A family-run convenience store in Bellflower, California, was reportedly ransacked by a large group during a chaotic street takeover over the weekend.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, surveillance footage showed three people using power tools to smash through the store’s front window and cut the lock on a security gate. Once inside, as many as 40 additional suspects allegedly rushed into A-Z Market and looted the business for roughly two minutes before disappearing into the crowd.

The family says the incident caused approximately $30,000 in combined losses from stolen merchandise and property damage.

For the owners, the store represents far more than a business. It is their livelihood and a place they have spent years building for the local community.

Authorities issued multiple citations related to the street takeover, but no burglary arrests were made because investigators could not directly connect anyone at the scene to the break-in.

The incident comes days after another large group allegedly targeted an AutoZone in East Los Angeles.
