00:00There's also a clock ticking here with Lindor, because after this season, Lindor is going to be halfway through his
00:0510-year contract, still chasing that first championship with the Mets.
00:08Did you get any sense from him, Mike, that the urgency is different now, that he doesn't just want the
00:13Mets to eventually get this right, but needs to see them get it right soon, sooner rather than later?
00:19Well, he certainly has the control as to no trade protection within his contract, and plus the fact that he's
00:25a 10-5 player, meaning, you know, 10 years in the major leagues, five with the same team.
00:28So he can veto anything, but, you know, as we've seen in the past, we saw it last offseason with
00:33Brandon Nimmo, who had the no trade, that sometimes you can be convinced that, hey, maybe you're not part of
00:40the plan here.
00:40So if I were wagering on it, I would probably wager on him finishing his career with the Mets, just
00:45because, you know, there's a lot of money left on that deal, and it's hard to orchestrate those kind of
00:51trades with that kind of money left.
00:53But at the same time, we've seen it before.
00:56If I were a gambling man, I would wager on Francisco Lindor being a Met for his entire career.
