00:00And I've often, you know, I've learned as I've gotten older that life is, you know, it's about the journey,
00:06not just the destination, right?
00:07When you sometimes look back and go, man, that was a crazy run.
00:11That was a wild couple of years.
00:13You're really compiling, like, a lot of these, you know, viral historic moments that I was going to say that
00:19to you that not a lot of women can say, yeah, I fought at Fenway Park.
00:22Not a lot of men can say they fought at Fenway Park before.
00:25Or you really are, like, trailblazing and just doing things, living just a kick-ass life right now, doing things
00:32that very few people get an opportunity to do or can do, I should note, or can do.
00:38I swear, I have to pinch myself every day whenever it's hard and I'm dragging myself out of bed.
00:44I have to remember, like, I'm doing the coolest things with the coolest people and my life is awesome.
00:50So I have to pinch myself all the time.
00:53Now, speaking of which, it seems to me that you're sort of extra locked in for this fight.
00:59And I know you get locked in for every fight.
01:02Listen, every fighter's next fight is the biggest fight of their career, but this really is the big time, right?
01:06It's Fenway Park.
01:07You're ranked third in the strongweight rankings right now.
01:11What does this fight mean to you, like, for your career?
01:15Like, well, put the fun and the journey aside.
01:18It's a big fight for you.
01:19It's a big platform, and you win this fight, you have even bigger fights with bigger stakes coming up down
01:25the road.
01:26I've been saying that I want to rematch Britton Hart again in the strongweight, the champ of the strongweight division.
01:31She's amazing.
01:32It's all with respect when I say I want to fight her again.
01:36But who else is going to deserve it?
01:38You know, the women in our division are 3-0, but I'm going to be on my 11th fight.
01:43I will be 3-0 within the past year.
01:46I think I'll deserve it more than anybody.
01:48So this is just another roadblock to get to that destination, and I have to go and make a stamp.
01:53I just finished my last opponent.
01:55I want to do the same thing this time.
01:57That way I can just solidify what's next for me.
02:00I would love to get a title shot again.
02:02And I'm just, you know, I want to make more means.
02:04I want to get my face out there.
02:06So I'm not rushing it, but whatever happens, happens.
02:10But I know that this is where I'm going to be able to put my stamp on my 115-pound
02:14career and call my shots.
02:17So we're basically, you know, less than three weeks now.
02:22So two and a half, three weeks type of deal.
02:24But as I stated, it seems to me that you've been locked into the gym for a little while right
02:28now.
02:28Has this been a routine camp for you, or has it been, like, sort of extra intense?
02:34Did you get started earlier?
02:36Like, how has the camp gone for you?
02:39I'll say it's been more intense just because of outside life forces.
02:42Like, I've been training clients.
02:44I've been doing strength and conditioning for other people on top of training myself.
02:49And I've been driving, traveling, going all over the place that I can to get the best work from everybody.
02:54I drive two hours to train for two hours, and I drive two hours home.
02:58That's six hours in a day.
03:00And then I take clients in between.
03:01And then I've got strength and conditioning over here.
03:03I've got more boxing over here.
03:05It's been, I've had my foot on the gas, and I haven't stopped.
03:09And thankfully, this is something that most people would fold under.
03:12But I'm really enjoying the process of just having a lot of pressure on me and not folding.
03:19And it's going to really show.
03:21I've done, I think my last fight, a lot of people mentioned that I looked like a different fighter.
03:25And I can't wait to show him an even better version at Fenway Park.
03:31I can't wait to see how this goes down.
03:33Now, you're fighting, you're fighting a fighter who you know is going to be in shape, an MMA veteran.
03:38But you have a lot more bare-knuckle experience in this medium.
03:43When you look at Kat, what do you see?
03:46What are you expecting from her?
03:48You know, she trains, you know, she owns a gym, she runs a gym.
03:51So you know she's going to be in shape.
03:53But what do you see, what do you expect from her in this fight?
03:57Oh, I have nothing but respect for Kat.
04:00I watched her on The Ultimate Fighter.
04:01It's so funny.
04:02I watched her before I even knew who she was.
04:04And then to watch her bare-knuckle career blossom is awesome.
04:07And I think that's, it's great for all the women that are coming up in this sport.
04:10She's tough.
04:11She lives in Denver, first of all.
04:13So her cardio is going to be top-notch.
04:15Like you said, she's in the gym all day, every day.
04:17Because that's her life.
04:18That's her career.
04:19That's her business.
04:20So, and I have a weird quality about myself that when, whoever I fight, whoever stands
04:26across from me, they always level up when they're fighting me.
04:30I don't know what it is.
04:31There's this pressure.
04:32I don't know.
04:32You've got a target on your back.
04:34You bring the best out of people.
04:37People tend to work a lot harder when they're fighting me.
04:40So I know that she's bringing the best version of herself.
04:43She knows what to do.
04:44She's a vet, like you said.
04:45So I'm expecting, like, I'm expecting a tough-ass fight.
04:48And I'm ready for it.
04:49I'm ready for any outcome, anything that she's bringing to the table, I'm ready for it.
04:53And I know that she's getting ready for me, too.
04:55So it's going to be fireworks.
04:57This is something that is going to be fight of the night, finish of the night.
05:00It's going to be all gas, no breaks.
05:03And we are going to try to kill each other.
05:05And I can't wait because she's an awesome person.
05:08She's an awesome athlete.
05:09And I can't wait to test our skills against each other.
05:11It's going to be a true test of martial arts, bare knuckle skill, and see who comes out on top.
