00:00I love the parrandas that we do in Puerto Rico, especially in El Campo, you know, where you get to
00:05stop by and sing, you know, songs to your neighbor and eat food.
00:11And so there's a lot of cultural things that I try to keep with me wherever I'm at, whether it's
00:15Atlanta, L.A., OVU or New York.
00:17What we were able to do last season, which was really incredible, which was like we brought Will to the
00:22island with his uncle Antonio.
00:24And we found a way to like connect it to him, to himself, his childhood, his mom.
00:29So it was really rooted in sort of self-discovery, which for someone who doesn't know anything about themselves because
00:35they were an orphan, it was deep.
00:36And for me, it was an incredible moment where we got to bring this whole production and hire local crew
00:43on the island and explore it through this character's point of view, which, you know, he was blown away.
00:49And he's speaking Spanish now because of that, because he's tapping into himself.
00:54And so it was like a coming of age experience for Will.
00:57And for me, it was a it was a big point of pride to be able to go shoot on
01:00the island.
01:00There's a lot of good stuff coming up.
01:02I was very excited for the premiere episode.
01:04It was an episode I was able to direct, which is a big deal for me.
01:08It was really exciting.
01:08So that was fun.
01:09And for people to see Will looking different, likes to have control over everything.
01:14I like my things in order, but I won't freak out the way he does if something's not.
01:18But I feel like that's an interesting character trait of how he tries to maintain order and control because he's
01:25someone that did not have a lot of that growing up.
01:27Very interesting to me, like why people are the way they are and what makes them.
01:31And so with somebody like Will, who had such a tough childhood, foster care, he's dyslexic.
01:36It's always interesting, you know, why he puts the suit, why he looks so.
01:40And it's perception.
01:41And he knows he's trying to sort of create a certain perception because he's very insecure at the end of
01:46the day.
01:47There's things about him that he's really vulnerable about.
01:49And so it's fun when we get to show all of that and get under the hood of Will and
01:54see him and some of the trauma he's been through.
01:57But also the sense of humor and the heart.
01:59And so it's a fun character as an actor.
02:03You get excited when you get these kind of roles.
02:05Yeah, I mean, there's some physical stuff that's nice to have if you have an athletic background.
02:10I mean, if anything, I think even more than that, it's kind of the discipline, you know, of, you know,
02:16having to really work hard to get what you want.
02:19That's something that comes from sports, knowing how to take losses.
02:22That's something that because you can't be an actor not used to being rejected.
02:25And that's going to happen.
02:27And so, you know, those that discipline for sure is something that I know comes from my sports background.
02:34I'm having to really, you know, get up early and work hard to get what I want.
