00:02At the end of its third week, a lunch 18 years ago became a sharp focus at the Alan Jones
00:08trial.
00:08It's there that he's accused of touching the groin of a then colleague known as Complainant C.
00:13The court previously heard it was on Sydney's lower north shore in 2008 when Mr Jones sat next to C.
00:20A witness today recalled seeing two other attendees appearing amused.
00:25He said the Complainant appeared distraught as Mr Jones left hand was under the table.
00:31He looked in shock, upset.
00:33After the lunch the witness said he heard one of the amused men make a comment to C about copping
00:38a feel
00:39and said C commented that it was unbelievable.
00:42His head was down, he didn't look up.
00:45I distinctly remember thinking something bad has happened here.
00:48The witness said as he walked to a car C appeared absolutely devastated
00:53and Alan Jones was patting him on the back and squeezing the back of his neck.
00:58He kind of reared away from the touch.
01:01Alan Jones denies all allegations and has pleaded not guilty to 22 counts of indecent assault and sexual touching.
01:09Complainant C previously told the court this was the first time Alan Jones touched him in front of other people
01:14and that the copping a feel comments left him deeply embarrassed.
01:19In 2023 the witness spoke with journalist Kate McClymont who published allegations about Mr Jones.
01:26The defence suggested that in a recording of the conversation he agreed he'd never seen Alan Jones put hands below
01:33the table in a restaurant.
01:34But he said that was in reference to other people not complainants see.
01:39Another attendee of the lunch who gave evidence today said he didn't see anything inappropriate.
