01:40con because at the end of the day what we're seeing now is that there's no new original intellectual
01:47property no new ips that are being thrown out into the dnd world or to the media world everything is
01:55based on a movie that's based on a book that's based on an old comic book blah blah blah nobody's
02:01sitting there saying you know what it happens but it's in the indies right now and you can you know
02:06a mile away where there's a huff new property that everybody wants like right now the big thing is
02:10dungeon crawler carl and they already have their own tdrpg coming out which is great i mean it's

02:22it tried to try to build a character with it but it's not that it exists it exists so yeah

02:48the bigger they are the more skittish they are because they have more to lose so they want you

03:01what they're trying to do is create a standard process where they can just take an item stamp out the
03:09widget you know it takes that makes it out the widget it's a mechanistic mission that every
03:15large business corporation has part of it is to make it more profitable but a lot of it has to

03:22with i don't know i will say maybe a little more of i can't tell you i'm right personally i've

04:55goes to maybe other ips comic books cartoons and it's all another old school corporate buzzword
05:07synergist it's all part of the common synergy it's the singular you know supposed to the
05:15this synergy just means that every product is based on another product and they help support the sale
05:22of the other products back and forth you know like symbiosis yeah big words that mean just you know
05:31rehashing the old thing and the more you use one thing then we're gonna like the other one isn't the
05:36same brainwashed blah blah blah so yeah hasbro does that and marvel does not now marvel has a more direct
05:43pipeline it starts with print comics that can go either towards video games and or movies at the same time
05:52these names comics video games then you know tv and movies that was the original paper and then
05:59marvel studios came out after both fox and sony was making lots of money off of licensed marvel products
06:10and you know basically license means that sony paid a chunk of money to get spider-man a lot of
06:16spider-man villains that's why there's a subset of the novel universe called the sony spider-verse
06:22so they own the spider-man and all the spider-man related characters and the villain fox owned i
06:29believe well the x-men and the fantastic four i'm writing it that was their little chunk of marvel so
06:35that's why when the avengers came out vendors were not never as big as the x-men i think the

06:42x-men the 90s read it avengers are more like uh early 80s kind of 70s thing x-men were

06:49so 90s when they really exploded the character designs also improved okay geeking out over
06:55something that's not our main geek out on this channel that maybe i should talk more about comics
06:59but i'm not a comic expert i know a few things about dnd but comics or some other thing i
