00:00A lot of the video game feel is so dictated by the games, you know, it's like you have this
00:04big wide-angle lens that's like on the shoulder of your avatar and, you know, so you're moving through.
00:10So what we did was just kind of stick to that visual language and work Austin and the camera operator
00:17had to kind of choreograph, you know, the timing, like, okay, I'm going to take three steps, I'm going to
00:22look left, so you're going to swing around, and then I'm going to look up, and you're going to drop
00:25down, and then we'll look over there.
00:26So it was kind of like a dance that we had to kind of get them on the same page,
00:32and that was a really rewarding thing because I think it looks really unique.
00:36I haven't seen a lot of movies that use that video game visual language as much as this movie does,
00:41and I think that the result is that it's incredibly immersive.
00:45You know, games have a secret weapon, you know, where, like, you're controlling the camera, and so this movie replicates
00:51that.
00:52I think if you're a fan of the game series, you're going to feel seen.
00:55You're going to see all sorts of, not just Easter eggs, but mechanics and story elements and all of these
01:00things are in this movie that are really directly for and from the games.
01:06However, if you've never played a Resident Evil game or a video game, you don't know anything about Resident Evil,
01:12it's a very simple story.
01:13You are going to be able to follow this without missing a beat.
01:17There might be a couple of little visual Easter eggs that might go over your head, but you won't even
01:21know it, and so it doesn't matter if you're a rabid fan or if you've never heard of it.
01:26Like, you'll be able to dig the movie.
