00:00yesterday, all sorts of drama. And you don't think in a 16-1 game, Craig, you'd wake up and
00:07there'd be all sorts of leading stories and conversations on social media. Was it a catch?
00:13Was it not a catch? But maybe the thing that cracked me up the most was listening to the
00:18radio guys at EEI there for Boston, who literally on air lost their mind the minute that Jazz goes
00:28ahead and steals third base in a 7-1 game. There were so many things in this game that went
00:34the
00:34other way, that went the Yankees' direction, and none of it is a good look for Boston. I still don't
00:41think they have enough offense to compete with the Yankees, hence they got shut out once in this
00:46series. I think outside of that 6-0 game, I think that was part of the doubleheader. Where's the
00:52offense for this team? Because I certainly don't see it, but everything that happened from the catch,
00:57to blaming that call, to losing 16-1, to you've got your on-air guys, your broadcast team calling
01:05for guys to be hit in a 7-1 game. It went off the rails this weekend in this series.
01:12It did, and I wonder if Kansas City was playing Minnesota if these same things happened, if we
01:17would even be focused in on this at all, or if anybody would even notice, Joe, to be honest with
01:22you. Look, I've known Jazz very well, played here in Miami for many years. I'm very happy to say that
01:28while he was here, I think that he would tell you that I was one of the people that he
01:32had a really
01:32good relationship with and would count on media-wise. Very few people in his circle. I was one of those
01:37people. So, when it comes to Jazz playing- Is he that guy, though, Craig? Is he that guy that
01:45gets
01:45under other players? Well, yeah. I mean, he got under players on his own team. Yeah. So, I mean,
01:51that's definitely the case. But some of it was really, in my opinion, not to dial this back five
01:57years ago, but some of it, I thought, even with the issues that he had off the field, really, I
02:02thought
02:03the team, or not the team, I thought some guys were a little too hard on him for that. And
02:08I think
02:09that some media are also a little too hard on him for that. My opinion of, I'll start with that
02:14Jazz
02:14thing. So, my opinion of that is that in this day and age, I don't know what's right, what's wrong,
02:21what's fair, what's not. But it's crazy to me that if you don't want a guy stealing second base,
02:25then you could throw a guy out. So, that's the end of that. Okay? Like, I don't know what else
02:30to
02:30even say about it. Now, at the point that he got to second, look, so I'm 100% on him
02:39stealing
02:39second. At the point that he got to second, that's not his call anymore. So, if you want to get
02:45mad
02:46at somebody, get mad at Aaron Boone, because Aaron Boone, this is just like playing at any level.
02:51Like, when a kid in travel ball, he's 15, 14, 13, he steals second. And he shouldn't be doing it,
02:57because the game's out of hand. You see the coach go, okay, hey, hey, you know, no more. Stop. The
03:02game is over. So, Jazz is only going to do what he's known to do is steal. So, if you
03:08want to blame
03:08somebody for that, and if you think it's out of line, you know, there's a little bit of a line
03:13there at that point. It seemed egregious. Still, I'm okay with it. Probably 51, 49%. Yes, that's fine.
03:18As far as the catch is concerned, of course, it was a catch. I saw it. Raffaella, I thought,
03:23caught the ball. But I don't know. Like, 16 to 1. Like, what are we talking about here? Like,
03:27you think that that opened up the floodgates for 13 runs or 14 runs? But yes, the Red Sox,
03:34look, the Red Sox announcers are playing to the home crowd. Look, I'm on the home broadcast. I get
03:39it. I understand it totally. But they were not winning that game no matter what. And I got news
03:43for you. If these two teams square off again, I'll probably, without judge, I'll probably pick
03:48Boston to win again. But when you send down two of your most impact players for other guys,
03:53this sort of stuff happens. Yep.
