00:08Over the next decade, artificial intelligence will be powered by our power grids.
00:14Right now, whether you are in the United States or you are operating a grid around the world,
00:19there is a big fear that AI loads simply won't be able to get powered by grids.
00:24Companies that I am helping build are changing that overnight.
00:27Just yesterday, while I was here at Seagre Paris and at the Rethink Power Electricity Forum,
00:35held yesterday in the same location, we are seeing $150 million in a Series A raise for Emerald AI
00:45at a $1.05 billion valuation simply on the thesis that artificial intelligence can be friendly with
00:52and participate with and be an asset for power grids.
00:56This isn't just a story about grids and AI anymore.
00:59It's a story about how we bring together the two most important evolutions happening for technology and humanity.
01:06Artificial intelligence needs to be here to power people, prosperity, learning, medicine, science, security, law,
01:15everything you can think of that we need for prospering societies.
01:20And we need power grids to work.
01:21Bringing them together is the reason I am here at Seagre to talk about Emerald AI
01:26and also to talk about the work I am doing on power grids around the world, starting in Texas,
01:31to make it easier for AI to power through the grids and help humanity.
01:36Thank you so much for Seagre Paris 2026.
01:48When we are talking about the change what AI brings to utilities and to our operators,
01:54we see a big change going from reactive grids to predictive.
01:58And with AI, I really think our vision would be autonomous grids.
02:02With AI, we are always thinking about JetGPT or GenAI, but it's actually AI was already part of our systems
02:09in the past,
02:10machine learning, neural networks.
02:12But what we can do today with AI, with GenAI, we can understand, we can connect the dots,
02:17we can connect the signals to really predict failures, anticipate failures in our grids,
02:24because we are getting a depth knowledge about our assets and about our system.
02:29So the biggest opportunity what I am seeing with AI is really we can predict the failures.
02:37So this brings a lot of safety and we can plan maintenance much better,
02:41which will reduce the OPEX costs and we are getting much more out of our infrastructure
02:45due to the understanding of our assets.
02:48So in the end, we all together with our customers need to bring our people together with AI
02:56and enable the technology of the future to get an autonomous grid.
03:09I would like to share especially the young people and especially the women.
03:17It's my experience for so many years, especially in power and energy field.
03:25I know lots of people have different ideas, but I just say very important thing is your focus.
03:34When you want to learn, when you want to make further, maybe innovation,
03:39firstly, you need to focus in your field.
03:43Every time when you're learning, no less than 20 minutes,
03:48maybe longer than two, one hour or half an hour, but don't do anything else.
03:55Just focus on this area.
03:57Even you are not completed the whole thing.
04:01You cannot make it perfect, but don't think something else.
04:08Just focus on these things.
04:10Yeah.
04:11Then you can make a good use of your time.
04:18Don't make your field so wide.
04:24One time, one thing.
04:26One time, another thing.
04:28Okay.
04:29That would help you a lot.
04:32And not yourself.
04:34Help the whole society, whole technical field.
04:46The acceleration of the energy transition is a fact.
04:49We see more projects coming up every day, more demands from our customers.
04:55The money is there, the funds are there, the technology is there, the OEMs are ramping up.
05:00The critical element is really how can we deliver those plans safely and reliably.
05:05We, as Lynxon, have built up our capabilities to deliver, and we execute well,
05:12and we deliver according to plans to our customers.
05:15Now the question is, how can we scale that capability in order to meet the accelerated demands from our customer
05:22base?
05:23Our response is a system approach.
05:26We have built an integrated system to scale EPC capabilities.
05:30It starts with training people, it continues with giving them AI-powered support, execution support,
05:39that helps people to take the right decisions during execution, and to provide consistent delivery to our customers every day,
05:48every hour, and every year.
