00:35Because, like, you know, I've always had to look down and say, get your name called.
00:38That kid in the first preseason game came close to three punts on his own, okay?
00:47Just rushing from the outside.
00:48Then you hear the coaches talking about him.
00:49You start hearing them mention his name.
00:51And then he came and he got the big play you discussed.
00:55But they say, well, he's willing to return kicks, punts.
00:58He's going to cover everything.
01:00That's the damn mindset you need to have to come out here and make a football team.
01:03There are guys right now trying to make this team who say, well, I don't do that.
01:07I only do this.
01:08You know what you're going to be doing at home?
01:11But guys like Bradley, you know, are exactly what coaches are looking for.

01:18Those guys that come in here and nobody gives them a damn chance.
01:21But then you start to see him play and you go, hell, why wasn't this guy drafted?

01:27Why wasn't he a higher pick or something like that?
01:28Because they have that want to.
01:31And a lot of guys don't ever show that.
01:33So, B, I wanted to ask you this.
01:35Last week in Detroit, Jaden Daniels played.
01:39He was going to play a series.
01:40It was a three and out.
01:41The offense looked terrible.
01:42Yeah.
01:42And that was presumably the end of the preseason for Jaden.
01:46I referenced that the same thing happened with the Chargers.
01:49Harbaugh pulled Herbert after a three and out and that was all he saw.
01:52Yeah.
01:53They played Herbert last night.
01:55Justin Herbert played, had a touchdown drive, went two and three for 74 yards.
02:00They scored a touchdown and then they got him out.
02:02I don't think there's any chance Jaden's playing tonight.

03:01And I keep circling back to, they have offensive line problems.
03:08They have offensive line concerns, period.
03:10The center situation is a problem.
03:13But like, some of the theorizing from that day is a little too far too.
03:23Like I was saying yesterday to the judge, you know what I'm really excited about?
03:27Like get through tonight, get through roster cuts, is let's just see what the hell happens in Philadelphia.

03:34Like, their game planning and.
03:37The one thing about it though, Jay, dissecting it over and over again,
03:42saying it a different way than somebody else said it,
03:45isn't going to change one damn thing.
03:47The other people got to get it done.
03:48And I know we want everything done like yesterday,
03:51but there's no quick fix where you just hit a button and everything happens for you.
03:57So you got to work at it.
03:59And whatever position they're in, they put themselves in it.
04:03Now they got to get themselves out of it.
04:04And that's not just Adam Peters.
04:07That's not just Dan Quinn.
04:08That's every damn player on this team that is injured or nicked up or the guy that's not nicked up
04:15and not playing his best.
04:17You know, Chris Ball last year played terrific ball.
04:20He hadn't got to that level.
04:22Is this something he has to build up to?
04:24So everything has to work it through.
04:26But my thing is that I just, I get upset when I hear people talking as if they're not doing

04:34When you know they're trying to get it done.
04:36And you know every player is trying to get something done.
04:38But we are, like, cracking the whip.
04:41Like, why isn't it done already?
04:44It's not going to be done already.
04:45Every team is probably dealing with something like this.

04:50And Mike's like, look, man, I get that fans are freaked out.
04:53But it's not like DQ and AP are sitting on their thumbs.

06:28the bottom of that receiver room, I think we both kind of feel like,
06:34if I had to guess right now, you're going to have McLaurin, Diggs, Williams,
06:40Burks, Lane, Luke.
06:43That's six.
06:44Diami's probably seven.
06:45It feels like Van Jefferson's on the outside looking in,
06:48which is also kind of crazy because he's looked good.

06:52As I stated, somebody who's. . .
06:56And that's before we talk about Jaden Bradley.

06:59Someone who is very good is going to get cut.

08:16but the bottom of that receiver room last year, which got thrust into action because of all the injuries,
08:21was abhorrent.

08:23I mean, like, every year you're not going to have top-notch backups all the way to the last spot.
08:31Sometimes you're filling all the positions and it takes away the bulk of the money
08:35and you have to go out and you've got to get the best of the best, the best of the
08:38rest.

08:40And those guys don't get there.
08:43And then when you get those guys, you're not expecting them to have to play one damn play.
08:47And then all of a sudden, Terry's hurt, Debo's hurt, and you go, damn, you know a brown is hurt.
08:54So three of your top six are gone.
08:56Those bottom six who you just had to have extra bodies, now they're in action
09:01and they cannot match the level of play or intensity of those other three guys by no stretch.
09:10One thing I did want to specifically address is coming off the joint practices yesterday.
09:20Like, they have a problem at center, period, full stop.
09:25They also had Trent Scott – I'm sorry, they had Chris Paul, who's not playing that great this year.
09:31But they had another fellow out there, Tanoa Togai, right?

10:06And I think – not to say that, like, Cosby makes all the difference
10:10because you have a problem at center.
10:12But if you get Alec Reddy back, I don't think Togai is going to be a part of this thing
10:17when they go to Philadelphia.
10:19And I think that was a huge part.
10:21I don't know why – maybe they wanted to see what Togai had.

10:25I don't know why you maybe don't put Wiley in or put even Trent Scott in.
10:30Like, technically on the depth chart, Scott's listed as a guard.
10:33I think you get to the point, Jay, where we got so many guys hurt.
10:39I'm not going to put other guys in that I'm going to have to depend on.

10:44If they get hurt, then I'm completely screwed.

10:50But let's see if one of these young guys has something.

10:55And there have been times where young guys have shown up.
10:57There's been times also when they've fallen flat on their face.

11:01I think an interesting one tonight, if you're looking for position battles,
11:05what about Fat Man and Robert Henry?
11:08And how much do you think that fumble last week cost Robert Henry?
11:11I think it was a big deal.
11:12It's a big deal.
11:13Anytime you put the ball on the ground, it's a big deal.
11:15But, like, still, Robert Henry has shown you some things that some of the other
11:21running backs don't show you.
11:23Fat Man does stuff that some of the other running backs don't do.
11:27And that comes down to how many people you want to keep.
11:32And I'm going to just say two.
11:33I'm going to go outside of Bill and Rashad.
11:37Because the injury to – what's it called?
11:40J-Mac.
11:41To McNichols.
11:42We don't know how serious that is.
11:44So you may be counting on those other two rookies to help you get through a season.
11:50Because, like, you watch.
11:53And Robert Henry, when you first saw him, you'd be like,
11:55oh, he's a legitimate running back.
11:57He'd be a good kick returner.
11:58They have him returning punts, too.
12:00They are trying extra stuff because that kid has talent to where let's find a way
12:06to keep him around some type of way.
