00:05Hundreds of students have gathered in Melbourne from around a hundred schools.
00:09They say they're protesting against Pauline Hanson
00:12and what they say are her racist policies.
00:15They say that she targets minorities and refugees.
00:19Many students here today are too young to vote
00:22and they say this is the only way their voices can be heard.
00:26And I just hope that these kind of events, these kind of protests
00:30and people sticking up and showing what the true Australian values are
00:34will really show them and help change their mind.
00:37I'm here to protest Pauline Hanson because I feel like what she's doing isn't right at all.
00:41Why should people not have the rights to live as they are
00:45just because coming down to their race, their gender, who they like, that's not fair.
00:50Even though some people are different colours or different nationalities,
00:55they should still be allowed to live here in Australia
00:58and live a peaceful life where they want to live.
01:01I don't want to be here today, to be honest.
01:04I've got a lot of studying to do but I just can't.
01:08Society has gotten so hateful and I can't ignore it anymore.
01:14Victoria's Premier and Education Minister urged students to stay in school today.
01:18They said the best way to change the world is to go to school and get an education.
01:23First and foremost, my message to every student is you want to change the world?
01:28Stay at school. Focus on what you're learning is in the classroom.
01:33I understand they're angry with the sentiment and the policies of One Nation.
01:40Similar protests have been held in Bendigo and in major capital cities across Australia.
01:45So, to the public relations of One Nation is the world,
01:45for more people to be able to assist them in the classroom.
01:45the learning environment.
01:46The aim of social justice to other people to do with that is the best way to the world.
01:47And the biggest прич one that's been an important process in the classroom.
01:47it wasn't really good for you.
