An Undercover CEO visits her own restaurant incognito to observe how customers and employees are truly treated. What she discovers is shocking — a restaurant manager showing unfair bias, making poor decisions, and treating people differently based on assumptions rather than fairness.
What the manager doesn’t realize is that the person quietly observing every interaction is the CEO herself, carefully watching how the restaurant is being managed.

00:08Hi, welcome to Garden Spring. It's pretty busy today, but it looks like you found a
00:12great spot. What can I get started for you? Maybe a drink to kick things off?
00:17Thanks. Actually, I was wondering, this might sound a bit odd, but do you have any leftovers?
00:28Maybe something that's about to be thrown out, and some water would be great. I'm not really in a position
00:35to pay for a meal right now. I'm sorry.
00:38Oh, I see. Don't you worry about that. Everyone deserves a good meal, no matter what. How about I get
00:46you our daily special? It's on the house.
00:49We got a really nice hearty chicken soup today, and I'll bring you some bread and butter to go with
00:54it. How does that sound?
00:55Really? You'd do that for me? That is incredibly kind. Thank you so much. I can't remember the last time
01:02someone offered me something so generous.
01:06It's absolutely no problem. We're all part of the same community here. Let me just go and put that order
01:12in for you, and how about a cup of coffee to warm you up? It's a bit chilly outside.
01:18A cup of coffee would be incredible. You sure that's not too much trouble? I really was just looking for
01:24anything the restaurant didn't want.
01:27It's no trouble at all. We always want to make sure we take care of our customers.
01:31It's been a while since I've been seen as a customer and not as a nuisance. It's nice. Thank you.
01:40What was your name? It's Tammy. And you are? Michael. It's very nice to meet you, Tammy. And thanks again
01:49for the generosity.
01:50Of course. It's very nice to meet you, Michael. Here. Let me get you some napkins and some cutlery first.
01:59What is happening here? Why are we serving someone who clearly can't pay? This isn't charity. We have paying customers
02:10to tend to.
02:11Lisa, this gentleman was just asking for some leftovers. I offered to cover a meal for him. It's really not
02:18a big deal.
02:19We throw out more food at the end of the day anyways. And I can cover the cost if it's
02:25such a problem.
02:26It's the principle, Tammy. If we start doing this, word gets out. And before you know it, we'll have a
02:33line outside our door.
02:34We're running a business. Not a soup kitchen.
02:38Lisa, Michael needs our help. It's so cold out, the least we can do is get him a meal, right?
02:44Absolutely not. You feed a stray cat, it comes back. And the same for homeless people. You. It's time to
02:55go.
02:56I really didn't mean to cause any trouble. I understand your concerns. I'll leave. Thank you for wanting to help,
03:03Tammy, at minimum.
03:03Yeah, yeah. Look, save the pleasantries. We have a reputation to maintain and frankly, we can't start bending the rules
03:11for every sad story that walks in this door.
03:14But, Lisa, isn't there something to be said for kindness? For community? I mean, what if we were in his
03:21shoes?
03:22Kindness. Kindness doesn't pay the bills, Tammy. It's a tough world out there and it's not our job to fix
03:28it.
03:29Oh, Tammy. I need you to focus on real customers. And you. Sorry, but you need to leave. Now.
03:40I'm so sorry about this, Michael. I really am. If you want, you can still use the restroom. It's just
03:46right around the corner to your left.
03:48Thanks, Tammy. I really appreciate it. You've been very kind.
03:54Oh, God. Unbelievable. And make it quick. Faster.
04:04This is exactly what I was talking about, Tammy. We can't start making exceptions.
04:09It's bad for business. And it's bad for our image. And frankly, it's not fair to our paying customers.
04:17Lisa, what is the harm in showing a little humanity? The world is harsh enough as it is. If we
04:22have a means to help someone in need, shouldn't we?
04:25Isn't that worth more than just profits?
04:27You're not seeing the bigger picture, are you? It's not just about one person. It sets a precedent, Tammy. Next
04:36thing we know, we'll be overrun by homeless people.
04:39I mean, we have to think about the restaurant first.
04:44I couldn't help but overhear. I really didn't mean to cause any of this. I was just leaving.
04:51Why are you still here? See? This is exactly what I mean. You give them an inch, and they take
04:59a whole mile.
05:01Lisa, it's enough. He was just using the bathroom. You're making this way more than it has to be.
05:07Yeah? And what was he doing in the restroom, huh? Or what if he stole something while we weren't looking?
05:14I'm sure he didn't. Why can't we just extend some basic kindness?
05:21This is about principle. About policy. And you, Tammy? You directly disobeyed a direct order from your manager.
05:32That's not something that I'm just going to overlook.
05:35I assure you, I haven't taken anything. I just needed to use the restroom, that's all. There's no need for
05:41anyone to lose their job over this.
05:43Your assurance means very little to me.
05:50Tammy, I'm sorry, but this is the last straw. You've shown that you cannot follow simple instructions, and I have
05:58no choice.
06:00Today is your last day.
06:03You can't be serious. Over this? Lisa, please, let's just talk about it.
06:10No! There is nothing to discuss. You've made your choice. And now, you have to live with it. All of
06:20the consequences of it.
06:21This isn't right. Tammy was just trying to be kind. She shouldn't be punished.
06:27And you shouldn't be here! I've been more than patient with you. But now, I'm going to have to insist
06:35you leave. And I mean leave now. Or I will call security.
06:41I'm so sorry you had to be caught up in this. This really isn't what we're about.
06:47It's not your fault, Tammy. You did what you thought was right. I'm sorry it had to come to this.
06:54Enough talking! This is over!
06:57Tammy, finish the day and then clear out your locker. And you! Get out! Before I call the cops.
07:09I hope you're happy, Lisa. There's right and there's wrong. Today, you chose wrong.
07:19I did what was necessary for this business, including firing you! Now, in time, you'll see that I was right.
07:41What do you think you're doing back here? I thought I made it clear earlier that you are not welcome
07:46in this establishment.
07:48Just because you've changed into a blazer doesn't make you more welcome here.
07:54Good evening, Lisa. I believe there's been a bit of a misunderstanding. You see, I'm not exactly who you think
08:03I am.
08:04Michael? Is that really you? You look completely different. What's going on?
08:16Yes, Tammy, it's me. And you're right, Lisa. I wasn't completely honest about my situation earlier today.
08:25Oh. Well, should I guess? I mean, are you going to tell us you're some kind of secret millionaire or
08:34something?
08:35Please. I'm not in the mood for those kind of stories right now.
08:39I'm not a millionaire, no, but I am the CEO of this restaurant chain. Yeah.
08:46And before you ask for proof, I can tell you about the upcoming promotional event that hasn't even been announced
08:52yet,
08:52the secret ingredient in our special sauce, and oh, yeah, the code to the office safe.
08:59Would you like me to continue?
09:04That could be public knowledge, maybe. I mean, you're going to need to do better than that to prove who
09:09you are.
09:10Would you like me to call the regional manager or perhaps you'd prefer I bring up the quarterly reports,
09:15only accessible to a handful of people?
09:19And you're really the CEO? But why? Why come here like this?
09:27Because once upon a time, I was homeless, and I know what it's like to be on the other side
09:34of that glass door looking in, hungry and ignored.
09:37I built this company with a commitment to treat people with respect, dignity and kindness, no matter what their situation.
09:44And today, I was testing whether or not that commitment was being upheld here.
09:51Gosh, this is, this is unexpected. I mean, I promise, Michael, I was, I was only doing what I thought
10:05was best for this business.
10:07And in doing so, you showed a complete disregard for the core values of this company. Treating people with respect
10:15and kindness is the foundation of our business, not an afterthought.
10:19I absolutely understand. I, I didn't realize I...
10:24It's not about realizing, Lisa. It's about embodying those values. And unfortunately, you've shown that you're not capable of that.
10:35I have no choice but to let you go. This is not just for today's incident, but for failing to
10:42embody the ethos this company stands for.
10:44Let me go? Are you serious? Dead serious.
10:51You can leave now, Lisa. Thank you for your time, but your prejudice, it's not welcome here.
10:58I cannot believe this.
11:09Tammy, your actions today exemplified everything this company stands for. You showed compassion and kindness in the face of adversity.
11:19That's the kind of leadership we need.
11:24How would you feel about taking over as the manager here?
11:28Me? Manager? But, I don't know what to say. Are you sure?
11:38Absolutely. It's people like you who make this company what it is. We'll provide you with all the training and
11:44support you need. What do you say?
11:48Yeah. I mean, yes. Of course. Thank you, Michael. I promise. I won't let you down.
11:57I know you won't, Tammy. Let's make sure this restaurant becomes a place that truly welcomes everyone. A place we
12:05can all be proud of.
12:11All right, Mr. Mandleton, I will put you down for that date. As you know, you are a valued customer
12:16here. Would you like us to put two champagne bottles on ice for you?
12:20Three bottles? Okay, no problem. We'll have that ready for you.
12:24Yeah, three bottles of champagne as long as I get a big fat tip.
12:28Hello, darling. I'd like a table for two, please.
12:32I think you're in the wrong restaurant. The Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is right down the street.
12:37I am aware there's a Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles down the street. But, I'd like to dine here.
12:44Yeah, see, this restaurant is for hip, trendy, American customers. And, you know, you're not really the American type. You
12:53won't really fit in here.
12:54Well, I know all about this restaurant. So, please, can I have a table for two?
13:01Ooh, but see, we're all booked up. You know, there's no tables available for you.
13:06I see a table over there, and over there, either table will be fine.
13:13See, those are reserved, you know, for high-paying customers. We book in advance.
13:19Well, I'm happy to wait. You can put my name down on the list and call me when a table's
13:27available.
13:28Yeah, no, no. We're booked through the end of the year. So, no luck for you.
13:33But, you know, the Waffle House doesn't take reservations, so.
13:36Well, it's Hunter here. I'm having dinner with Hunter tonight.
13:39Oh, you're having dinner with Hunter? Hunter as in who owns this restaurant? As one of the best chefs in
13:46America, Hunter?
13:48Yeah, no, Hunter wouldn't have dinner with, you know, people like you.
13:53You don't know who I am, do you?
13:55I know exactly who you are. You are a foreigner who has no business being here inside this American restaurant,
14:03let alone, you know, this country.
14:05If it were up to me, people like you, you wouldn't even be allowed to come in.
14:08What is your name, young lady?
14:10Oh, I am not telling you my name. But if you don't leave, I will be calling the police and
14:15telling them that there is a woman in a white sheet with green beans around her neck bringing down the
14:21image of the restaurant.
14:22Okay. I will leave. But I will wait outside until Hunter comes.
14:30Okay. You have fun with that. Just don't stand next to the door because we don't want anybody to see
14:37you.
14:46Hey, Jessica. Any chance there's been a woman who's come in yet on shift asking about dinner with me?
14:52Actually, now that you mention it, there was this weird foreign lady who thought she was having dinner with you,
14:58but I knew you didn't associate with those type of people, so I told her to get out.
15:03Weird foreign lady?
15:06Wait a minute. Is she still here?
15:07She's probably outside somewhere.
15:10Oh, my God.
15:17Um, you actually know this woman?
15:20Know her? I should say so. This is my aunt. She actually taught me everything I know in the kitchen.
15:26Your aunt? She does not look like she belongs in your family.
15:30Jessica, it's bad enough that you would act this way towards my aunt, but I cannot believe that you would
15:35have the gall to act this way towards any customer.
15:37Well, Hunter, that is not my fault. You keep a certain look about this restaurant, and foreigners like her don't
15:44really fit that look.
15:46Young lady, you should not speak to your boss this way.
15:50The image that I want at my restaurant is one of love and acceptance, and you don't seem to fit
15:57that image, now do you?
15:59Jessica, I need you to please get your things and leave.
16:01Are you serious?
16:03Yes, dead serious. You're fired, Jessica. You need to get your stuff and go.
16:07You know what? Fine. This job stinks anyway. Good luck.
16:14Wow. Oh, I'm glad she's gone.
16:17I am so, so sorry she treated you like that. I'm going to make sure no one ever treats you
16:21like that in my restaurant ever again.
16:23It's okay, darling.
16:27Shall we eat?
16:28Yes. Yes, I'm starving. And you know, I actually reserved the best seats in the house for us. You're going
16:32to love it.
16:33Oh, I'm so excited. Look what you've done to the place.
16:37I know, it was-
16:40Austin?
16:42Yes, sir.
16:43Would you bring in the next model, please?
16:45Yeah, absolutely.
16:49Hi, how are you?
16:51Hi.
16:52Welcome, welcome.
16:55So, Peter, this is Chanel, our next model. She's shot for Vogue and Fendi, as well as countless other brands.
17:02And, Chanel, this is Peter, our excellent photographer. I'll leave you guys to it. I'll be around if you guys
17:07need anything, just let me know.
17:07Thank you, Austin.
17:09Thanks.
17:10Uh, Peter, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm really excited to be shooting with you today. I've seen some
17:16of your work and it's fantastic.
17:18Yes, yes. Let's, uh, let's get you on set. Uh, if you want to go and sit in this chair
17:23over here.
17:23Okay, great. Um, did you want to take a look at my wardrobe? I've got-
17:27No, no. Let's just get started.
17:30Oh.
17:31Please, right this way.
17:32Okay.
17:39Everything okay?
17:41Yeah, just go ahead and pose.
17:44Anything in particular you want me to do?
17:47Just, uh, put your arms on the side or something.
17:53Wrong. Something different.
18:02No, no, no. Models we usually shoot have internal beauty. It's just not here.
18:09I'm, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
18:12Ma'am, I'm just used to working with professionals and you are just not professional.
18:16I'm sorry that you feel that way. I'm sure if you gave me some sort of direction, I will be
18:24able to do what it is that you want me to do.
18:27The, uh, light is just not hitting your skin properly.
18:31Wait, what does that mean?
18:33To be honest with you, your skin's a little too dark for my liking.
18:36Are you serious?
18:38Serious is a heart attack. So if you wouldn't mind leaving.
18:41This is ridiculous.
18:46Austin?
18:48Sir, is everything okay? What happened? Where's Chanel?
18:52If you ever bring another dark skinned model onto my set, I'll fire you on the spot.
18:56Sir, I don't understand.
18:59My sets require a certain amount of elegance. And African Americans just don't have it.
19:04Okay, sir, that is quite unfair of you to say.
19:07I'm the professional. You're the assistant. So you do as I say.
19:13And I'm the man who owns the magazine that you work for.
19:17Oh, Mr. Franklin, I didn't know you were coming by today.
19:21Well, I came because I wanted to see my favorite model, Chanel.
19:27So you can imagine my surprise when I saw her running out in the hall in tears.
19:31Oh, well, I just didn't think she was ideal for the artistic inspiration.
19:37The artistic inspiration being what? Your racism, maybe?
19:44Mosaic magazine is for women of all shapes, all sizes, and all colors.
19:51And I have never in my life heard a photographer speak to a model that way.
19:56You, my friend, are no longer employed at my magazine, and I will not be paying you for today.
20:05Sir, please. I'm one of the top photographers in the country. You can't do this to me.
20:10Uh, in actual fact, I can. And I will also be speaking to my friends in the industry, and they
20:17won't be hiring you either.
20:19This is outrageous! Your magazine's down the toilet anyway.
20:25Oh, bye.
20:31Oh, Chanel. I am so sorry about all of that.
20:35But, to make it up to you, I put you on the cover of next month's issue.
20:40Wow! Yes! Oh my gosh!
20:44But who's going to be the photographer?
20:46Well, funny you should ask.
20:48Austin, how would you feel about going from the assistant to lead photographer?
20:55I've seen your work, and I think you have a really good eye.
20:58Thank you so much! Yes!
21:04This building has some weird design choices.
21:07All these wide hallways and ramps make it look like a hospital instead of a business, don't you think?
21:11I mean, when clients come here, what do they think?
21:15Uh, good morning. You must be Madison Phillips here for the marketing job interview.
21:19I'm Kyle Martinez from HR.
21:21Yeah, that's me. I have to ask. Do all these weird wheelchair ramps and stuff hurt the company's image with
21:27clients?
21:28It seems like you're wasting a lot of space.
21:31Have you thought about how much money you're losing with all this extra room?
21:34Uh, our building works well for all of our employees.
21:38Um, let me tell you about the interview process.
21:41Uh, so Derek Williams will, uh, be your first interview.
21:46He's our HR manager, and he's, uh, really good at finding the right people for the job.
21:50Derek Williams. Is Derek really qualified to interview people for important jobs?
21:55Does he know enough about high-level positions?
21:57I'm applying for a really demanding job here.
22:00Uh, well, Derek has worked in hiring for eight years, and he has found some great people for tons of
22:07exclusive jobs.
22:07Uh, he's one of the best at what he does.
22:10But does he really understand jobs where you have to deal with clients all the time?
22:15Can he relate to executive jobs that need you to be presenting and interacting constantly?
22:20I need someone who gets what it means to be a leader.
22:22Derek has experience with all kinds of jobs, from entry-level to CEOs.
22:28CEOs, really. Has he actually hired CEOs and VPs?
22:32Because those jobs need a very specific type of person.
22:35Someone who takes charge of a room, you know?
22:37Someone who shows strength and ability all the time.
22:40These wheelchair ramps and stuff seem like too much.
22:43All this extra space and special equipment must waste valuable office space.
22:47Our offices work for all of our team members.
22:50Can I get you a coffee or a water before we start?
22:54I'll take a latte, but not from some break room that's been messed up by all these accommodations.
22:59Are your offices designed for normal business, or do these changes mess with efficiency?
23:04I've seen companies lose their edge because they focus too much on accommodations instead of getting results.
23:09Does the company have a quota for hiring disabled people?
23:12I think merit should be the only thing that matters.
23:15I'm worried about working somewhere where the standards might be different.
23:18In my experience, the most successful companies care about results, not political correctness.
23:24We hire the most qualified people for every job.
23:27Merit is always what matters most.
23:30Good. Because I've seen too many companies lower their standards for diversity.
23:35I hope that's not happening here.
23:36When I'm managing a team, I need to know that everyone can do their job to the highest level without
23:42needing a special treatment or changes to their work.
23:45We hire based on qualifications and merit.
23:49Oh, the conference room is ready for your interview.
23:52I just want to make sure I'm being evaluated fairly by someone who understands what executive jobs really involve.
23:58Are you ready? Let's go.
24:10Good morning, Madison.
24:12I'm Derek William, HR manager. Thank you for coming in today.
24:16Oh, hello there. Can you hear me okay? Do you need help reaching anything or should I move closer so
24:24you can hear me better?
24:26I can hear you perfectly fine. Thanks. Let's just get started. I have your resume here and I'm excited to
24:33learn more about your background.
24:37Will someone else be helping you during this interview? Will my answers be checked by another manager to make sure
24:43they're accurate? I just want to make sure nothing gets lost, if you know what I mean.
24:49I'll be doing the entire interview myself. I've been doing this for eight years and I'm totally qualified to evaluate
24:55candidates. Let's start by you telling me more about your work background.
25:00Before we start, I need to ask about the interview process. Can you take good notes? Can you reach all
25:07your stuff and are you able to properly evaluate qualifications for a job that requires full mobility? These are important
25:15things for executive jobs.
25:16I'm completely capable of doing a thorough interview and evaluation. I've interviewed hundreds of candidates for all kinds of jobs.
25:25Now, can you tell me more about your marketing experience?
25:30I just think someone with your limitations might not understand what executive jobs demand. So these jobs need people who
25:41can handle every part of the job. There's a lot of physical demands, client meetings, travel, presentations to big groups.
25:49I understand executive jobs very well. I actually found great people for lots of senior marketing positions. Let's focus on
25:57your qualifications.
26:00Tell me about a successful marketing campaign you've managed.
26:03Well, I've managed lots of successful campaigns, but marketing needs working with people who can pull their weight and contribute
26:12equally to team efforts. Everyone needs to handle their full responsibilities without creating extra work for others.
26:19Can you give me a specific example of a campaign you led and what happened?
26:24I led a campaign that increased brand awareness a lot, but the key to my success has always been working
26:31with fully capable team members.
26:33I believe in level playing fields where everyone contributes at the same level.
26:38Tell me about a time you worked on a diverse team with different skills and how you handle that.
26:44Different skills are fine, but I believe in equal contribution. Special accommodations can hurt workplace efficiency and create unfair burdens
26:53on other employees.
26:54When team members need special treatment, it affects everybody's ability to do their best work.
27:00I'm curious about your job here. How do you handle tax that need mobility? Do you go to all company
27:10meetings? Can you travel for business or do team building activities that might be challenging for you?
27:15I'm just trying to understand what you really evaluate.
27:19I participate fully in all parts of my job, including travel and meetings. My job involves evaluating candidates based on
27:28their qualifications and fit for the position.
27:31But surely there are things you can't assess. I mean, for jobs that need a lot of client interaction and
27:38physical presence, wouldn't it be better to have someone who understands those demands evaluate candidates?
27:46Kyle, thank goodness you're here. Could you clarify his questions for me? Maybe you should take the main notes to
27:52make sure everything is written down properly.
27:55I want to make sure my qualifications are captured accurately.
27:59Derek is completely capable of handling the interview process. He's our most experienced interviewer.
28:08I'm not questioning your experience. It's just that executive positions need a certain type of evaluation.
28:15Someone who can assess leadership presence, command of a room, the ability to show strength in challenging situations.
28:23Madison, I'd like to understand your approach to the workplace diversity and inclusion.
28:28How would you handle working with a team member who has different backgrounds and different needs?
28:35I think accommodations should not slow down operations.
28:44People need to handle all parts of their job without special arrangements. Does that make sense to you?
28:52Do you need me to help you with those documents? Do you need me to adjust your position at all?
28:58I don't mind helping if you're having trouble reaching anything.
29:02I'm fine. Thank you.
29:05Let's talk about your technical marketing knowledge. How would you approach a digital campaign optimization for a business client?
29:12But do you have enough industry experience to evaluate my answers given your situation?
29:19Have you actually worked in client facing marketing jobs?
29:23Work with marketing professionals at all level. I know current industry practices.
29:28But how would you evaluate my ability to represent the company professionally when you might not understand what clients really
29:35expect?
29:36Good afternoon, Madison. I'm Sarah Paul, the department head. I'll be your direct supervisor if you join our team.
29:42Thank you. I'm so relieved to finally talk with the actual decision maker.
29:46The initial screening was quite unusual and I'm not sure Derek properly explained my qualifications because of his limitations.
29:55I have lots of executive experience that might not have been fully appreciated.
30:00Derek is one of our most thorough and respected interviewers.
30:04He's never missed an important qualifications in any candidate assessment.
30:09Tell me. Tell me about your marketing strategy experience.
30:12But do any current team members have disabilities that might affect team dynamics?
30:17I need to understand what I'm working with. I need to be clear that I won't participate in activities related
30:23to disability accommodations or inclusion initiatives.
30:27Those policies create extra work for managers and take away from core business goals.
30:32Derek, I'll take it from here.
30:38Good luck.
30:50So, how'd I do? Did I get the job?
30:53I think I made it clear that I'm the right person for this position.
30:56Madison, your attitudes toward people who use wheelchairs make you completely unsuitable for any position at our company.
31:03Such discrimination has no place in our workplace.
31:06What? I demand specific reasons for this rejection.
31:11You're discriminating against me because I question an unqualified interviewer.
31:15This is completely unfair and probably illegal.
31:19I'll contact disability rights organizations to report that accommodations are creating unfair hiring advantages.
31:27This is reverse discrimination. You're rejecting qualified candidates to protect someone who shouldn't be evaluating normal applicants.
31:34The decision is based entirely upon your demonstrated prejudice against people with disabilities.
31:40Your inappropriate comments about Derek's competence and your assumption that wheelchair use disqualifies him from professional roles constitutes harassment based
31:51on disability status.
31:52My concerns about him were completely legitimate.
31:56You're putting political correctness over hiring qualified candidates.
31:59People with disabilities shouldn't evaluate normal job applicants because they can't understand what professional jobs really demand.
32:06Madison, your behavior today is deeply inappropriate and discriminatory.
32:11You've made assumptions about my ability based on my wheelchair use despite clear evidence of my qualifications and experience.
32:22I was just being practical. Executive positions need people who can handle every part of the job.
32:29How can someone evaluate leadership abilities when they have obvious limitations themselves?
32:34Madison, I need to tell you that I contacted your current employer to verify your employment information.
32:41You're currently under investigation for creating a hostile work environment for employees with disabilities, especially targeting colleagues who use wheelchairs.
32:52You have no right to contact my employer. That's confidential information.
32:56Your professional reputation regarding disability discrimination is already known throughout the industry networks.
33:03Several companies have quietly shared information about your problematic attitude and you've been in multiple positions with your behavior being
33:11reported likewise.
33:14That's impossible. I'm one of the most qualified marketing executives in this city.
33:19Your qualifications don't matter when your behavior violates employment laws and creates hostile work environments.
33:26Your discriminatory comments during today's interview process constitute interview harassment based on disability status.
33:34This is ridiculous. I'm the most qualified candidate you'll interview for this position.
33:40You're making a huge mistake that will cost this company big time.
33:44Madison, your behavior today showed exactly why you're not suitable for any position here.
33:49You've shown prejudice, discrimination, and a complete lack of professional judgment.
33:53Professional judgment.
33:55I was using professional judgment by questioning whether someone with obvious limitations could properly evaluate executive candidates.
34:03Your assumption that wheelchair use equals professional incompetence led to your downfall.
34:10Your inability to recognize Derek's obvious qualifications and treat him with basic respect makes you unemployable.
34:18You'll regret this.
34:24It's crucial that we document everything to protect our employees from discriminatory treatment.
34:30Yeah, her behavior was textbook harassment based on disability status.
34:34I'm glad that's over.
34:35It's unfortunate when prejudice blinds people obvious qualifications and basic human decency.
34:42Madison's career is effectively finished.
34:45Word travels fast in our industry, especially about behavior like that.
34:49Her discrimination against wheelchair users became the very thing that destroyed her professional prospects.
34:56We'll continue maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone can contribute regardless of mobility differences.
35:03That's what makes us stronger as a team.
35:08So then we got to the summit and it was just completely covered in clouds.
35:12We couldn't see anything.
35:14After all that work.
35:15I know.
35:16Oh my God.
35:17What can you do?
35:22That's wild.
35:24Oh.
35:26Look at that guy.
35:27He looks like he might tip well tonight.
35:29Definitely looks the part.
35:31Woof.
35:31All right.
35:32Let's hope he's a good player.
35:36Hello, sir.
35:37Welcome to Sally's Diner.
35:38Can I start you off with something to drink?
35:40We have a fantastic selection of wines.
35:43Good evening.
35:44I, um, I will have a glass of your finest red, please.
35:47And, uh, and maybe some, um, sparkling water to start.
35:51Thanks.
35:51Excellent choice.
35:52I'll be right back with your drinks.
35:55What can I get you?
35:56Uh, hey there.
35:58Just a cup of coffee, please.
36:00Sure.
36:01Anything else?
36:02Uh, nah.
36:03That's all for now.
36:04All right.
36:05I'll be back with your coffee.
36:17Here you go, sir.
36:19Your wine and sparkling water.
36:21Have you had a chance to look over the menu yet?
36:23Do you know what you'd like to order?
36:24Um, not yet, but I, I am sure that everything here is great.
36:29Uh, what would you recommend?
36:30Well, our steak salad is really popular.
36:33Cooked to perfection and served with a side of asparagus.
36:36It's one of my personal favorites.
36:38You know what?
36:38That sounds delicious.
36:40I'll go with the steak salad, um, medium rare, but, um, skip the asparagus.
36:46Excellent choice.
36:47That'll be right up.
36:58Here's your coffee.
36:59Decided on anything else yet?
37:01I will just have the soup of the day, please.
37:05Cool.
37:06Soup of the day it is.
37:09Coming up.
37:10Is there anything else I can get for you while you wait for your steak?
37:13Uh, no, no, no.
37:13I'm perfect.
37:15My pleasure.
37:16I hope you're enjoying your wine.
37:17Oh, I am.
37:18Thank you so much.
37:19It's a wonderful place.
37:20I really appreciate the recommendation.
37:22Of course.
37:23It's always a pleasure to serve someone who appreciates the finer things.
37:27Here's your soup.
37:29Enjoy.
37:30Fantastic.
37:33Yeah.
37:34Whatever.
37:34Do you need anything else?
37:36Um, yeah, a water would be great.
37:40Sure.
37:40All right, one water coming up.
37:42And here's your steak salad, medium rare, just as you ordered.
37:47Uh, that looks fantastic.
37:51Thank you so very much.
37:53My pleasure.
37:54If you need anything else, just let me know.
37:57Here's your water, all done.
38:00Ah, fantastic.
38:01Oh, thank you.
38:03Um, the soup.
38:05The soup?
38:06Very good.
38:07Compliments to the chef.
38:09Awesome.
38:10Guessing no dessert, right?
38:16How was your meal, sir?
38:18That was an excellent meal.
38:20I have not enjoyed a salad like that in a long time.
38:24I'm so glad to hear that.
38:26Would you like anything else?
38:28Dessert, perhaps?
38:29We have a fantastic chocolate lava cake.
38:31Uh, tempting, but I think, I think I'm full.
38:36I think I'll just, uh, take the check, please.
38:38Of course.
38:39I actually have that right here for you.
38:41Take your time, though.
38:42Okay, great.
38:43Thank you very much.
38:48Oh, sir, wait.
38:51Uh, do you, do you need change?
38:53This was just too much money.
38:55That was fine.
38:56I know how tough this job can be.
38:59Considered as it.
39:01But, why?
39:03I didn't treat you that well.
39:05Eh, I can afford to be generous.
39:08Not everyone who looks simple is poor.
39:11Have a good night.
39:12But, sir, this is a thousand dollars.
39:24Thank you for dining with us, sir.
39:27I hope you have a wonderful evening.
39:28Again, it was such a pleasant meal.
39:31Have a good night.
39:33Yep.
39:38Um, sir, excuse me?
39:41Yeah?
39:42I couldn't help but notice that you didn't leave a tip.
39:46Sorry about that.
39:47Um, I just, um, you know, I don't have much cash left on me.
39:51Oh.
39:52I see.
39:53Look, I understand that you worked really hard tonight.
39:56But, you know, I'm just on a tight budget.
39:58Times are tough.
40:00I understand.
40:01It's just, I thought...
40:04Well, you know, sometimes, appearances can be deceiving.
40:09Yeah.
40:10I'm starting to think that.
40:12Uh, well...
40:14Thanks so much.
40:14Haha.
40:30Rough night?
40:30You could say that.
40:32You could say that.
40:33I guess I misjudged some people.
40:35Happens to the best of us.
40:36What's eating at you?
40:38That guy who left Jack...
40:40Dude, I treated him like he didn't matter because he looked...
40:44Poor.
40:45And he ended up leaving a huge tip.
40:48Wow.
40:49And how about the other guy you were talking about earlier?
40:52No tip.
40:53Said he didn't have any cash left.
40:57People surprised you, don't they?
40:59Yeah.
41:00I guess I was too focused on the wrong things.
41:03Hey, I mean, it's easy to get caught up in appearances, but everyone has a story, Lucy.
41:08Don't judge a book by its cover.
41:10You're right.
41:11I need to remember that.
41:13You'll get there.
41:14It just takes time and a few good lessons.
41:16Thanks.
41:30And...
41:31Action.
41:33Here you go, sir.
41:35Your wine and your water.
41:37Have you had a chance to decide what you'd like to eat yet?
41:41Uh, no, because I don't have a f***ing menu.
41:43Ha, ha, ha.
41:46What should we do?
41:48Should we just cut that?
41:49No, there's, um, there's time that passes in between this.
41:52Right.
41:52So she could've already brought it.
41:53Oh, I'm so sorry.
41:54F***ing.
41:58F***ing.
41:59F***ing.
41:59F***ing.
42:00F***ing.
42:00You look all slick.
42:01Yeah, you're ready.
42:03Alright.
42:03F***ing.
42:04F***ing.
42:09F***ing.
42:10You could say that.
42:12I was not looking at that.
42:13That was my bad.
42:13No worries.
42:14That's hard.
42:15That's all you got.
42:16Damn, dude.
42:18F***ing.
42:19F***ing.
42:19What the f***.
42:20I've only been doing this for a whole-ass year.
42:22Alright.
42:23And action.
42:28Oh my God, the autofocus freaked out.
42:30Sorry.
42:30Okay.
42:31Hold on.
42:32We'll get this soon.
