00:02As we heard earlier, the Sydney Swans have apologised for the behaviour of five players
00:07who have been suspended for the rest of the season for breaching the club's behavioural
00:12standards.
00:13Riley Bice, Nick Blakey, Isaac Heaney, James Jordan and Chad Warner have all been banned,
00:18but the club stressed the sanctions are independent of the Victoria Police investigation.
00:23Let's go to David Mark at Swans headquarters in Sydney.
00:27David, the five players have now issued a joint statement.
00:30What does it say?
00:33Yeah, that's right.
00:34It was put out by the club on behalf of those players.
00:37It says, we're deeply sorry to everyone involved.
00:40We know that our behaviour has fallen well short of the standards expected of us and the values
00:46of our club.
00:47It says, we know we've let down our partners and families, members, supporters, teammates,
00:52the AFLW team, corporate partners and everyone at the club and the wider community.
00:58They apologised and said they accepted their sanctions.
01:01So, ISK, it's really the first step.
01:03That statement, along with the bans of the players, is the first step the club has taken
01:07to try to redeem its reputation, which has really taken a trashing in the last few days.
01:12So, let's record this presentation on Friday in Saturday.
