00:00Everybody rise!
00:05Rise!
00:08Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the Drag Race lip-syncs that had us
00:13rolling on the floor laughing our pads off.
00:15For this list, we're sticking with the American franchise, so Drag Race UK and other international spin-offs won't be
00:22here.
00:32Number 10. Jinx Monsoon vs. Detox.
00:36Drag Race's fifth edition saw four worthy competitors bottlenecking at the finale.
00:41The final four lip-sync came down to confident veteran Detox and quirky underdog Jinx Monsoon.
00:46This is a perfect song for me to play up a shtick. Thank God I'm not wearing that hoops skirt.
00:57But sometimes, the song choice is what makes or breaks a performance.
01:02Ima Sumac's song Malambo No. 1 made the two have to embody the sounds rather than the lyrics.
01:07It is hypnotizing to watch.
01:09This is one of those lip-syncs where part of the fun is imagining what someone would think if they
01:14just walked in on it with no context.
01:16I look over at Detox and she's doing her thing.
01:18She's playing the opera singer, she's doing her quirky little lip-moving thing.
01:23If I was Jinx, I'd be worried.
01:24Detox is good, but there's something about Jinx's ability to match the song's kooky energy that makes it irresistible.
01:31Jinx is kicking and dancing and she's bumping her hips.
01:35I hate to say it, but Detox might be getting outdanced by Jinx.
01:40Number 9. Ginger Minj and Sasha Bell vs. Jaden Dior Fierce and Tempest DuJour.
01:55Part of the fun of the Conjoined Queens Maxi Challenge was how the paired-off contestants would manage walking the
02:00runway in their attached looks.
02:02It went from good to great when it came time to lip-sync.
02:15The irony of I Think We're Alone Now being the song choice is not lost on us,
02:19but it's nothing compared to the comedy of watching Ginger and Sasha make a show of detaching themselves.
02:24This is the most epic lip-sync ever!
02:28Jaden and Tempest's obvious struggle is also funny in its own way, to us more than them.
02:33All around, it's good TV, and another reason why Season 7 is underrated.
02:39Wow! That was outrageous!
02:43Number 8. Jessica Wilde vs. Raja O'Hara.
02:46Raja might have been the episode's lip-sync assassin, but Jessica Wilde fired the first shot.
02:51Actually, she fired both of them.
03:02Ripping off her cover-up to reveal a magnificent breastplate,
03:05Jessica just decides to make the metaphor of Kim Petras' coconuts even more obvious.
03:10Clearly, Raja couldn't compete.
03:12She was a good sport, though, even looking down at her chest like she was trying to get her own
03:16coconuts to bounce.
03:17Yeah!
03:26Rupaul, Michelle Visage, and the judges were in disbelief the entire time.
03:31Jessica won the lip-sync, although it's safe to say Gravity was her collaborator on this one.
03:36I'm coconuts!
03:38You can put them in your mouth!
03:42I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not,
03:45I'm not, I'm not!
03:51Late for my job and the traffic was bad, had to borrow ten bucks from my old man, uh-huh,
03:59it ain't no big thing.
04:01This was the showdown we were waiting for.
04:04Landing in the bottom together, Season 17's power couple Corey King and Lydia B. Collins faced off,
04:10or should we say faced on, to Lita Ford's power rock anthem Kiss Me Deadly.
04:14They took that title literally.
04:28Between air guitaring and prancing in fine furs, Corey and Lydia took the opportunity to hard launch their relationship.
04:34The moment they locked lips, the entire studio went up.
04:38Come on pretty baby, kiss me, come on pretty baby, kiss me.
04:47This is the moment we've been asking for.
04:51Corey lost the lip sync, but did she?
04:54She got to call RuPaul an old man and get a nice long smooch.
04:58In this scenario, we all win.
05:03They delivered honey, there was tongue, bitch, it was fierce.
05:07Number 6. Jane Don't vs. Discord Adams
05:10I'm standing with one of the greatest walkers in the history of RuPaul's Drag Race,
05:17and so I think it's only appropriate that we sissy that walk.
05:22Sometimes, you just have to make the best of the situation.
05:25This Lala Perusa matchup is funny just on principle.
05:28Jane Don't literally chose the song because of Discord's iconic runway walk.
05:32It's so good, Jane should get a producer credit on this episode.
05:48The tune's coordinated recreation of that walk makes it one of those beautifully ridiculous lip sync moments we live for.
05:53And if I lie, or if I fall, I'm on my mind, I'm on my way.
06:01Yeah!
06:04Woo!
06:06Of course, she does that in the most hilarious way possible.
06:10It was just as funny when she tried it in her next lip sync,
06:13but Juicy Love Dion's stunts were just too good.
06:16Cha-cha bitch!
06:18Ah!
06:18Woo!
06:19Cha-cha bitch!
06:21Cha-cha bitch!
06:22That's good!
06:24Cha-cha bitch!
06:25Number 5.
06:26Silky Nutmeg Ganache vs. Silky Nutmeg Ganache
06:30Imagination, life is your creation
06:32Come on Barbie, let's go party!
06:35Come on Barbie, yeah!
06:36In the Barbie world!
06:38Her competitor decided not to lip sync for her chance to get back into the competition,
06:42but that didn't mean Silky couldn't put on a show.
06:45She had a whole performance planned, and it was not going to waste.
06:49So, Silky decided to pull a share in West Side Story and play all the parts.
06:53You're my doll, rock and roll, can't look like a red thing,
06:57kiss me here, tell her there, hanky, hanky.
07:01You can play, you can play.
07:04Doing Aqua's Barbie Girl, she lip synced to both the Barbie sections and the Ken sections.
07:09But, she fully committed, revealing that she had a masculine drag persona on the other side of her body
07:15specifically for the Ken parts of the song.
07:17This half-and-half look is one of the most bizarre and insanely funny things to ever happen on the
07:22show.
07:22Come on Barbie, let's go party!
07:26Come on Barbie, let's go party!
07:30Come on Barbie, let's go party!
07:33Number 4.
07:35Roxy Andrews vs. Plastique Tiara
07:37There's no denying that Roxy is one of the show's best ever when it comes to lip-syncing.
07:42Oh!
07:43We were the best of friends
07:45It all began
07:47He came into town and changed the place
07:51Her command of the stage during Diana Ross' disco hit No One Gets the Prize
07:55left Plastique Tiara in the dust.
07:57During the song's bridge, she timed a fierce glare at the judges perfectly with the music.
08:03Back off!
08:03Oh my God!
08:06Oh my God!
08:07Oh my God!
08:07Come on, bitch!
08:08Try to stay here
08:09Try to stay here
08:11Run behind my back
08:12Oh my God!
08:13Then, she delivered Ross' spoken word section with such conviction that you forgot it was a lip-syncing for a
08:18second.
08:19Unlike her comedy, she kills it when a song gives her the chance to do some all-caps acting.
08:24No one, no one, no one's a prize
08:28Oh my God!
08:30Oh, no one, no one's a prize
08:33Oh my God!
08:33Woo!
08:34Number 3
08:35Monet X Change vs. Dusty Ray Bottoms
08:37We've got two words for you
08:39Fake-out split
08:40We're about to get up and burn this door
08:45You know we're getting hotter and hotter
08:48Sexy and hotter to shut it down
08:50Oh!
08:51Monet X Change was doing great just mugging to the song.
08:54When she crosses herself to the beat of the music,
08:57we know what she's about to do, and she knows we know what she's about to do.
09:00So when she just refuses to complete the split we're expecting, we have no choice but to laugh.
09:05Oh, no, no!
09:07Help me want to laugh a little more
09:11We're about to get up and burn this door
09:15She had Rue cracking up at the stunt.
09:17It takes layers of Drag Race fandom and references to understand,
09:21but the host's laugh is infectious.
09:23We still don't know what's up with her face-kini in this episode,
09:25but that's beside the point.
09:27Help me want to laugh a little more
09:37Number 2
09:38Kennedy Davenport vs. Hershey LaCourgette
09:40Everybody laugh
09:46Lounging in their caftans and planning a brunch
09:52A classic show tune from a classic show.
09:55It is amazing it took this long for the ladies who lunched to show up on Drag Race.
09:59The boozy showstopper from Stephen Sondheim's company is a perfect opportunity to play up a character.
10:05Kennedy Davenport took that to the nth degree.
10:08I'll drink to that
10:13And here's to the girls who just watch
10:16Aren't they the best?
10:18She hid flasks all over her runway look to pull out and guzzle from at various points during the song.
10:24It's not a word-perfect lip-sync, but that's by design.
10:27The more inebriated Kennedy's character becomes, the slower and sloppier she gets, and it is an absolutely perfect approach.
10:35Let's hear it for the ladies who lunch!
10:38Everybody rise!
10:43Rise!
10:46Before we unveil our top pick, here are some honorable mentions.
10:50Bende LaCreme vs. Darian Lake
10:51Miss Lake collects her imaginary coin.
11:06Bende LaCreme vs. Aja
11:07De La's Anaconda had the judges in a choke hold.
11:11Binge with a fat ass in a f***ing club
11:14I said, with my fat ass pig bitches in a club
11:18The skinny bitch
11:19The skinny bitches in a club
11:21Alaska vs. Katya
11:23Two all-stars matching each other's freak.
11:36Raven vs. Nicole Paige Brooks
11:38Raven breaks it down for her competitors
11:41Never gonna get it, never gonna get it
11:43Never gonna get it, never gonna get it
11:46Never gonna get it, never gonna get it
11:48Never gonna get it
11:50Never gonna get it, never gonna get it
11:53Lala Ree vs. Joey Jay
11:55Lala Ree had this one in the bags
12:09Number 1, Ginger Minj vs. Mayhem Miller
12:23This is what happens when two lip-sync assassins meet on the battlefield and maximize their joint slay
12:28Ginger Minj and Mayhem Miller are two veterans who always bring a unique take on a song
12:33Their duel on Lizzo's hilarious track phone is complete madness
12:46Mayhem is a great dancer and Ginger is a gifted actress
12:49She also knows how to make up for her shortcomings
12:52Which makes for a fantastic lip-sync against someone who can do more traditional dance moves than her
13:05Once they start chasing each other across the main stage as the song repeats the catchy chorus
13:10This goes from hilarious to legendary
13:22What other Drag Race lip-syncs had you cackling?
13:25Tell us in the comments
13:26We'll see you next time
13:30We'll see you next time
13:32We'll see you next time
