00:00in terms of a Diamond League record. It's the only one we've had.
00:04Stoner and Mullings further down the list.
00:08And so to the final track action of the afternoon. It's rather special. It's the women's 100 metres.
00:14Such a clash here in the women's 100 metres. The last two world champions, Sha'Carri Richardson, Melissa Jefferson Wooden,
00:22up against the Olympic champion Julian Alfred. But Brianna Lyston of Jamaica goes in one.
00:27Zoe Hobbs won the Commonwealth Games in cold wet conditions in Glasgow for New Zealand. She takes two.
00:33There is Sha'Carri Richardson, seven times sub-11 this season. It's been three weeks since her last race and
00:39she won USA's.
00:41Julian Alfred, the Olympic champion over this distance, four Diamond League wins this season.
00:45Melissa Jefferson Wooden won the 100 and the 200 in Tokyo. The only defeat this season was to Alfred, but
00:52over 200 metres.
00:53Tina Clayton took silver in Tokyo last year. The Jamaican goes in lane six.
00:58Ava Soboda, silver for her at the European Championships last week. And the Polish women taking the applause from the
01:04home crowd.
01:05Tia Clayton of Jamaica goes in lane eight Olympic finalist. She's been under 11 once this season in May.
01:12And Kayla White of the United States out in lane nine. She was a late entry to this event.
01:16She took her first ever Diamond League win in Lausanne from an outer lane as well. She was in lane
01:20seven all on her own, the Americans.
01:22So maybe that will suit her here in the 100.
01:27But a massive, massive clash here between Richardson in lane three, Alfred in lane four and Jefferson Wooden in lane
01:36five.
01:37As we get into the sharp end of the season, we keep mentioning it. Diamond League final coming up and
01:42then the world ultimate championships all to play for.
01:47And this could be a real look into an insight into the form of the Americans and Alfred after a
01:53bit of a time away from competition.
01:59And the fastest start perhaps going to Tina Clayton and Julian Alfred still looking down at her feet.
02:05She looks up now and she's going to see Melissa Jefferson Wooden. The American is going to get the win
02:09just on the line 10.77 for Melissa Jefferson Wooden.
02:14A slight following wind. And that is a brilliant mark. It's been rounded up to 10.78 from Jefferson Wooden,
02:20but that's an important win.
02:23And these women will be so dialed in to the next two or three weeks. And Jefferson Wooden will walk
02:29away from Celestia with a spring in her step.
02:33She maintains her unbeaten streak over 100 this season.
02:37Brilliant, brilliant performance from Jefferson Wooden. She's now drawn level in the overall head to head with Alfred at four
02:43wins a piece over 100 metres.
02:46And she's now won the last three and that's starting to feel like a trend. You can see the strain.
02:52Alfred having to work really, really hard.
02:54Richardson trying to come back at them. But Jefferson Wooden doing enough, staying relaxed, staying supple.
03:01And holding on for 10.78 equaling her season's best. 10.83 unofficially for Julian Alfred ahead of her rival,
03:14Richardson in 10.96.
03:16And two Americans either side of Alfred, the Olympic champion.
03:26And all smiles from Jefferson Wooden. That week in Tokyo was just phenomenal for her. Gold in the 100.
03:33Kid for the flag.
03:38I'm glad to hear the future.
03:39Here's my wife.
03:40I'm glad you're here.
03:41You
