00:12Preliminary investigations indicated that the boat was overloaded when it capsized amid
00:17strong winds.
00:18The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the updated death toll in a post on X, saying
00:24the vessel was designed to carry 90 passengers, but may have been carrying more than 120 people
00:30while crossing the lake, which borders Zambia.
00:33So far, 67 survivors have been rescued and taken to a nearby primary school for medical
00:39attention.
