00:05BKFC is for me.
00:08Well, before they asked me if I would do it,
00:11I was already kind of watching and I was a fan.
00:15And I already told myself, like, man, if the opportunity came
00:20and, you know, the money was right, the opponent was right, I'd do it.
00:24And so when they presented it to me, I was like, well,
00:26I've already said yes in my mind.
00:27And they're already giving me the right opportunity, the right payment,
00:31the right opponent.
00:32Yeah, let's do it.
00:33And my first fight, 2023, against Diego Sanchez, you know,
00:37I was victorious.
00:39I get called out by the champion, Palomino.
00:42So, you know, my second fight, I had a title shot.
00:44I won the title.
00:45I'm in here now.
00:47Did I know that it was going to be so big?
00:49I did.
00:50I had a feeling BKFC was going to be as big as it is.
00:54And that's why I was like, I'm down to do it.
00:56It's the next best thing that's popping right now.
00:59Also, you know, God's plan is funny because it's eerily, subconsciously,
01:07it was my plan.
01:08And I feel like God gave me that plan because he was like, look, bro,
01:12if you want to be linked with me, here's the desire I need for you.

01:17It's definitely a blessing.
01:18I mean, headline July 3rd, America's 250th birthday in America's first capital.
01:27It's dreams coming true.
01:28Dreams still coming true.
01:31In what has become, too, Philadelphia, always a great, you know,
01:34great boxing town, obviously, with the history.
01:37But it's really become the lightblood of BKFC with these massive cards
01:41and the Philly fight fans just absolutely, you know, eat this stuff up.
01:47How much does your experience help against, like,
01:50I got to believe there's nothing that comes at you now that you haven't seen before.
01:56Like travel.
01:58You've done traveling.
01:59You know, different opponents.
02:00You've done different opponents.
02:01Different venues.
02:02Pressure.
02:03And, you know, people admit to me all the time.
02:06Yeah, I didn't think I was going to get nervous,
02:08but I walked out and there was 18,000 people I did.
02:10Or when I fought in Vegas at MGM for the first time,
02:13I tried to impress people and I got.
02:16You've been there and you've done all this.
02:19How much has your experience meant for you in BKFC
02:22against guys that haven't fought on the highest stage like you have?
02:28Well, the thing about Mike's is that it gives me an edge.
02:33Over every opponent that I have in the BKFC,
02:35I believe my experience has been giving me the edge.
02:38That and my IQ.
02:40I feel like I'm smarter than every fighter in the game.
02:42And I think that's one of my biggest assets is my IQ.
02:46And the next biggest asset is my experience.
02:49You know, I'm not the fastest.
02:50I'm not the strongest.
02:51I'm not the slickest.
02:53But I know how to put what I do have together.
02:55And that's where the IQ comes.
02:57And then the experience of how to use that against various opponents,
03:00that's where the experience comes from.
03:03So there's those two things that you can't really fake.
03:05You can't fake experience.
03:07You can't fake IQ.
03:08And I have both of those things.
03:10It's my biggest assets.
