00:00Brother, you know, there's a question I've always had in my life, and I believe you've
00:05probably asked yourself this at least once too. Here's the thing, does a person who died actually
00:11know that they died? Are they aware of it? Or do they just wander around you know, thinking people
00:18can see them? Or maybe do they just panic because now no one can hear them anymore? And they stay
00:25there you know, in this in-between, not really alive but also not gone somewhere else? Do they
00:31just wander around here? Brother, this question has really bothered me for a long time. In fact,
00:36I used to have that idea you know, that when someone dies, they stay there at the wake, watching
00:41their relatives cry, looking at their own body, but they can't go back into it anymore. It's something
00:47terrible right? A suffocating feeling. Actually, before I converted, I always liked to watch a lot
00:53of movies you know, and I remember I watched that movie The Sixth Sense. My brothers, that really
01:00troubled my soul, because the man died and he tried to talk to his wife and she wouldn't respond to
01:06him.
01:07Actually, he thought she was upset with him, but in reality, after some time, he realized that he had
01:14died. Brothers, what a terrible thing, right? Actually, I watched another movie at the time called Ghost,
01:20where the husband died and the wife was there suffering and she was in danger of losing her life.
01:26And then, the deceased husband tries to talk to her, he tries in some way to give her a sign
01:33and even
01:33warn her, but he can't, because he died. Brothers, so these doubts, they start filling our minds with worry,
01:41but today I am here to clarify things for you in the light of God's word. I am going to
01:47show you real
01:47cases here, you'll be impressed to see how many answers the Bible has for every area of our lives.
01:55So, if you've ever thought, oh, does a person who died in an accident go somewhere without knowing
02:01where they're going? Will they try to get in touch with other people? Stay with me and you'll clear up
02:09all your doubts now, alright? Watch until the end and if you like content like this, if you want to
02:15learn the Bible in a very simple way, every day, then subscribe to my channel, alright? So, let's go!
02:22Brothers, I know you've already heard about these NDE cases, experiences, NDE experiences and me,
02:29when the person usually has a cardiac arrest, they are there on the operating table and then they feel
02:35like they are leaving their body. They start looking around the whole hospital room, they see people,
02:41they visit places, right? Some see a very bright light, others experience disturbances, right? They
02:48see terrible things, but suddenly they return to their own body and bring back these stories. Medicine
02:54has been trying to explain why this happens. They think that many times it's a hallucination,
03:01the person is simply tripping, it's as if the brain is having these reactions. But anyway,
03:07medicine only goes so far and when the person finally dies, then medicine can't do anything else,
03:13it doesn't have that answer anymore. But, thank God, we can have that answer today through the Bible,
03:20through the Word of God. And, for a long time, people in the churches, they were not interested in
03:26this subject or simply had a superficial answer. Saying that a person who dies, they remain asleep,
03:34they wait there for thousands of years until the trumpets sound, isn't that right? It's as if the
03:40person has no consciousness at all. After all, Solomon said that a person who dies, they don't think about
03:46anything anymore, they don't produce anything, they don't work. In fact, in the New Testament,
03:52the apostles used the expression sleep in this context. As if the person who died was really
03:58sleeping. But brothers, everything in the Bible shows that actually, this was just an expression,
04:05it was just a way of saying it. That the passage from life to death for the Christian is something
04:11peaceful, it's a gentle transition that brings peace, and that's why it's compared to sleep, you see?
04:17When you sleep, you simply drift off and you wake up the next day. So I want to bring you,
04:24in a very
04:24simple way, an explanation that really matches what the Bible says, and you'll agree with me.
04:31The truth is, brothers, that when a person dies, they don't go wandering around, visiting relatives,
04:37and they're also not trapped inside a house or in a cemetery. Brothers, that's not true. In fact,
04:44I've already made a video here on my channel, which I'll leave at the end for you to watch,
04:49answering another question that I'm sure you have, which is this. Can a person who died know what's
04:55happening with their family members who stayed here on earth? So, if you have this question,
05:00I invite you to watch that video at the end, okay? But let's keep going with the topic here,
05:05because it's really interesting. Here's the thing, the person who died, brothers,
05:10they are indeed aware that they are dead, that they are no longer alive, and that's why they won't
05:17be worried about trying to keep in touch with people here. I'm going to prove this to you in the
05:22Bible now,
05:23in Revelation chapter 6, starting from verse 9. Look at the revelation that the Apostle John received
05:30from God, when God showed him what will happen in eternity, in the end times. Look at what is written,
05:37verse 10. When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of all who had
05:44been
05:44martyred because of the word of God and for being faithful in their testimony. They cried out in a
05:51loud voice, O sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long will you wait to judge the inhabitants of the
05:58earth and avenge our blood against them? Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told
06:05to
06:05rest a little longer, until the number of their brothers was completed, their servants and fellow
06:11workers, who would be martyred as they had been. Look at this, brothers, what an interesting passage,
06:19right? First of all, I want to clarify for you that the Apostle John did not see resurrected badges,
06:25because, I don't know if you know, but the resurrection of the badges will only happen at the end of
06:31everything. So here he is seeing the souls of people, he is seeing the consciousness of those
06:36who were killed here on earth. And what are these souls doing there in eternity? Are they sleeping?
06:42Are they unaware of everything? Are they disoriented? Brothers, no way, the soul does not lose who it is
06:49when it passes through death, because pay attention to what is written here in the Bible. Oh, the souls of
06:56those
06:56who were killed, martyred, because of the word of God. They said these words, O sovereign Lord, how long
07:04will you wait to judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood against them? Brothers,
07:10just from this passage of the Bible, we already know that death does not erase our minds. In other words,
07:17those people were well aware of three things. First, they know that they have died. Second, they know how
07:23they died, why they died. It's written right here, look, they were killed because of the word of God and
07:30because of the faith they had. And thirdly, they remember what these people did on earth that caused
07:36their deaths. So much so, that they ask, how long Lord will we have to wait for judgment for the
07:43bad things
07:44these people did against us? So brothers, they didn't lose consciousness, they were aware of what happened.
07:51They even had this sense of justice, and they were still able to converse perfectly well. So much so,
07:58that God himself answered them. He gave white clothes to each one, and he spoke to them with complete
08:04clarity. So this proves to us brothers, with absolute certainty, that the death of the body does not end
08:10a person's consciousness. In fact, death only changes the place where the person will live, you understand?
08:16So now I want to explain to you the context, right, that made these people die in such a tragic
08:22way.
08:23For example, it all started back in Rome, when people were killed in the Colosseum, they were burned
08:29alive by order of the Emperor, or they had their heads cut off by the sword. And those Roman authorities,
08:35they thought that when they killed the bodies of those Christians, they were putting an end to their faith
08:41and their existence for good. So when they finally killed those people, those men, women and children,
08:49elderly people, they thought that everything had ended there. But what they didn't know,
08:54is that immediately, those people were fully conscious before God.
08:59And this completely changes the way we see our life here, right brothers? Because what we do,
09:06the decisions we make, and our obedience to God, do not go unnoticed by the Lord.
09:13Our memory brothers, is not just something physical, something that is part of our brain and that dies
09:19there in the grave, there in the cemetery. No it's not brothers, our memory is part of our soul,
09:25that which, what we truly are inside, and everything we've lived, stays with us, consciously.
09:31Of course, in heaven there will be no more tears, no more pain, no more suffering, right?
09:37All the horrible things will be over, when we are finally with Jesus. But what I want to tell you
09:42is that,
09:43our consciousness doesn't die. And maybe you're wondering about that, right?
09:47Pastor, but does this only happen to those who are saved? Only to those who died loving Jesus?
09:53Or also to those who die without God? Does that person know what happened?
09:58Brothers, that's why we are now going to another passage, which is in Luke 16, 22-25.
10:06When Jesus told the parable of Lazarus, who was a beggar, and a rich man. And Jesus said that this
10:12rich man,
10:13he didn't care about anyone, he didn't love his neighbor, he didn't serve God, he only wanted to party,
10:20to live wildly, to have lots of celebrations, to show off, until the day he died.
10:26And the beggar, who used to stay at his doorstep, who often wanted to eat good food, but couldn't,
10:32that beggar ended up dying too.
10:35And look at what Jesus said in this passage from the Bible, pay attention.
10:39In time, the beggar died, and the angels took him to be with Abraham.
10:45The rich man looked up, and saw Abraham from afar, with Lazarus by his side.
10:54The rich man shouted,
10:56Father Abraham, have compassion on me, send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water,
11:03and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames.
11:07But Abraham replied,
11:09So, remember that during your lifetime, you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing.
11:16Now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
11:20Look at this brothers, pay close attention to what Jesus taught us here,
11:24because this will make a difference from now on.
11:27Jesus is not telling some little story, for you to just imagine in your head.
11:32No, Jesus is explaining exactly what happens to a person, right after they die,
11:38before the day of final judgment.
11:40Look at this situation with the rich man.
11:43Here Jesus said that his body was buried, and for sure, he had a very luxurious funeral, right?
11:49He had a lot of money here on earth, but when he opened his eyes on the other side,
11:53he was in a place of suffering.
11:55And what happened to his consciousness?
11:57He recognized Lazarus, he recognized Abraham, isn't that right?
12:02That's what is written here in the Bible.
12:04He felt the pain of being separated from God, he realized that place was very hot.
12:09In other words, he had been condemned, he was in a place of torment.
12:14What's more, Abraham himself said to him,
12:17My son, remember that you were there on earth, and you were always showing off,
12:22you didn't want to know about God.
12:25In other words, he showed him that it was possible to remember how his life was back on earth,
12:31because his memory kept working normally.
12:34And so, probably, that man remembered, right?
12:38The parties he used to throw, he remembered how he ignored that beggar who was at his doorstep.
12:44And actually, if people keep reading the parable here, this man, he asked to come back to earth,
12:51to warn his five brothers who were still alive, to warn his whole family,
12:55so they wouldn't go to the same place of suffering, but that was no longer possible.
13:01Because Jesus himself went on to say that there is a chasm that separates the living from the dead,
13:07so that the dead cannot return to earth, and those who are alive cannot have access to the dead.
13:15And when we see people consulting the dead, brothers, we need to pray for these people,
13:20because they are spiritually deceived.
13:22I talk more about this in the video that I'm going to show you in a bit, okay?
13:27So I've shown you two passages here, this one from Revelation, about those men who were martyrs,
13:33who died because of Jesus, and I also told you this parable about the rich men and went to hell.
13:40And you can see here that their consciousness continues to function perfectly.
13:46But with one big difference, right?
13:49For those who died without God, their memory will actually bring unbearable pain.
13:54The person will remember every opportunity they missed,
13:57every time they had a chance to hear the word of God and obey and turn to God.
14:02And they didn't want to.
14:04But for those who died with Jesus, this transition will bring great relief.
14:08The person will feel a deep peace.
14:11Amen.
14:12And do you remember when Jesus was crucified and the criminal recognized that Jesus was the Son of God?
14:18And surely in his heart he repented of everything he had done wrong.
14:23And he said,
14:24Jesus, remember me when you are in paradise.
14:27And at that very moment Jesus said,
14:30Today you will be with me in paradise.
14:33Jesus didn't say to him,
14:35Look, don't worry, you're going to sleep for a while and then in the future we'll meet again.
14:40No brothers, Jesus said to him,
14:42Today you will be with me in paradise.
14:46And even the Apostle Paul, when he wrote to the churches, right?
14:50He said the following,
14:51Brothers, I don't know what to choose.
14:53I know that I really want to be with you.
14:56That's wonderful.
14:57But I would really like to die now and be with Christ, which is infinitely better.
15:03Living with Jesus
15:05So brothers, this also takes away that idea I mentioned to you,
15:09that when a person dies, they would be sleeping.
15:12No brothers, they don't sleep.
15:14They go straight into the presence of Jesus.
15:17Remember that man named Stephen, who was killed actually by the friends of the Apostle Paul,
15:23and Paul was there watching him be stoned to death.
15:26When he was about to close his eyes, he saw Jesus standing up,
15:30at the right hand of God the Father.
15:33And at that moment he said,
15:35Jesus, receive my spirit.
15:37That is, he went to meet the Lord Jesus at that moment.
15:41So brothers, I wanted to bring this message to tell you that yes,
15:45when a person dies, they know they've died.
15:49They are fully aware, even of where they went.
15:52Whether it's a place of torment, or a place of peace with Jesus.
15:57And because of that, the question remains, right?
16:00Are you sure of your salvation?
16:03No, that is not your goodness that will take you to heaven.
16:06You are not good by nature, because you are a sinner,
16:10since Adam and Eve, since sin entered the world,
16:13all of us have been abandoned by sin, brothers.
16:16So don't try to save yourself by your works, because it won't work.
16:21God, brothers, he is 100% holy, he is 100% perfect.
16:25And the Bible says that if we break just one of the commandments,
16:29if we commit just one sin, we are already separated from the glory of God.
16:34And that's why, when all of us are born, actually we are already spiritually dead when we are born,
16:41because sin has separated us from God.
16:44But the Bible says that God loved us in such a way,
16:48He loved us so much, that he sent his own son to die on the cross for our sins,
16:53because Jesus did not sin.
16:56In fact, that's what Satan wanted him to do, that he would give in to just one temptation,
17:01but Jesus did not fall, and he did this out of love for me and for you.
17:07He came from the presence of the Father, he was conceived not in a natural way,
17:11because otherwise he would be a descendant of Adam, right?
17:14But he was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and because of that, he had the chance not to fall into
17:20temptation.
17:20And because of that, he went to the cross, paying a price that wasn't his,
17:25suffering the punishment that we deserved, we were the ones who should have been on that cross.
17:31And because of that, Jesus, he suffered terrible punishment.
17:35He was separated from the Father for a brief moment, he died, but on the third day,
17:41God raised him from the dead and placed him above all.
17:45And now, Jesus is at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for me and for you.
17:51You don't need any other intermediary.
17:54Christ himself was the one who said,
17:56I am the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me. Amen.
18:04So my brothers, I want to invite you now to say a prayer, if you wish to give your heart
18:09to Jesus,
18:09if you recognize that he is your only Lord and Savior.
18:15Don't let this opportunity pass by, repent of your sins and start walking with Jesus today.
18:21This is the only way for you to be free from eternal condemnation.
18:26When you realize that your sin separates you from God, but then you understand that Jesus has already paid the
18:34price for you.
18:35And when you repent of your sins and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord,
18:40then you are saved and the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all sin.
18:46That's wonderful, isn't it brothers? I remember that before I became a Christian,
18:50I used to suffer a lot because I thought I was paying for karma that I brought from other past
18:55lives.
18:57But brothers, I understood once and for all, that actually you only have one life.
19:02And after we close our eyes, we will be with Jesus or we will be condemned to hell.
19:08It's not me saying this, it's the word of God itself.
19:12So, close your eyes, I would like you to repeat these words with me,
19:16do it with all your heart and I believe the Lord is listening to you now.
19:21Say it like this, Lord Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner, I recognize that I can't walk alone.
19:30I have lived my life my own way until today, but from now on I want to walk with you,
19:37Jesus,
19:37and that's why I ask you to forgive me for all my sins.
19:42I understand that you are my Savior and I receive you now as my Lord, as my Savior.
19:50I believe that you are the Son of the Living God and I believe that you rose again to give
19:56me eternal life.
20:00That's why I ask you, Jesus, write my name in the Book of Life and give me your salvation, your
20:05peace.
20:06I want to be with you for all eternity.
20:11In your name I pray and thank you. Amen. Glory to God.
20:17Oh my dear, if you said this prayer with all your heart, with all sincerity, know that Jesus has
20:23already heard you and now He has sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in your heart. That's why I invite
20:30you now to look for a church that preaches the word of God. Look for an evangelical church that is
20:36truly committed to the Lord. Walk with people of the same faith, buy a Bible if you don't have one,
20:43and follow the messages I'll share here. And I sincerely wish that God completes this good work
20:49He has started in your life. Amen. You are now part of God's family and I will leave two videos
20:56here
20:57for you to watch. I believe they will make a difference in your life, alright? God bless you. Take care.
21:13I hope you'll see you.
