00:00Uh, there are, you know, some teams that have decided, listen, I don't feel like having any
00:04more controversy. We learned yesterday that Kyler Murray, uh, is now going to be the starter for
00:11Minnesota here. He's, uh, he's beaten out to JJ McCarthy. A lot of questions about
00:15what is JJ McCarthy do from here. And if you're JJ McCarthy, yes, you had an opportunity did not
00:24work out. Doesn't mean he can't have a career as a backup in the NFL. I mean, am I, you
00:29know,
00:29and he's with a pretty good organization with a pretty good hedge coach, but I mean,
00:34at some point, yeah, and it's, uh, you got backup written all over it. And I don't think that's a
00:40terrible thing, but I'm not sold on Kyler Murray either though. Were you, although he's got a
00:45pretty good quarterback, he's got a pretty good wide receiving crew to be able to throw the ball
00:49to, but yeah, he had pretty good receivers in Arizona too. And he still couldn't get it done.
00:55No, he couldn't. And, you know, I think a lot of things are true in this
00:59scenario. When, once we got Kyler officially named the starting quarterback for the Minnesota
01:04Vikings, I think Kyler is better. I'm not saying Kyler is great. Um, I think Justin Jefferson may
01:11have played a part in this discussion and this decision. A lot of people are alluding to that,
01:15that he simply wants, uh, Kyler to start, you know, at least we have a proven quarterback again.
01:20I'm not saying Kyler is great, but he's at least proven that he can throw the ball downfield and
01:24pile up yards and get touchdowns because ultimately, you know, keeping Justin Jefferson
01:29happy is a part of the equation for the Vikings, because if he's not happy with the quarterback
01:33situation and the development of the quarterback situation, he's going to ask out. And that is a
01:38detrimental thing for the Vikings. So keeping him happy is a part of this. Uh, we're going to need
01:43some time from JJ McCarthy. He needs to develop and also his just ability to be there, you know,
01:49availability is the best ability is cliche, but he did not prove that he could stay healthy.
01:54So, and I'm not talking about the knee injury from a couple of years ago. I'm talking about
01:56last year. He just couldn't stay healthy throughout the season. So he's got a lot of learning to do.
02:00He's got a lot of development to do. Hopefully, uh, you know, KOC, uh, in the Vikings organization
02:05can take care of that. And then maybe they have a plan after Murray, but it's Murray. And I think
02:09that's the right decision. I do. Uh, listen, I do too. You're, you can't, we saw enough,
02:16I think to go, Oh, this is not going to be good. There's a lot of other question marks with
02:20that
02:21Minnesota team, by the way. So the defense took a step back last year as well. So they are going
02:27to have to figure some things out, but the one thing they don't have to figure out. And the one
02:31thing in this kind of situation, you don't want to hang it over to team Tom is who the hell's
02:35our
02:36quarterback. Uh, and at least they have figured that out. Cause you know, if you got to call Carson
02:41Wentz up or, uh, you know, if you got to be, uh, you know, see a Phillip rivers can leave
02:47the high school team. He's coaching. Yeah. Things have gone terribly wrong for your organization.
