00:00ESPN, the conglomerate of writers that cover the NFL for ESPN, did their power rankings,
00:07the preseason power rankings.
00:10I guess I was not surprised with where Washington comes in.
00:14They come in at 20.
00:16That might be higher than I would think people are feeling right now, actually.
00:21And then, is it Tyler Folkham?
00:24He's like a betting analyst for ESPN?
00:27I don't know.
00:27You'd recognize his face.
00:29But he had three bets for every single team for the season.
00:34He had over seven and a half wins.
00:37For Washington?
00:38This is for Washington.
00:38I like that.
00:39I like his optimism.
00:40He's my guy.
00:42He's on my side.
00:43He had under, I can't remember the yardage for Stephon Diggs, but he had under receiving yards for Diggs.
00:52I want to say it was somewhere in the 680 range.
00:55All right.
00:55That's interesting.
00:57I might have to get that.
00:58I think he's only done that one time in his career, right?
01:00He's pretty much been over 1,000 yards every year, but maybe the one year he got hurt.
01:03I hear it is.
01:04Something like that.
01:05Receiving under, oh, sorry, 774 and a half.
01:07Okay.
01:09So he had over seven and a half wins, basically even money.
01:12He had Stephon Diggs under 774 and a half.
01:14And then he had Jaden Daniels to win comeback player of the year, plus 450.
01:19That'd be delightful.
01:21That's a nice prize, too.
01:21People have talked about him potentially being in that mix.
01:24That's what he likes.
01:25If he stays healthy, I would think he'd be a top three candidate.
01:28I mean, he should definitely, if he plays 15 plus games and plays anywhere near the level he did as
01:34a rookie or better,
01:36then he's going to be in the mix.
01:38He'll be in the hunt.
01:39Yeah.
01:40So here's the Ravens three, Matt.
01:44I don't know if you saw this.
01:45He has the Ravens under 11 and a half wins, minus 140.
01:50He has Zay Flowers under five and a half touchdowns, receiving touchdowns.
01:55And he has Trey Hendrickson under 12 sacks.
02:00He says the under on wins doesn't require a disastrous season.
02:03It simply requires the Ravens to fall short of an extremely high bar.
02:07Well, this goes in line with Valdez's season-long just-go-under philosophy, right?
02:13Yep.
02:13He had a lot of unders.
02:15Yeah.
02:16He did.
02:16He had a lot of unders.
02:17But I thought that was interesting that he had.
02:18It's hard to predict.
02:20Oh, here's Cleveland.
02:21You get one injury and you're going under.
02:23I mean, you're Clevelands.
02:24I mean, you're Clevelands.
02:25Well, under five and a half wins.
02:26Okay.
02:27I would take that in a heartbeat.
02:28Is that what the Vegas number is?
02:30Five and a half on Cleveland?
02:31And that's the number he's coming up with, yeah.
02:33I've seen five and a half, I think.
02:34Wow.
02:35He's got the fewest regular season wins out of any team.
02:39Now, that's plus 1050.
02:41Okay.
02:41So, basically, they have the worst record.
02:43And then he's got Deshaun Watson passing yards under 1,749 and a half.
02:49So, that's just banking on him being benched and or injured.
02:52Yes.
02:53I mean, he should pass 1,700.
02:56Let's just say he passes for 200 a game.
02:59Yeah, he's banking on him not playing.
03:02That's eight and nine games.
03:04Yeah.
03:04Yeah.
03:06Well, I mean, some people think he's going to get benched in the first month.
03:09Yeah, I don't know.
03:09I think it's a distinct possibility he doesn't make it out of the first two weeks.
03:13He has to face Jacksonville and Tampa Bay on the road to start the season.
03:17So, he's got three bets for every single team.
03:20So, it was pretty interesting.
03:22All right.
03:23So, looks like Joe Milton was cut.
03:28Dunsky.
03:28Sam Howe beats him in Dallas.
03:31So, Sam Howe is going to be Dak's backup.
03:34But we were hearing some good things about Joe Milton.
03:36Yeah.
03:37Apparently, he played pretty well in the preseason, but they waived him.
03:41So, they could, yeah, they could bring him back.
03:42The expectation is that they'll re-sign him to the practice squad.
03:45There's still a project.
03:47He's got the massive arm.
03:48Yep.
03:48And you can say what you want about Sam Howe, but, you know, Sam Howe's competent.
03:52Apparently, the Cowboys did have some trade conversations regarding Milton before the cut down to 53.
03:59Couldn't work that out.
04:00So, if Milton clears waivers, he could be brought back to the practice squad.
04:05So, that's what people do expect.
04:06Did you see what former Atlanta Falcons wideout Roddy White said about Sam Howe?
04:11No.
04:11Here's his quote.
04:12Sam Howe is trash like dumpster trash.
04:17I don't think he played like dumpster trash here.
04:19Clearly doesn't like him.
04:20Yeah.
04:21That's funny.
04:22That kind of surprised me.
04:24He beat out Milton.
04:25I know that Milton is viewed kind of as a one-trick pony.
04:28That's what I feel like.
04:28Just throw the ball like 65 yards down the field.
04:31You've got to be able to make all the throws.
04:32Yeah.
04:33And he's, you know, he's an athletic freak.
04:35Yeah.
04:36But, I guess, Sam Howe showed more.
04:39So, Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald did not practice yesterday.
04:44He's going to be on that DQ veteran day off schedule.
04:48Sean McVay said it was all part of the plan.
04:50Right.
04:51McVay did say that he didn't want to put any timeline on when Donald will play his first game
04:55after being retired for two years.
04:57But, he did not rule out Donald not traveling to Melbourne, Australia.
05:01They played that first game against San Francisco on September 10th.
05:06Oh, is he going to say, yeah, I don't want to do that trip?
05:09Yeah, maybe.
05:09It's a possibility.
05:10Don't forget to get your Netflix login from whoever you're stealing it from, Jason.
05:14No, I actually paid for Netflix.
05:16Because I know Netflix has cracked down on the sharing passwords.
05:20What's the Netflix?
05:21What am I paying?
05:2220?
05:2330 or something?
05:24I think Sam said 29.
05:24Is it 28 or 29?
05:26I don't know.
05:26Well, whatever you're paying, you're overpaying for it.
05:28Of course.
05:28I can tell you that.
05:29Yeah, something like that.
05:30With certainty.
05:30We almost never watch it.
05:32My kids do.
05:33They're still on it.
05:35Mm-hmm.
05:36This was kind of disturbing.
05:39TCU football player, I think his name's Dozy Esukanma.
05:43He was hospitalized for three days because of a brain bleed.
05:47Mm-hmm.
05:48Why?
05:48Because his teammate, Jacob Fields, punched him in the locker room.
05:55Mm-hmm.
05:56And he knocked him out.
05:58This guy, Esukanma, hit his head on the floor.
06:01He was in the hospital.
06:02Is that what caused the bleed, hitting your head on the floor?
06:05Yep.
06:06And of course, Fields was later dismissed from the team.
06:09Shocker.
06:10But he punched and kicked Esukanma in the head on August 13th inside the athletic complex
06:17at TCU.
06:18I mean, you could definitely kill somebody by just punching them.
06:21They hit their head on the ground.
06:22They just kicking him in the head.
06:23And then, of course, he was arrested for assault.
06:25Well, he should have been.
06:27So that was just a disturbing story.
06:30By the way, did you guys see the woman with the knives in New York City yesterday?
06:35I did see.
06:35It was pretty disturbing.
06:37I heard about it.
06:37I was on a text thread, but I didn't click on it.
06:39Yeah, she had stabbed two people.
06:41I'm not sure.
06:42Did she kill them?
06:44That I don't know.
06:45She stabbed two people.
06:46And then she had two knives in her hand.
06:49Clearly, she was mental.
06:50And there's 19 cops around her.
06:52Right in the front, in downtown Manhattan.
06:55You just got to have your head on a swivel, Cakes, anywhere you go.
06:58At all times.
06:59Especially with masses of people.
07:00You got to stay frosty, EB.
07:02I've been telling people that for years.
07:04But the cops shot her and killed her anyway.
07:06It was a sad story.
07:06Oh, they shot her and killed her.
07:07Yeah, right there.
07:09I mean, I guess she got to.
07:10She's running on stabbing people.
07:11Yeah, she wouldn't drop them.
07:13Hey, the Nats beat the Marlins for win number 6-6.
07:18Is that your magic number?
07:19I need one more.
07:20Okay, one more win.
07:21Okay.
07:21One more curly dub.
07:23CJ Abrams did not play.
07:25He had back tightness.
07:26But Dalen Lyle, man, he was the National League Player of the Week last week.
07:30He's been tearing it up.
07:31Oh, my gosh.
07:32Three hits, four RBIs, two more bombs.
07:34He's got 20 for the year.
07:36He was leading off.
07:37And they beat the Marlins 6-3.
07:40I think the Braves are in town for a couple.
07:41He was having a good day while we were stuffing our faces at the Nats box.
07:47Yeah.
07:48What was that, last week?
07:49Yeah.
07:50Yeah.
07:51I mean, the headline was the seafood fettuccine and the tomahawk steak.
07:55But Dalen Lyle had himself a day, too.
07:57Yeah.
07:57In the month of August, he hit seven bombs.
08:01He hit .292.
08:02He had 26 RBIs.
08:05And in the last, I don't know, four or five games, he was just on fire.
08:09And he was the National League Player of the Week last week.
08:12Right.
08:13I'm just glad that CJ played at least one game at second base.
08:17Then all of a sudden, he has back tightness.
08:19He's like, oh, that's second base.
08:20Oh, I'm back.
08:22I don't even think he fielded a ground ball in that one game.
08:24I don't think I can make it out the next game.
08:26I think he turned a double play.
08:28I think he did.
08:28He turned a deep, yeah.
08:29Yeah.
08:30By the way, the Cubs, speaking of home runs, hit nine of them last night against the Brewers.
08:3617-3 big winners.
08:38Alex Bregman, three bombs.
08:40The football final.
08:41Nine home runs, franchise record in one game.
08:4517-3 over the Milwaukee Brewers, who, of course, they're chasing in the Central.
08:49And that was impressive, although PCA did not hit one.
08:53He hit three the other night.
08:54But he's pretty much...
08:55Well, he hit five in two games.
08:56He's pretty much got the National League MVP locked up.
08:58But nine home runs for the Cubs.
09:01The Orioles are a half game out of the last wild card spot chasing Cleveland.
09:06Did you see the last play of the game?
09:07Couser, what an incredible catch.
09:10That was an unbelievable catch in Denver.
09:13To rob a two-run walk-off home run.
09:16Looks like it was about two feet above the fence.
09:19It was a great still image of him, yeah.
09:21Oh, it was a great, great catch.
09:22And they beat the Rockies 2-1.
09:24So, in the standings, in the American League wild card currently, you've got the Yankees and the Red Sox.
09:30They're pretty much locks.
09:31And then Cleveland is the third.
09:33Just a half game up on Baltimore, who've won four straight.
09:36Texas, Toronto, both a game and a half back of the third wild card.
09:40Valdez, I don't feel your Orioles fever.
09:44I don't know.
09:45I'm sure you're monitoring it.
09:47You're quiet about it, at least around me.
09:49I don't know.
09:50I'm excised.
09:51You're monitoring all of it.
09:52Yeah, they won six in a row.
09:54I've played golf with a couple guys that live in the D.C. area, but they grew up Orioles fans,
09:59and they never gave up.
10:01And they're just locked in.
10:02It was a day game when we were playing.
10:04And they were locked in with everything.
10:05It's been a topsy-turvy season.
10:07Yeah.
10:08That was just an incredible catch.
10:10And I think the Orioles close with like 60% of their games are against either the Blue Jays or
10:17the Indians this year.
10:18And that's who they need to beat up on to try and sneak into the wild card.
10:22Yeah, that's good.
10:23Yeah, their last three games of the year are in New York against the Yankees, but the series before that's
10:28Toronto.
10:30And they do play Toronto six times, and they play Cleveland three times.

11:02But 800-636-1067.
11:04We will give you a chance to win.
11:05And I believe JP is furiously scribbling down Commander's Survivor questions as we speak.
11:12Yeah, last man standing.
11:13You'll go on Thursday to the show to grill Adam Peters in person.
11:18I guess you could do that, sure.
11:20And ask him about the upcoming season, which is not that far off in the distance.
11:26What else?
11:27You got tennis results?
11:29Oh, U.S. Open.
11:29Yeah.
11:30Oh, U.S. Open.
11:31I didn't see any of the matches yesterday.
11:34I know it was Akko.
11:36She played late.
11:37I think she won her match sometime around 1230 in the morning.
11:42But she came out in some AI Allen Iverson's garb.
11:47Did you see that?
11:48My wife said that she's doing almost like the NBA player thing.
11:53Like, you're walking in, making a big deal about what you're wearing.
11:59I didn't see it, but she was telling me about it.
12:01Yeah.
12:03Apparently, it was a tribute to Allen Iverson.
12:09Why is she an Iverson fan?
12:11When she removed it to reveal her black outfit, she had her hair done in cornrows under a headband.
12:16Yes.
12:16Just like Iverson.
12:17Why not be an Iverson fan?
12:20I just don't know what her connection to Iverson is.
12:23I mean.
12:23All right.
12:23So, Osaka is obsessed with fashion.
12:27She's been doing this for a decade.
12:28She comes out every match, every big match, dressed in some costume.
12:30She wears weird stuff.
12:32That's for sure.
12:33Makes a big entrance.
12:34But she said that Iverson is a fashion icon.
12:36Oh, really?
12:37Well, I think with what he did 20 years ago with the cornrows and, you know, the tape on his
12:42fingers and the elbow.
12:44Leave.
12:45Sleeve.
12:46All that.
12:46So, just showing respect.
12:48That's what she did.
12:49Yeah.
12:50I mean, is she the only one kind of doing this?
12:51Are there other players that are making a big deal about what they're wearing?
12:56Nobody likes her.
12:57Nobody likes her.
12:58Yeah.
12:58I mean, it's like a grand entrance every time.
13:00Yeah.
13:01It's annoying.
13:02For sure.
13:03Yeah.
13:03Ben Shelton.
13:04You're over it.
13:05I actually like her, though.
13:06You do?
13:06I do like her.
13:07Oh, I can't stand her.
13:07She's probably my least favorite player ever.
13:10Wow.
13:10I didn't know the draft was so anti.
13:12Well, she's a huge baby.
13:14She's a huge baby.
13:15All the time.
13:16She cries about when the pressure, treatment or pressure gets to her.
13:21She'll shut down.
13:22She won't talk.
13:23You know, I'm just not a fan of her at all.
13:25That's fine.
13:26Dude, that's within your right.
13:28Not be a fan.
13:30But apparently it was a big deal last night when she came in.
13:32She came on court.
13:33She's a mom now, right?
13:35I don't know.
13:35I think she is.
13:36I just root for all moms.
13:38Yep.
13:38Sick.
13:39So sick.
13:40I do.
13:41I do.
13:41I root for all moms.
13:42Well, there's a lot of mom tennis players.
13:44Yeah, yeah.
13:44I root for every one of them.
13:47You know how many have won majors, though?
13:49Maybe less than five.
13:51Like, not many.
13:52It's pretty hard to play at an elite level once you pump out a kid.
13:57Well, Tiafoe, he won in, I believe, that was his first round match.
14:01Hi, Mommy.
14:02Ben Shelton won, so a couple of Americans advanced to the second round.
14:05But, yeah, we're knee-deep in it, in the U.S. Open.
14:09Yeah.
14:09I don't know.
14:10We've got to figure out what's going on with Joker and all this puking and everything.
14:14I mean, it's so weird.
14:16I know he says he has this condition.
14:19Water.
14:20I can't believe he can't get it fixed.
14:23Because it almost seems like it's getting worse.
14:26EB, to answer your question, if you even ask the question, there have been six moms who have won majors.
14:31Oh, there you go.
14:32I mean, a lot of them are old schoolers.
14:35Dorothea Chambers.
14:36That's a long time ago.
14:37Hazel Whiteman.
14:38Yeah.
14:39Sarah Cook.
14:40Yeah.
14:40Margaret Court.
14:41What about in the modern era?
14:42The post.
14:43Yvonne Goulagong.
14:44Okay.
14:44I remember her.
14:45And Kim Kleisters.
14:46Kim Kleisters is the one that we remember.
14:47That's a man of old school.
14:48Margaret Court is an old school name.
14:51In the modern era, I think she's the only one.
14:53It's a great name for a tennis player.
14:54You have Court, and your name is tennis player.
14:56It's pretty good.
14:56It's pretty solid.
14:58All right.
14:59You're trying to get contestants for Survivor?
15:01800-636-1067.
15:01They need to call in now.
15:021-800-636-1067.

15:13Grand Danny, you're going to be there.
15:15Tickets are on sale at ArlingtonDraftHouse.com.
15:18But your chance to win tickets now.
15:19All you're going to do is answer a couple trivia questions.
15:22It's that easy.
15:23When you say Redskins Survivor, remind me how we play that.
15:26Get eight dogs on the line.
15:28The answer question.
15:29They survive.
15:30They miss.
15:31They're out.
15:32They're done.
15:32Last man standing.
15:33The Survivor wins.
15:34Something tells me it's not going to happen before the end of the segment.
15:38No, it's not.
15:39If that's the game we're playing.
15:40I mean, that's like a 15-minute game.
15:43No, it's not.
15:44It's quick.
15:45What are you doing with just four guys?
15:47Yeah, you don't have to have six or eight.
15:50I think it's better with eight, but hey.
15:53Play the music.
15:54Do the game.
15:55All right.
15:56We'll try to drum up the list.
15:58People got to call in.
15:59800-636-1067.
