This DIY concrete stepping stone project uses a large tropical leaf as a natural mold pressed directly into wet concrete to transfer detailed vein impressions. Once the concrete cures, the leaf is peeled away to reveal a crisp heart-shaped relief. The outer edge is chipped clean, the slab is flipped and stained with warm amber-ochre pigment, and the finished stones are laid as a winding garden path across a front lawn.

No plastic molds or special equipment are needed — only bagged concrete, a bucket, a large leaf, a chisel, and concrete stain. The result is a series of organic, handcrafted stepping stones that integrate naturally into a landscaped garden setting.

Watch to the end for the full reveal.
