00:00I mean, and this is the problem with teams that are perennially bad, that have a bad
00:05reputation, is that you don't have a place that is desirable for good head coaches and
00:13established players to want to go to.
00:15And the only way that you can get that next great player is through the draft, but the
00:22problem is when you're a bad organization, you don't end up developing those guys.
00:26And the one time the Jets, it's just unbelievable.
00:30The one time the Jets became a desirable destination for a star player was when they
00:36had the good, young, up-and-coming team that went into Green Bay and beat Aaron Rodgers
00:42and the Green Bay Packers, and Sauce Gardner's wearing the cheese on his head, and Rob Sala
00:49had this energy that people were paying attention to, and Aaron Rodgers, they desperately want
00:54Aaron Rodgers, he comes here and he pops his Achilles, and then he ends up leaving and
00:58hating the organization and slamming everybody and making fun of the owner's son, right?
01:03So the one time you did have that, that blew up in everybody's face.
01:09And the other one, the other example for the Browns, because they're so similar, the only
01:14way that they could get Deshaun Watson there was to give him this insane guaranteed contract
01:21that no one has ever gotten.
01:22First of its kind.
01:23And the last of its kind.
01:25Yes.
01:25It's never going to happen again.
01:27Yeah.
01:27And they had to do that, and that blew up in their face.
01:30So it's really, I mean, if the Jets or the Browns are going to get out of their own way,
01:34it has to be probably, you would think, like a first-time hire that ends up being an unbelievable
01:42head coach, like finding the next Sean McVay and finding the next guy in the draft that
01:47is great, because getting guys like Mike Tomlin to come here, not going to happen.
01:52Why do you think that Aaron Glenn ended up getting the job?
01:56All true.
01:56All true.
01:57But now that hasn't been said.
01:58I mean, Joe Burrow, the Bengals are some great organization.
02:02You think Joe Burrow's going to say, all right, you know, the next phase of my career that
02:05has now fallen off a cliff since I went to the Super Bowl is going to be the Jets.
