00:00Texas, as always, are loaded.
00:04They're absolutely loaded.
00:07The difference in this year versus last is we're not guessing as much on Arch Manning.
00:15Arch Manning last year had a lot of expectations on him,
00:19the Heisman Trophy favorite.
00:21It did not go well until it did.
00:25Arch Manning was incredible.
00:30In the second half of this season, Arch Manning had a QBR of 90-plus
00:36in his final three games, four of his last five.
00:39He had 19 total touchdowns to one interception in their final six games.
00:47The team averaged, including the loss to Georgia,
00:5234.8 points per game across those six.
00:56For reference, in the first seven games of the season, it was less than 27 points per game,
01:03and that includes three games against San Jose State, UTEP, and Sam Houston, where they scored 55.
01:14I just, Cam Coleman's going to be great.
01:17The running backs will be great.
01:19Goosby's a star on the offensive line.
01:22The defense has stars everywhere.
01:25Simmons is going to battle to be the first defensive player drafted.
01:29I know I'm gushing over this team to people who are like,
01:32surely you're picking them to win the national title.
01:34No.
01:35I am picking them to go over their win total, though, at nine and a half.
01:39I'm getting plus 120 on what I believe is the most talented roster in the country to only lose twice.
01:50I just think, I understand the schedule is very, I understand the schedule is very difficult.
01:55They also, as of today, I think project as a favorite in all of the football games.
02:03I, and I think they will close as the favorite in all of the football games.
02:09I think that I personally, like if you hold me to it, Craig, I think they're, I think they go
02:1411 and one losing at LSU.
02:17That's what I think is the, the Texas schedule this year.
02:20I get it's a bear, but I'm very, very high on Arch Manning and Sark and this Texas team coming
02:31into the season.
02:31And a couple of things can be true, but also, you know, look a little bit deeper is that Arch
02:38Manning season last year reminds me a little bit of like when I'm going to use the baseball analogy is
02:46when people sort of give up and stop watching their favorite baseball team in August.
02:51And then they check back the next year and they say, wait a second, when did Arch Manning do this?
02:57Because he was so bad in the month of September that it looked like he was the most overrated player
03:05in the history of college football, Kevin.
03:06It's just true.
03:07Like, and it wasn't one game.
03:09It was another and another, and it just like, they were winning and it wasn't, it wasn't his, his credit.
03:14It was just everybody else around him.
03:16And then all of a sudden he just goes on this run at the end of the season.
03:19Kevin, I don't think people saw it.
03:21I don't think people cared.
03:22They were just like, oh, Arch Manning, he's not good.
03:24Then they look, wait a second here.
03:25I forgot about that.
03:26So I think that's my view on Manning.
03:30Let's throw up the schedule here for a minute though.
03:32Here's Kevin.
03:32This is a problem.
03:33Okay.
03:33This is where, this is, this is, this is now, I like that you're putting yourself out there here, but
03:40this is the hardest schedule I think maybe in the conference, if not college football.
03:44They play, is it right, seven teams in the top 25 to open up the season?
03:48And that could change a lot before the end of the year.
03:50Boy, if Texas wins as many games as they, as they should, or as many as you're saying, they're in
03:56that college football playoff.
03:58I don't know.
04:00I think this is super daunting to me to think that Manning can't have one bad game or two bad
04:06games.
04:06I guess your allowance is for two.
04:09I don't know.
04:10I think that they're probably the most talented team on paper, maybe in the conference.
04:15They play the hardest schedule of anyone in the conference.
04:17And I'm now a Manning believer because I probably would be accused of being one of those people who really
04:23wasn't paying as close attention to him.
04:26After I saw, you know, texting people back and forth in the beginning of the season, Arch, Manning, Kevin, what's
04:32the hype with this guy?
04:33This guy's horrible.
04:34It's just on his name alone.
04:36Like we were hearing that for like a while.
04:39But I am with you.
04:40They're going to be, they're, they're going to be really good.
04:42He's going to be really good.
04:46Boy, like at Missouri, you know, like, oh, they're supposed to win.
04:49Sure.
04:49But it's tough, you know, like it's a tough, tough, tough conference at Tennessee.
04:55Oh, they're not as good.
04:56They're supposed to win.
04:57But will they at Rocky Top with 100,000 people there?
05:00I don't know the answer to that.
05:01So I'm not as bullish because of that.
05:05And that's where my SEC bias sort of comes in here a little bit.
05:09But on paper, I am with you.
05:12This team is the best.
05:13This team has the most.
05:14And they, with four teams in the top 25, would win the most games.
05:19We probably runner up to right behind Ohio State ahead of Oregon to win the national
05:24championship.
05:24But because of that schedule, they're not.
05:26That's it.
05:27That's it.
