00:00It's great, it's so fun.
00:03Oh my god, good to see you.
00:07How are you so busy?
00:12Howard and Beth Stern were hand-in-hand and putting up a united front
00:16as they attended John Mayer's SiriusXM performance at Stephen Talk House in the Hamptons.
00:22Mayer's old pal and fellow Sirius host Andy Cohen was there,
00:25and so was his boyfriend of one year, Kevin Sobieski,
00:28making their red carpet debut.
00:30The Bravo host looked cozy in the crowd of EastEnders.
00:33Howard and Beth were spotted right behind them.
00:36The August 28th night out was a rare public appearance for the Sterns
00:39since their ex-assistant's messy $2.5 million lawsuit against them.
00:44The couple scored a legal victory in July
00:46when a judge ruled against the claimant's allegation that her NDAs were fabricated.
00:51It all goes back to April when the bombshell suit first dropped,
00:55sending shockwaves across the radio world.
00:57Take a look.
00:58Howard Stern and his wife, Beth Stern, are being sued by a former assistant
01:02who claims they created a hostile work environment.
01:05According to documents obtained by Page Six,
01:07former executive assistant Leslie Kuhn said she began working for Howard Stern and Beth Stern
01:11in May 2024 at their 20,000-square-foot mansion in Southampton, New York.
01:17Kuhn claims she was hired to help manage the household staff
01:19and oversee day-to-day operations,
01:22including Beth Stern's extensive at-home feline rescue and fostering efforts.
01:26In the lawsuit, Kuhn alleges that despite receiving a letter in December 2025 stating she would get a raise
01:32to a $265,000 salary and an $80,000 bonus in 2026,
01:37she was fired just two months later in February.
01:41She claims her termination was the result of what she describes as a hostile work environment,
01:45along with immense pressures on the household tied to what she calls irresponsible and untenable animal rescue operations
01:52and disorganized business practices.
01:55Kuhn also alleges that the reasons for her firing, along with a non-disclosure agreement,
01:59were manufactured by the defendants, particularly Beth Stern.
02:03According to the complaint, Kuhn was presented with a sweeping NDA that she says she never signed.
02:08The agreement would have barred her from discussing nearly every aspect of the Stern's personal and professional lives,
02:13including their daily activities, food preferences, sleeping habits, hobbies,
02:18and even their choice of restaurants, hotels, and entertainment.
02:21It also allegedly restricted her from speaking about the couple's travel arrangements,
02:25the contents and locations of their properties, and their use of consumer products.
02:29The filing claims the NDA extended to any other matters related to the company and to the Stern's personal and
02:34business affairs.
02:36Kuhn is now asking the court to declare the agreement unenforceable,
02:39arguing that it unfairly silences her, while still allowing Howard and Beth to speak freely about her.
02:44In the lawsuit, Kuhn states that such an arrangement would put her,
02:47as an at-will employee with fewer resources, at a distinct disadvantage personally, professionally, and publicly.
02:54The complaint also reiterates her role managing the Southampton estate,
02:58including overseeing staff and coordinating Beth Stern's animal rescue operations within the home.
03:03Beth Stern, a longtime animal activist, has previously spoken about fostering large numbers of cats in her home,
03:09and working to rescue and re-home animals.
03:11Kuhn's lawsuit claims those operations contributed to the pressure and conditions she describes
03:16as part of the alleged hostile work environment.
03:18The allegations have not been proven in court, and the case is ongoing.
