00:00Welcome back to another Luanty mod review. Today we are looking at the uranium stuff mod.
00:06Hey mouse, get out of here, you're not part of this presentation.
00:09And this mod adds stuff made out of uranium. Surprise, surprise.
00:15Now it's actually, I don't know if I want to say intended to be used,
00:19but the, I guess, main inspiration behind this was Technic and the leftover uranium bits you get
00:28when you are centrifuging your uranium to get enriched uranium,
00:36and you end up with all of these 0% uranium bits at the end, which, of course, do you
00:44no good.
00:45Now I am not using Technic here, this mod does provide ore generation for uranium if you are not using
00:50Technic,
00:51but the levels that the ore spawns at is far less than the values that it would with the Technic
00:59mod.
00:59I actually placed these ore blocks out here myself just for the purpose of this demo
01:06because I spent a hot minute looking, I couldn't find any.
01:11Now they will spawn, by default, between negative 80 and negative 300 nodes deep in stone,
01:16so I am in the correct vicinity for them to be, I just couldn't find any.
01:23Harvest your uranium, you can get uranium lumps as per usual.
01:27Cook that down in a fire to get uranium ingots, again, as per usual.
01:33Now you can make a handful of things out of the uranium, such as armor.
01:36I just didn't have enough on me to make the pants, because, yeah, I didn't.
01:44You can make tools, uranium gems, which we're going to need one of because the reason I'm not wearing the
01:52armor,
01:53if you are wearing the armor or equipping the uranium tools, like we have this uranium pickaxe,
01:58which is quite speedy, but you'll notice that I'm taking some damage holding it.
02:02And that's because, well, you know, uranium is radioactive.
02:06So there's a little bit of a radiation issue just holding it in your hands.
02:10We can negate that, however, using the uranium protection gem.
02:15And we're going to make one of those right now.
02:17I think I have everything we need.
02:19We'll just craft the uranium gem.
02:24And then this.
02:28Oh, dude, do I actually not have steel on me?
02:31What kind of a rookie doesn't have steel?
02:34Well, no worries.
02:37I guess we'll just pump some out real quick.
02:40While that's cooking, I guess we'll go ahead and take a look at this.
02:45So, of course, we have the uranium armor.
02:47The uranium armor will provide radiation protection as well.
02:52I don't know where we get radiation from, because I was standing right next to those blocks,
03:00and I had no issues with radiation poisoning.
03:03So I'm not really sure what that all means, but it does do it.
03:10But I don't know offhand what the values are for anything else.
03:14The uranium protection gem, you just need to have in your inventory someplace,
03:17and then you will not reap the dire consequences of holding uranium tools or wearing uranium armor.
03:25So you can see this is quite speedy, and it seems to be holding up all right, which is swell.
03:36I do believe I shall take my armor.

03:42I did have some steel armor here, but, well, that's going to have to say bye-bye, because the uranium...
03:49Oh, it provides fire protection, which I don't know.
03:56We have heal 36 and fire 9.

05:31I think for that we might need to go someplace where there's animals.
05:38Also, I think I probably need to make the uranium sword first, because...
05:44Without the uranium sword, I don't think I can actually demonstrate the whole uranium bit.
05:52So, oh, there's another one that I put out and didn't harvest.

12:34And my armor still looks pretty good.
12:36So the damage it's doing isn't really wrecking my armor.
12:38Which is handy.
12:39Um, it is a liquid.
12:40So it does...
12:41Anything that has a floodable.
12:42Or is floodable.
12:44However that's phrased up in the engine.
12:46Such as the torches.
12:48They will, uh...
12:49They will drop.
12:50It does kind of glow a little bit though.
12:52So it does provide a bit of light on its own.
12:56Um, I think that's everything...
12:58Again, this was originally intended to be used with the Technic mod.
13:02So you'd have something to use all of your 0% uranium.
13:06But...
13:07Again, it provides its own uranium if you do not have the Technic mod installed.
13:11So it works just fine as a standalone.
13:13Now, of course, I'm using 3D armor here.
13:15If you don't use 3D armor, you...
13:17You lose the 3D armor aspect of it.
13:19And if you're not playing with mobs, of course...
13:22Um...
13:23Well...
13:23The mobs won't become radiated when you hit them with the uranium tools.
13:27And you won't be able to get the goo.
13:30Um...
13:30But, yeah.
