This DIY mosaic patio table build starts with a weathered round bistro table and ends with a handcrafted ceramic mosaic surface embedded in concrete. Red, black, and grey ceramic dinner plates are smashed with a wooden mallet, then each angular shard is hand-pressed into a fresh wet concrete coat applied directly over the original wood tabletop. White grout is poured across the full surface to seal every gap between pieces, left to cure, then wiped clean to expose vivid colour and sharp grout lines.

The finished table is paired with matching cast-iron bistro chairs and styled with a coffee mug and cookies for a complete backyard reveal. A practical, durable, and completely unique outdoor furniture project achievable over a single weekend.

Watch to the end for the full reveal.
