if anything

10:52it's a mindset of us understanding and knowing what our people went through

10:56and knowing we're never going back there

10:58it's actually empowering to know

11:00our people fought hard for us to have things and we have to continue that fight

11:04not talking about is doing what white people want to do

11:07and sweep it under the rug like it didn't happen

11:09but the reality is we are still suffering the effects of slavery today

11:12and when y'all want to get in the comments talking about

11:15well i didn't own slaves and i didn't benefit

11:18you did benefit you benefited because when enslaved people were freed

11:23everyone who owned slaves all these white enslavers

11:26they got paid reparations for every single loss of property

11:30which was the loss of the enslaved people

11:32so you got paid per head like we were still a material item

11:36number two because of that because of then laws and rules

11:41and redlining and keeping black people from being able to buy homes

11:45keeping black people from being able to be in banking

11:47all of the things that y'all did to try to keep black people from having the same opportunities

11:53are why we continue to stay behind

11:55all started with slavery

11:57and to this day we still don't have the same rights

12:01y'all can think that we do

12:02but we've seen it play out in the justice system

12:05we've seen it played out in corporate america

12:07we see it played out daily

12:10where black people still don't have the same access

12:13and the same privileges as white people

12:14so to say let's stop talking about it

12:17and acting like we're all equal and we're not

12:18is tone deaf and actually continues to show how

12:21y'all need to just shut up

12:22if you're not going to say anything that is positive for our people

12:26then just be quiet

12:27because you clearly don't read books

12:30you don't know history

12:31and you're just someone who got lucky and made it

12:34because you had a modicum of talent and a lot of will

12:36but at the end of the day

12:38if you didn't have that

12:39and weren't ready to be able to step and fetch it for white entertainment

12:43you would not be where you were today
