00:00Here's Elka wants the team to finish strong this year.
00:03You have to go through some of that sometimes.
00:06And as painful it is and as painful it was for us and our fans and everyone involved,
00:11we had never been in that position before.
00:13We had never been the hunted team.
00:15We had never been in November competing for an opportunity to get into Atlanta with our destiny in our own hands.
00:22And I think you learn how you have to elevate your game in those matchups when you become that team.
00:29And, you know, going on the road in back-to-back weeks and we didn't play the football that we needed to play to finish it.
00:36And it's been our mantra the entire offseason.
00:38Mantras don't turn into wins.
00:40But I do believe our kids have a really strong chip on our shoulder to change that story and finish this thing the right way.
00:49Yeah, listen, I think they're better than Arkansas.
00:52I'll give you that much.
00:53They're a tough team.
00:54They always are.
00:56You know, what's their win total?
00:57The Texas A&M win total right now is sitting at seven and a half.
01:05Now, look, they've got, again, it's SEC, so they've all got a pretty tough one.
01:11But I always do take a note if there's a team that doesn't have either Alabama or Georgia on the schedule.
01:18Texas A&M does not play either of them this year.
01:21So that's usually a little helpful.
01:23Now, they do play Texas, obviously.
01:26They get them every year now in the rotation with the rivalry game at the end of the year.
01:31But, you know, Missouri, South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, Miss State, Auburn, you know, they're not getting all the heavy hitters there.
01:40But they do play Notre Dame on the road.
01:42Remember, Notre Dame beat them there last year.
01:43They got to go to South Bend and return the favor now this year at a night game in mid-September.
01:50So, tough schedule.
01:52But I think they can get over it, actually.
01:54It will be a loss in South Bend, yes.
01:56But I think we can maybe get them to eight wins this year and get over that seven and a half.
02:01I like that over.
02:02I do.
02:03And I think your thought about them not having to play the heavies is a perfect opening.
02:09The door's open for them to go get it.
02:12I think the guy can coach.
02:14I think they have talent.
02:15I think they have a shot at it.
02:16I like that schedule you just talked about.
02:19They're not winning the SEC.
02:22That's not happening.
02:23I don't believe.
02:24But, you know, like I said, the handing of this conference to Texas because of what they did last year is, I think, absurd.
02:35That doesn't, you know, that doesn't cut it for me.
02:39I don't care what you did last year.
02:42You know, I don't deny that they have a loaded cupboard and a great young quarterback, right?
02:50But, you know, they've only let him play a couple times.
02:55I need to see the guy play on the road in all those hostile environments every week.
03:01I want to see what he does every single week.
03:03He's going to be their quarterback now.
03:05None of this, you know, two games and then he doesn't play again.
03:09So we don't know what they're going to be like.
03:12And I guarantee you, George is hungry and licking their chops because they didn't get it done.
03:18And Alabama, in my view, stunk.
03:23Nine and four, to me, stinks for that, right?
03:26Like, and LSU, this guy Kelly, he's angry.
03:30I mean, let's face facts.
03:32He keeps losing openers.
03:33He's in a foul mood from the jump every year.
03:36That LSU team is loaded and dangerous and ready for bear.
03:41So, you know, you look at those three, George, Alabama, and LSU.
03:46I think it's coming out of that chunk.
