00:22And yeah, does it get heated? When Donald Trump wants to take the livelihood and try to hurt our country
00:30and hurt our province,
00:31I have a job for the people of Ontario. I will fight with every tool I have to protect them.
00:37He doesn't care if people lose their jobs. He doesn't care if they can't put, you know, food on their
00:42table or pay their overhead of rent or mortgages.
00:46He doesn't give two hoots. So I'll fight him right to the end. And I thought it'd be best just
00:53to simmer down.
00:54It was a heated day for both him and I going back and forth. But it looks like he simmered
01:00down too.
01:01So let's get back to the table. This is what happens when you're under attack by someone like President Trump.

01:17ultimate goal is to have a fair deal for both countries.
01:21Ford was referring to comments he made earlier in the week when he twice issued a blunt rebuke of Trump,
01:27making clear he would not be intimidated or pressured into backing down.
01:31So hopefully the President comes to a census and realizes this because if not, he's going to have one heck
01:39of a time in the midterms.
01:41He needs to get this deal done before the midterms.

01:48You know, those words resonated.
01:50Now, you usually don't use those words, but when your country's under attack and your province is under attack
01:55and this guy's just nothing but a bully, it resonated around the world and everyone in Canada.
02:02It didn't matter what political stripe.
02:04It didn't matter if you're from the green, orange, red, blue parties.
02:08Everyone is united.
02:09And if there's two great things that President Trump did for our country,
02:13he woke us up, woke us up real quick,
02:16and he's united the country that I've never seen before.
02:19So we're going to stay united, right across the board, and we're going to keep moving forward.
02:26Trade talks between the US and Canada collapsed last week,
02:30with each side blaming the other for derailing three days of intensive negotiations.
