03:26but the latest on the high drama that's taken place in rachi in jarkhand right to the day after
03:31protesters
03:34wanting examinations in the state to be cancelled were lati charged outside the assembly the leader
03:40of the student protest devendranath matho has been hospitalized in rachi mr matho was hospitalized
03:47after his health worsened remember he has been on a hunger strike for the last nine days and has lost
03:53over 10 kgs while on the hunger strike so he's been rushed off to the hospital even as the protesters
04:00who are trying to enter the assembly premises as part of their chalo sunset
04:06agitation have found themselves now being lati charged by the police there i want to go straight
04:15across to ashutosh pishra who's been tracking that ashutosh we see this drama unfolding through the evening
04:21first of all am i right to say that my mr bar that devendra bahato has been taken away to
04:28the hospital
04:29and the protesters are being slowly driven away from the assembly premises
04:35yes he has been taken to the hospital
04:42uh yes 90 of them have evacuated already and rajdeep is a very ironic to see till 6 pm
04:48the same police that was maintaining uh high restraint look at these students they all are
04:53injured eventually right after dark when 90 of the students started withdrawing they all have received
04:59injury now they're helping with the ointment look at this this is the swelling these are kind of
05:04injuries one student has been taken to the hospital matho who was already ill since was sitting for a very
05:09long and they are using the spray to all the protesters all of them who started protesting allow me to
05:15go to
05:15that side these protesters who were sitting on and the moment there was dark the police started asking
05:21them to evacuate and then all of sudden they have been a literally brutal lathe charge they all are
05:27injured have received injury many of these protesters i have seen literally crying with the injury marks
05:31jee batai kuch baat karna chata hoon mera naam vishal kumar hai mein ek sitchhak hoon
05:36aam waha pe tha muja lathe abhi laghi is bachi ko bachane ke liye sir mein sari bata
05:40aam wishat wishat wishat wishat se rakta hoon kam sambdo bain haam log peacefully protest ko
05:45kar rhea thay peacefully haam log johai vidhan saba ke baahar bachay thay kuch bacho ka samul
05:50lagwag 1000 kis sankhya me vidhan saba parisat kitne baje laati charge hoa sari abhi
05:54se lagwag 7 baje raat 7 baje raat 7 baje jaini jaisen jaisen andhira
06:11there's a swelling on the legs these students were literally locked since there was a dark
06:17morning and then on the other side look at this there are again another set of the students they're
06:21also helping each other with the ointment number of students so those who are literally stuck and
06:26they wanted to evacuate when the police was trying to use force number of the students have been
06:31injured meheto since was ill he was fasting he has been taken to hospital another student from the
06:36reformed munch who was also injured has been taken to the hospital and that raising severe
06:40question that the police who claims to be maintaining restraint all of sudden why it
06:44turns so violent when these students were gradually evacuating a few were adamant since the talks were
06:50already on there could have been a way to sort it out look at these all are injured and sitting
06:54on
06:54the students if i turn the camera on the other side rajdeep the students came back the agitation
06:59continues until unless the you know the jss and cjl uh examination is withdrawn the results
07:04has been drawn we see the students are continuing this there's a mark on the leg that's a mark on
07:30the
07:32we have seen the restraint till six and all of a sudden when there was sunset rajdeep this was brutal
07:38attack on the students they were evacuating of course they were asking them to evacuate and then
07:43all of a sudden the police literally you know hear out the students and then look at this what has
07:47happened they all are injured helping out each other with ointments and medicines okay i'll i'll come
07:53back to ashitosh later as you can see uh those are the images coming from jarkhand this has been a
07:58day
07:58where the student protest has dominated the headlines it's erupted into a full-blown showdown on the
08:03streets of rachi with protesters breaching barricades facing lati charge water cannons and tear gas with
08:10recruitment exam irregularities at the heart of the agitation students asking for at least 13 exams
08:17to be cancelled the standoff has now escalated into a political battle against the jmm congress
08:23government in jarkhand with the bjp fully supporting the protesters take a look at this report
08:34jarkhand students are on a warpath against the hemansurian government over irregularities in recruitment
08:40exams
08:42thousands came out on the streets on monday in response to the call to get out the vidansawa and rachi
08:50multiple barricades were put up to stop them from reaching the assembly
08:56but one by one the barricades fell
09:01the police responded first with a lati charge
09:06then with water cannons and finally tear gas
09:11the students however reached the assembly and stood outside the gates
09:15the
09:39who has been on a hunger strike joined the protest marching holding a photograph of Shibu Sorin.
10:06While the Sorin government has agreed to cancel three Jharkand Public Service Commission and Jharkand Staff Selection Commission exams,
10:12the students are insisting on cancelling the Jharkand Staff Selection Commission's combined graduate level exam as well.
10:21They are also demanding a probe by the CBI and the ED.
10:24The CID has arrested former chairperson on the Jharkand Public Service Commission, El Kiyang Day.
10:43Meanwhile, the BGP hit out at Rahul Gandhi, accusing the Congress leader of selective outrage.
11:04Hours later, in a social media post, Rahul backed us protesting students.
11:09We condemn any violence against peacefully protesting students.
11:13It does not matter where it is happening. We condemn it. We are against it.
11:17We do not recommend it. We do not support it.
11:22The streets remain tense, the students remain defiant, and the political battle is only intensifying.
11:28For now, the standoff over the students' demands remains unresolved.
11:33With Ashutosh Mishra, Satyajit Kumar and Shashi Bhushan in Rajji Bureau Report, India Today.
11:42Okay, I want to go to two students who have been part of their protests in different ways.
11:47Deepak Prajapati is joining me.
11:49He has done these exams and therefore has someone who's been directly impacted by the irregularities in those exams.
11:56Also joining us, Adarsh Gupta, he's a singer and influencer whose videos are going viral.
12:03And Raj Kashyap, who's preparing for the exams, but has been at the protest site for the last 17 days.
12:12Deepak, first of all, what you have seen today.
12:16Government is saying 98% demands have been met.
12:20They have cancelled three of the four main exams.
12:23The fourth exam, they say they cannot cancel because it was done under court monitoring and people have already been
12:29recruited.
12:30Do you agree that 98% of your demands have been met?
12:35And now, it's not necessary for the government to say it.
12:40What do you say?
13:10What do you say?
13:21What do you say?
13:55Thank you very much.
14:14Thank you very much.
22:11So who then takes political accountability in such cases,
22:15be it Jarkhand or Jantar Mantar?
22:17Are our netas guilty of selective outrage?
22:20Where they stand depends on where they sit.
22:23Who will douse this rising youth anger amidst exam irregularities?
22:28Joining me now, Salman Sos, National Spokesperson Congress
22:32and Pratul Shadyo, Chief Spokesperson Jarkhand of the BJP.
22:37To you, Salman Sos, Rahul Gandhi says today, he says no crackdown.
22:42There should be no crackdown on the student protesters in Jarkhand.
22:46Now you have a government there.
22:47He could have picked up the phone, told Hemant Soren that allow the students to continue their peaceful protest.
22:54Because otherwise, it appears that where he stands depends on where he sits.
22:59It's one thing to say I condemn the violence,
23:01but it's another to actually walk the talk and ensure that the Hemant Soren government
23:06has a meaningful dialogue with the peaceful protesters, not Lathi charges them.
23:15You're on mute.
23:16You're on mute, sir.
23:19Rahul Gandhi, because of some cracking sound, I couldn't hear you completely,
23:21but I guess what you're asking is whether we are being selective,
23:26given that in Jarkhand there was violence today and there was police action there.
23:30But you see, Rajdeep, what I want the people of the country to first understand
23:36is that this is not a BJP versus Congress or opposition versus ruling party issue.
23:41This is an issue that affects young people in Jarkhand and around the country,
23:47whether it is through examinations, whether it is through recruitment,
23:51whether it is through unemployment, high unemployment.
23:54You know that young people's unemployment is triple the average unemployment in this country.
24:00Urban India's young people, their unemployment rate is five times the average unemployment in this country.
24:08Now, about the outrage part and being selective, who has done that?
24:14You have to really ask yourself.
24:16Today, in a press conference, when this question was posed to Rahul Gandhi,
24:21his answer was unequivocal.
24:24He basically said, whether in Jarkhand or anywhere else,
24:28our young people have a right to protest peacefully,
24:31the Congress Party stands with them.
24:33We don't say that they are protesting in Jarkhand.
24:35No, what do you mean by stand with them?
24:36No, no, what do you mean by stand with them?
24:38Pick up a phone and speak to Hemant Soren and say,
24:41Hemant Soren, I want this resolved in 48 hours.
24:43You're an ally of that government.
24:46Now, Rajdeep, I'm really sorry.
24:49I did not hear exactly what you asked,
24:51but I'm assuming you're saying that condemnation is not enough.
24:57Let me just, I don't know, maybe that's what you were saying,
24:59but let me just say this.
25:01The country should see that when this crisis started,
25:05well, this crisis has started for a long time.
25:07On July 20th, when these unfortunate events happened,
25:11an AK-47 was fired through so many reports are there.
25:17They had lattes with nails, they had pellet guns.
25:20That is what happened on July 20th.
25:22Since that time, until now, the prime minister and the home minister of this country
25:25are not answering anything to the people of this country,
25:29to the young people of this country.
25:30That is what we've been asking for.
25:32The home minister does not even come to parliament.
25:35And now he wants to come to parliament and impose a condition.
25:38He will say,
25:39my condition before coming to parliament is this.
25:43Mr. Home Minister,
25:45coming to parliament is your duty.
25:47You cannot impose conditions.
25:49You cannot impose conditions about how,
25:51when you will participate in a debate.
25:53You have to answer the people of the country.
25:56They're looking,
25:57they're trying to understand,
25:58how did anybody fire pellet guns in Delhi?
26:01How?
26:02Five, five...
26:02I will ask these questions.
26:04Sir, Mr. Sos,
26:05I will ask the BJP the question on Amit Shah.
26:08The simple fact is,
26:09you have been in power with the Jarkhand Mukti Morcha
26:11for the last seven years.
26:13During this period,
26:14a series of exams have seen irregularities.
26:17That's very clear.
26:18Now, either you walk the talk
26:20and find a model
26:21by which these exam irregularities
26:23don't happen in states
26:24where you're sharing power.
26:26Then you have the moral right to speak out.
26:28No, no, we have...
26:29No, no.
26:29But, Rajdeep,
26:30if there is any party,
26:32let me be very clear,
26:33if there is any party in India right now
26:35that everybody understands,
26:37the leadership stands with everybody,
26:40irrespective of whether our allies' government
26:43is in power somewhere,
26:45or the BJP,
26:46or our own government.
26:47By the way,
26:48you talk about Jarkhand,
26:51of course,
26:52and I don't want to make this political, Rajdeep,
26:54but your own organization,
26:55India Today,
26:57did an assessment
26:58and found that
26:59from 2019 to 2024,
27:02there were 65 recruitment
27:04and, you know,
27:05these examination paper leaks.
27:08If you look at those numbers,
27:10most of them are from places like
27:11UP,
27:12Bihar,
27:13Rajasthan,
27:14you know,
27:14Madhya Pradesh.
27:15Have you forgotten, Rajdeep,
27:17that Vyapam scam,
27:18which started this whole thing in some ways,
27:20where so many people died,
27:22that was in Madhya Pradesh,
27:23and these guys were not held accountable.
27:25We are only saying
27:27we need to hold people accountable,
27:29whether they are in any place,
27:30because our young people...
27:31Yeah, so I want to see,
27:32I want to see,
27:33I want to see who you hold accountable in Jarkhand.
27:35I'll come to you in a moment to,
27:37again,
27:38but Pratul Shah Deo,
27:39you see,
27:40the fact is
27:41that the BJP
27:43apparently is now
27:44stoking the protests in Jarkhand.
27:45Aap aag laga rahe hain
27:47because you want to embarrass
27:48the government there.
27:50None of you,
27:51all these exam irregularities
27:52have taken place
27:53when you have also been
27:54in Jarkhand in power,
27:55and Salman Sos is right.
27:59There have been,
27:59in majority of the cases,
28:01where there have been exam leaks
28:02in the last decade,
28:03there are BJP-ruled states.
28:04None of you have the moral authority
28:06to speak on this subject,
28:07because you have let down
28:09the students of the country.
28:12Good evening, Rajdeep,
28:13and I just wish and hope
28:15the evening was equally good
28:16for those students
28:17who were naughty-charged
28:19and tear-gassed
28:20on the streets of Rachi today.
28:22And I was listening
28:23to the monologue
28:23of the Congress spokesperson,
28:24so I just request you
28:26to give me a few minutes
28:27to respond.
28:28Today also,
28:28incidentally,
28:29happens to be the birthday
28:30of the Honourable
28:31Chief Minister of Jarkhand,
28:32and what a return gift
28:34he gave to the youngsters
28:35and the students
28:36who voted him
28:36for the power
28:37to the power
28:38for the second consecutive time.
28:40See,
28:40when the students
28:40come to the streets
28:41demanding answers
28:43the government
28:43should come out
28:44with answers,
28:46not Lathis.
28:47And what actually happened?
28:48Tear gas cannot
28:49erase the question,
28:50water cannot
28:51wash away accountability,
28:53and Lathis cannot
28:54suppress the truth.
28:55This is what exactly
28:56happened on the streets
28:57of Rachi today,
28:58but two lakh students
29:00had laid siege
29:01on the Vidhan Sabha,
29:02just demanding
29:03that answers
29:04to the question
29:05which they have been
29:06raising for a long time.
29:07See,
29:07if you understand
29:08what has actually happened
29:09in Sharkhand Rajdeep,
29:11the entire JPSC,
29:13the public service,
29:14main civil services exams,
29:16has multi-state links.
29:18So,
29:18CBI is the agency
29:19of choice.
29:19You should give
29:20permission to CBI
29:21and let the ED
29:22investigate too,
29:23because there have been
29:24a huge money trail
29:25linked to West Bengal accounts.
29:27But no,
29:28the CID has been doing,
29:29the state CID
29:30has been doing
29:30a botched up investigation.
29:32And just when
29:32the student protest
29:33was announced,
29:35just day before yesterday,
29:36all the three members
29:37of the JPSC
29:38had to resign.
29:39And let me list out
29:40who were those three members.
29:41One was the wife
29:42of the Jharkhand Mukti Morchai
29:43spokesperson.
29:44Another was a former
29:46spokesperson of the Congress
29:47who was a member
29:48of the JPSC.
29:49And the third
29:50was a close relative
29:50of the Jharkhand
29:52Chief Minister
29:52Hemant Soren.
29:53So,
29:53you understand
29:54what kind of
29:54politics are there
29:56in the Jharkhand
29:56Public Service Commission.
29:57So,
29:58how do you get
29:58students to get justice?
30:00No,
30:01you are right.
30:02No,
30:02you are absolutely right
30:03in highlighting
30:04what's gone in Jharkhand.
30:05You have every right
30:06to do so.
30:07Let me ask you this.
30:08Let me...
30:09No, no,
30:09one minute.
30:10Your government
30:10is running away
30:11from what happened
30:12on July 20th.
30:13Today,
30:13J.P. Nanda again
30:14says no gun
30:15was fired
30:15on July 20th.
30:17I had boys
30:18with pellet gun injuries
30:19in my studio.
30:20Which world
30:21is J.P. Nanda Ji
30:22living in
30:22that he said
30:23no gun was fired?
30:24You must also answer.
30:25Just as I will
30:26hold the Congress
30:27accountable.
30:28This is not about...
30:29This is about
30:30all of you
30:30letting down
30:31the students.
30:33You all have all
30:33failed in every state.
30:35Let's be very honest.
30:36Why does J.P.
30:37Nanda say
30:39no gun was fired?
30:41Are you telling me
30:41those pellet gun injuries
30:42have been faked?
30:43Let me respond.
30:44Rajdeep,
30:45let me respond.
30:46See,
30:46before answering
30:47your question,
30:47let me just tell you
30:48the mask of the Congress
30:49has fallen off.
30:50Now,
30:51in Lok Sabhat,
30:51they are demanding
30:52that the Home Minister
30:53should come out
30:54and give a detailed
30:55reply to what actually
30:56happened on the streets
30:57of Delhi.
30:57Well,
30:59you know,
30:59the kiosk had broken.
31:00And now,
31:02by that same logic,
31:03Congress is shying away
31:04from asking the
31:05Home Minister of Jharkhand
31:06to come and explain
31:07in Vidhan Sabha
31:08of Jharkhand
31:08what has happened,
31:09who incidentally
31:10happens to be
31:10the Chief Minister.
31:11The Congress
31:12had laid siege
31:13on the Prime Minister's
31:14House,
31:14throwing all protocols,
31:16all security norms
31:17to the winds.
31:18And by that logic,
31:19they were demanding
31:20the resignation
31:21of Dharmendra Pradhan,
31:22the Education Minister.
31:23See,
31:24he had the moral...
31:25increased the moral value
31:26to come out
31:27and decide
31:27what about
31:28the education
31:28of Minister of Jharkhand,
31:30who is also
31:30the Chief Minister
31:31of Jharkhand.
31:32When will Congress,
31:33you know,
31:34shed its two-faced
31:36look and approach
31:36and then will it demand
31:38the education
31:39of the education
31:40of Jharkhand?
31:41Yes, sir,
31:41you have every right
31:43to put the ball
31:43in the Congress's court
31:44on a day like today,
31:45but I will ask you this.
31:46For 15 days,
31:47the Home Minister
31:47of the country
31:48has been coming
31:48to Parliament,
31:49cannot go into
31:50the Lok Sabha
31:51or Rajya Sabha
31:51and give a statement.
31:52He's the Home Minister,
31:54all-powerful,
31:55number two man
31:56in the country.
31:57Why can he not go
31:58and make a statement?
31:59What is he running away from?
32:01No, see,
32:01he's not running away
32:02from anything.
32:03He said he's ready
32:04to face the House,
32:05but the Congress
32:06is hell-bent on,
32:07you know,
32:08setting its own narrative,
32:09setting its own agenda.
32:10He's ready to respond.
32:11We have always been
32:12ready for a debate.
32:13It's the Congress
32:14which shies away
32:15from debates
32:15on the real issue.
32:16And what did Rahul Gandhi do?
32:19No, no, no,
32:19but your Home Minister
32:20has to come to Parliament.
32:21No, no,
32:22Home Minister
32:22has to come
32:23and make a statement.
32:24For 15 days,
32:25he has not come
32:25and made a statement.
32:26Where is Amit Shah?
32:27Give me,
32:28Rajdeep,
32:29give me 10 seconds
32:30to respond to that.
32:31And before that,
32:31let me point out,
32:32when Rahul Gandhi
32:33was asked
32:34about what happened
32:35in Jharkhand,
32:36he just came out
32:37with a one-line sentence.
32:38I condemned
32:39whatever happened
32:40in Jharkhand.
32:41It should not happen.
32:41And then he posts on X
32:43and says the same thing,
32:44repeats the same thing.
32:45See, the students
32:46in Jharkhand
32:46are not asking
32:47for your virtual presence,
32:48Mr. Gandhi.
32:49They wanted to come
32:50and do the agitation
32:51along with them.
32:52But that's not
32:53actually happening.
32:54That's the two-faced
32:55of Congress
32:55which stands exposed.
32:56And as far as
32:57our Honourable
32:57Home Minister
32:58is concerned,
32:59he's ready for a debate,
33:00a healthy debate.
33:01After 15 days,
33:03after 15 days,
33:05after 15 days,
33:06Amit Shahjee,
33:07okay, okay.
33:08But, you know,
33:08Salman says,
33:09dood ka dood,
33:10paani ka paani.
33:11There is a point
33:11in what Mr. Deo says.
33:13If Rahul Gandhi
33:14feels so strongly
33:16about what's happening
33:17to students,
33:18either he goes
33:19to Jharkhand
33:20and joins hands
33:21with the protesters
33:22or at the very least
33:24he ensures
33:25that Hemant Sorain's
33:27government
33:27takes full accountability.
33:29Now suddenly
33:30you are arresting people
33:31in charge
33:32of this public
33:33service commission.
33:34That means
33:34there is corruption
33:35and you don't want
33:36to face a CBI inquiry
33:37because then
33:38more corruption
33:39will come out
33:40in Jharkhand.
33:40When you are part
33:41of the government,
33:42either you leave
33:42the government
33:43then.
33:45Incidentally,
33:46I'll start.
33:47The chairman
33:47of public...
33:48No, no, no.
33:49Let him finish.
33:49I did not interrupt
33:51anybody.
33:51No, no, no.
33:52Mr. Deo,
33:53let him finish.
33:53For a long time.
33:55Let him finish.
33:55Yes.
33:56I will start
33:57with my BJP friend's
33:59first point
33:59because I think
34:00he was absolutely correct.
34:01There should be
34:02accountability.
34:03It should be in Jharkhand.
34:04But you know what
34:04my BJP friend
34:06will not say,
34:08did not say,
34:09is that it should have
34:10started with Mr. Amit Shah
34:12from the beginning.
34:13No, no, Mr. Deo,
34:14no.
34:14You can't...
34:15No, no.
34:15Now, please don't interrupt me.
34:16I did not interrupt you.
34:18Mr. Amit Shah,
34:19who's our home minister,
34:20must think that
34:21he's the minister
34:22of his home
34:23because he's clearly
34:24been sitting home
34:25and not in parliament.
34:26He's not been
34:27attending the Lok Sabha.
34:28He's not been
34:28attending the Rajya Sabha.
34:30He's not given any answer.
34:32What stops Rahul Gandhi,
34:35I repeat,
34:36picking up a phone
34:36to him and Sorain
34:37and saying,
34:38I want to see
34:39resignations and accountability.
34:41Rajdeep,
34:42I think the entire
34:43country knows.
34:45The entire country knows.
34:47Please, my friend
34:47from the BJP,
34:48let me speak.
34:49I did not interrupt you
34:50for a single minute,
34:51single second.
34:51My dear friend
34:52from Congress,
34:53just...
34:53Put your voice down.
34:57Why would you interrupt?
34:59So, my point,
35:00Rajdeep,
35:01is the entire
35:02country knows
35:03and you know,
35:04all of media knows,
35:06all of India knows
35:07that if there is
35:08one leader
35:08who has stood
35:10by students
35:11across the country,
35:13whether they're
35:14in Jarkhand,
35:15whether they were
35:16in Delhi,
35:17whether they were
35:17in Bihar
35:18where an AK-47
35:19was fired.
35:21So, he should go
35:21and do
35:21Chhatro Ki Goonj
35:22in Rajya.
35:23The entire country knows.
35:23Why doesn't Rahul Gandhi
35:24go and do
35:25Chhatro Ki Goonj
35:26in Jarkhand?
35:28Rahul Gandhi
35:28has been going
35:29across the country
35:30for...
35:30Go to Jarkhand.
35:31I don't know
35:31what the schedule is.
35:32Go to Jarkhand.
35:34I don't know
35:35what the schedule is,
35:36but he's been
35:37going around the country
35:37and I'm sure
35:38he'll go there too.
35:39Why wouldn't he?
35:39Okay.
35:40Because Jarkhand is...
35:41Because it's his government there.
35:44Let me finish.
35:45Let me finish.
35:46The students of Jarkhand
35:47and young people of Jarkhand
35:49are as dear to us
35:50as any other young people
35:52from India.
35:52Meanwhile,
35:53the BJP,
35:54the BJP
35:55has shown everybody
35:56that they did not care
35:58for the people,
35:59young people
35:59who are protesting
36:00against the...
36:02against what happened
36:03on July 20th.
36:04They are very selective
36:06in who they care for.
36:07Rajdeep,
36:07can I have 10 seconds,
36:08please?
36:08I say again
36:09that this is not
36:11a BJP Congress issue
36:12and I want to tell
36:13my friends from the BJP,
36:14this is not an issue
36:15between you and me.
36:16This is an issue
36:17that threatens
36:18the future
36:18of the young people
36:19of this country.
36:20It threatens
36:20the future of India.
36:22We should come together
36:23for this.
36:24I have heard you.
36:2410 seconds if you're allowed.
36:25Yeah, yeah.
36:26Please go ahead.
36:27Please go ahead.
36:28Please, Mr. Diogh,
36:29complete.
36:30See,
36:31if lying through teeth
36:32had a better example,
36:33my learned friend
36:34from Congress
36:35just showed
36:36what it could be.
36:37He said AK-47 was fired.
36:38You understand
36:39when a burst
36:40from an assault rifle
36:41is fired,
36:42there will be
36:42many casualties.
36:43So never an AK-47
36:44was fired.
36:45Now coming back
36:46to Rahul Gandhi,
36:46see,
36:47he goes to Prayagraj
36:48and does a goonj,
36:49but he doesn't listen
36:50to the goonj
36:51of the students
36:52of Jharkhand
36:52and Prayagraj
36:53just happens to be
36:54400 kilometers
36:55from Jharkhand.
36:56So why this
36:57double-faced politics?
36:58You can't have
36:59different set of rules
37:00for the same thing.
37:01When Rahul can travel
37:02to Kota,
37:03when Rahul can travel
37:04to Prayagraj,
37:05why give Jharkhand a skip?
37:07Why give Ranchi a skip?
37:09And see,
37:10he could post
37:10a dog picture
37:11on 30th July
37:12but not listen
37:13to the rules of the student here.
37:15Mr. Deo,
37:16one minute,
37:17will any of your
37:17BJP ministers
37:18go to a state
37:19where there are
37:20exam irregularities
37:21in B-
37:21maximum irregularities
37:22have been in BJP-ruled states?
37:24I haven't seen
37:25any of your ministers
37:26going there.
37:27There is no
37:27chhatro ki goonj.
37:28You're only doing
37:28Instagram reels.
37:30All your leaders
37:30are doing Instagram reels.
37:32Why don't any of your
37:33leaders go to the ground?
37:34Why doesn't Prime Minister,
37:36Home Minister
37:36go do their
37:37chhatro ki goonj there?
37:38Can I come in?
37:39All of you are doing
37:40at least he's doing
37:41a chhatro ki goonj.
37:42You're not even doing that.
37:45See,
37:45he's doing
37:46a chhatro ki goonj
37:47selectively
37:48in only those states
37:49where BJP is in power.
37:50Let me remind you,
37:51the biggest paper leak
37:52in the history of country
37:53was the UPSC
37:55civil services
37:56examination leak
37:57in the 90s
37:58where the entire
37:59IS-IPS
38:01civil service
38:01main question paper
38:02was leaked
38:03and who was in power then?
38:05The Congress government
38:06was in power.
38:07That's the biggest
38:08question paper leak
38:09ever in the history
38:09of Jharkar.
38:10And historically,
38:12if you look at it,
38:13what actually,
38:13when it happened,
38:14it happened in Raachi.
38:15So,
38:16before speaking,
38:17Congress should look
38:18at its own track record
38:19and before you also say
38:20and you also claim
38:21that maximum paper leaks
38:23have happened in states
38:24which we have ruled.
38:24I totally deny this.
38:26This is absolutely baseless.
38:28You should back it up
38:28with figures
38:29where those leaks have happened.
38:32Why are you getting
38:32impatient, man?
38:33Just convey to our
38:35Mr. Shoot and Scoot Gandhi
38:36that, you know,
38:37Dago or Bhaago ki Rajaniti chhode.
38:40He should come down
38:41and stand with students
38:42of Raachi.
38:42He just posts a video message
38:44on the 12th day
38:45of the protest
38:46and says,
38:47we are with you.
38:48But never he comes.
38:48And see,
38:49no minister of the Congress
38:51has come down
38:52and met the protesters.
38:53What kind of double,
38:55kind of double,
38:56you know?
38:56Sir, sir, sir,
38:57Sir, double standard.
38:59Sir, sir, just a minute.
39:00Sir, one minute.
39:01No BJP,
39:02no BJP minister
39:04till the very end
39:05till matters reached ahead
39:06went and even met
39:07those student protesters
39:08for 20 days.
39:09So, we've seen,
39:11just a minute,
39:12just a minute,
39:13Mr. Sos,
39:13be patient.
39:14I'm giving you your,
39:15the fact is,
39:16double standards now
39:17is part of the way
39:18politics in this country
39:19is practice.
39:20Where you stand
39:20depends on where you sit.
39:22Now, you want your
39:22five second,
39:23Mr. Sos?
39:24You answer a simple question.
39:25Let Rahul Gandhi
39:26go this week
39:27and do a
39:28chhatro ki goonj
39:29in Raachi.
39:30Dood ka dood
39:30paani ka paani.
39:32I, you know,
39:33I, you know,
39:33just two things, Raachi.
39:34Just for my friend,
39:37basically,
39:37he was calling me a liar,
39:38but I think the entire country
39:39has seen those images
39:41of an AK-47 in behind.
39:43And the second,
39:44the second thing,
39:45my friend,
39:45just listen to me.
39:46Just second thing.
39:47You said that Rahul Gandhi
39:49was in Prayagraj.
39:49I just quoted a promo.
39:51No, no, please do not
39:52intervene, Mr. Dio.
39:53Let him finish.
39:54I never,
39:55I never interrupt you
39:56and you keep,
39:57please be,
39:58be patient.
39:59You said,
40:00I'm just responding to you.
40:01You said that Rahul Gandhi
40:03was in Prayagraj.
40:04It is just 400 kilometers
40:06from Raachi
40:07and why didn't he
40:09go and meet the students there?
40:10Let me ask you.
40:11The prime minister
40:12was five kilometers.
40:14The home minister
40:14was five kilometers
40:15from Jhantar Mantar.
40:18You asked me about
40:19400 kilometers,
40:20ask your home minister
40:21and prime minister
40:22about five kilometers.
40:23The people of the country
40:25want to know.
40:25Let me respond.
40:26Your question
40:26to your prime minister,
40:28to the home minister,
40:29why could they not travel
40:30five miles?
40:31Five kilometers?
40:33Right outside their home.
40:34You've made your point.
40:36Mr. Sous,
40:37you've made your point.
40:38Mr. Deo,
40:39you see,
40:39at the end of the day,
40:41the country is watching
40:43what is happening.
40:44Political parties
40:45are practicing
40:46the politics
40:47of shoot and scoot
40:48depending on
40:49their limited interests.
40:51If it is an opposition
40:52ruled state,
40:53you are,
40:53BJP is quick to rush in.
40:55If it's a BJP ruled state,
40:57silence.
40:59Congress,
41:00unwilling to go on the ground
41:01in a BJP ruled state,
41:03even though to Rahul Gandhi's credit,
41:05you have to say
41:05he has at least
41:06condemned it right away.
41:07But the fact remains,
41:09that when will,
41:10when what stops the,
41:11no, no, one minute,
41:13he has condemned it.
41:14I did not hear,
41:15I did not hear.
41:16Where is his absence?
41:17He's missing.
41:18Your leader is saying
41:19no guns were fired,
41:21no pellet guns were fired.
41:22That is true.
41:23Which is a bold lie.
41:24That is true.
41:24Delhi police has no guns,
41:26no pellet guns.
41:29Delhi police,
41:30R.A.F.S.
41:30Why are you stroking your head?
41:31R.A.F.S.
41:32Who stroked the head
41:33of your leader?
41:35Sir, sir,
41:36all I'm asking is
41:37the students want honesty
41:39from both of y'all.
41:40If both of y'all
41:41were totally honest
41:42and actually were concerned
41:43about the students,
41:45ABVP, NSUI
41:46would join hands
41:47to take on
41:48exam irregularities.
41:50That's when you would
41:50prove your honesty
41:51and say it's not
41:52about politics.
41:53Mr. Sos is saying
41:55it's not Congress,
41:55BJP,
41:56then for God's sake
41:57get NSUI and ABVP
41:58to go together.
41:59That's what you should be doing.
42:01Y'all are playing politics
42:02over students.
42:03You don't want to get
42:04exam irregularities corrected.
42:06That's the reality.
42:07Ten years,
42:08year after year,
42:09exam irregularities
42:10are taking place.
42:11I'll give both of you
42:13thirty seconds each.
42:14First you, Sos,
42:15and then Mr. Deo.
42:16Thirty seconds,
42:16no more.
42:17Go ahead, Mr. Sos.
42:19Look,
42:20I think,
42:21I just want to say
42:22this very clearly,
42:23just as our leader
42:24said today,
42:25whether it is
42:26protesters
42:27and young people
42:28whose future
42:29is at stake,
42:30whether it's in
42:30Jarkhand
42:31or anywhere else
42:32in the country.
42:32We have to figure out
42:33a solution
42:34to this structural problem
42:36in our economy,
42:37not creating jobs
42:38and even the few jobs
42:40that we have,
42:41then we have these
42:42exam paper leaks,
42:43recruitment leaks,
42:44et cetera,
42:45et cetera.
42:45And, you know,
42:46my BJP friend
42:47will say everything
42:48about Rahul Gandhi,
42:49but he will not
42:49at least acknowledge
42:51there has to be
42:52some decency
42:53in politics.
42:54Rahul Gandhi condemned
42:55what happened
42:56in Ranchi today.
42:57Meanwhile,
42:58not a single BJP leader,
43:00not one BJP leader
43:02has the guts
43:03to say anything
43:04about what happened
43:05in Delhi
43:06on July 20th.
43:07The home minister
43:08stays home,
43:10does not come
43:11to the house
43:12of the people,
43:13does not want
43:13to be held accountable.
43:15This arrogance
43:15is going to be crushed
43:17by the people of India.
43:18Okay.
43:19Mr. Deo,
43:20you're 30 seconds
43:21at the end.
43:22See,
43:23Rahul Gandhi
43:23took 17 days
43:24to condemn
43:25the incident
43:26and that's all
43:27he could,
43:27you know,
43:27muster.
43:28That's the best
43:28he could muster.
43:29Just one night
43:30condemn
43:31and,
43:31you know,
43:31put on a post
43:33on the X.
43:34So,
43:34there is a difference.
43:35See,
43:35you can't compare
43:36what is happening
43:37in Jharkhand
43:37with what happened
43:38in Delhi.
43:39See,
43:39the NIT was cancelled
43:40and it was taken
43:41again and lacks
43:42of students qualified.
43:43But in JPSC,
43:45in the Jharkhand
43:45Public Service Commission,
43:46the exam has not
43:47been cancelled.
43:48The students have
43:49hit the streets
43:49and they are demanding
43:51a CBI inquiry
43:51because 400 students
43:53have qualified
43:53from Haryana
43:54and the same
43:55examination
43:55of the PCS
43:56of Haryana
43:57was also done.
43:58But those 400 students
43:59did not give their
44:00state's PCS
44:01and travel all the way
44:02down to Jharkhand
44:04to give the
44:04PCS examination.
44:06So,
44:06CBI is the agency
44:07of choice.
44:07Why run away
44:08from CBI investigation?
44:09And just one post
44:11on X
44:12and one Instagram
44:13post is what
44:14Rahul Gandhi
44:15has done so far.
44:15there can't be your
44:17question leak
44:18and my question
44:19paper leak.
44:19Rahul Gandhi
44:20should not have
44:21double standards.
44:22It cannot be,
44:23sir,
44:24double standards
44:25of both.
44:26Let's not,
44:27as I said,
44:27no one can take
44:28moral high ground.
44:29It's not about
44:29your paper leak,
44:30my paper leak.
44:31It's about the
44:32students of Jharkhand.
44:34And I want to give you
44:35a quick my take
44:36to say that.
44:37The fact is,
44:38my friends,
44:39the selectivity
44:40does exist.
44:41That's the nature
44:42of politics.
44:43But what I would
44:44like to see
44:45is a day
44:46when examination
44:47paper leaks
44:48are seen
44:49as a genuine
44:50national problem,
44:51an epidemic
44:52that's affecting
44:53all our students
44:54and accountability
44:55being fixed.
44:57Why should it
44:58require students
44:59to take to the streets
45:00for those who
45:01have been involved
45:02in corrupt practices
45:03to actually
45:04be forced to resign
45:06and take accountability?
45:08Why should it
45:09require the students
45:09to take to the streets
45:10in Jantar Mantar
45:11for those
45:12for a complete
45:14overhaul
45:14to be done
45:15of the way
45:16exams are conducted
45:17in this country?
45:19Enough is enough.
45:21The message
45:22should be loud
45:23and clear
45:23whether it comes
45:24from Jantar Mantar
45:26or Jharkhand,
45:27an opposition
45:28ruled state
45:29or a BJP
45:30ruled state.
45:31The time has come
45:32to hold our
45:33netas accountable.
45:35Jawab Dehi
45:36is the word
45:37we want to send
45:38to each
45:39and every
45:40one of them.
45:41In fact,
45:42I want to turn
45:43to protests
45:43that are taking
45:44place over jobs
45:45in Kerala as well.

45:54One of the aspirants
45:56is on an indefinite
45:57hunger strike.
45:58Will the Kerala
45:59government now
45:59listen to an
46:00agree protestors?
46:01Remember here,
46:02there is a
46:02Congress government.
46:04Take a look.

47:52Last week, the protesters staged a symbolic grass-eating demonstration outside the Secretariat to highlight government apathy.
48:26The demands include immediate appointments from the existing rank list, transparent and a revised teacher-student ratio of one teacher
48:36for every 25 students.
48:41Well, they're all people who work day and night, studied hard to achieve a government job.
48:46They went on to feature in the rank list, achieve their dream, but instead of sitting in their offices and
48:52schools, they're sitting on the street protesting, expecting some justice from the government.
49:02The protests has drawn wider political attention, with the ABVP taking out a solidarity march to the Secretariat.
49:17This comes even as Kerala Public Service Commission itself remains under scrutiny.
49:24A crime branch, SIT, is probing alleged irregularities in a PSE recruitment exam.
49:34With the government yet to give a concrete timeline, the protest shows no signs of winding down.
49:43For the aggrieved protesters, the question remains simple.
49:47How long can a rank holder be made to wait for a job?
49:58Heavy rain has triggered a series of incidents across several parts of north and central India that are facing monsoon
50:04fury.
50:05Heavy rainfall has disrupted connectivity, transport, daily life in several states.
50:09In Uttarakhand, Chamoli, a crowdburst led to a 40-meter-long Bailey bridge being washed away, cutting off 13 villages
50:16from the Joshimad-Taisil headquarters.
50:18The road towards the India-China border has also been blocked.
50:21In Rajgat, Madhya Pradesh, an eco-van carrying 11 people were swept away by the swollen Jiri stream.
50:27Nine bodies have been recovered, while two people managed to swim to safety.
50:31In Haryana, Sonipath, heavy rain has once again exposed problems with the city's drainage system.
50:36Water rising to around three feet in several areas, turning roads into virtual ponds.
50:41Many shops in the area have simply shut down.
50:45So, troubling images coming in from different parts of the country.
50:53Now, a gold medal that came with a heartbreaking homecoming.
50:57A 17-year-old Assam karate champion, Janmoni Konwar, returned from Delhi to find her home submerged by the Assam
51:05floods.
51:05Now living in a tent, the class 12 student is training on an embankment while preparing for her board exams.
51:13Take a look at tonight's Get Real India story.
51:38When Janmoni Konwar returned to Jorahat on Sunday, after winning gold at a National Karate Championship held in Delhi,
51:48there was no house to go back to.
51:51Instead, there was a tent.
51:55This has been the 17-year-old's home since July 19th, when floodwaters entered a house,
52:03forcing a family to take refuge on the embankment.
52:20The fish and poultry were swept away.
52:25They managed to save the cattle, essential documents, and Janmoni's medals and prizes.
52:34But without any funds, the trip to Delhi was itself in doubt.
52:39This is when Janmoni found a saviour in Alaak Pandey of physicswala fame, who donated 3 lakh rupees.
53:02While a family got down to planning a trip, she got down to training on the embankment itself.
53:20Janmoni has a busy year ahead.
53:22She's in class 12th and will face board exams in few months to come.
53:27Some of which will be spent at this temporary shelter.
53:32This tent is more than just the address of a gold medalist.
53:36It is also a reminder of the devastation suffered by Assam due to floods.
53:52And I want to say you can also help the flood victims of Assam.
53:55You can contribute to care today.
53:57The details are on your screen.
53:58Also in the specific case of this young karate champion.
54:02If you want to help her, we will try and ensure that you can contact her.
54:06So if there is any way that you wish to help the young karate champion who finds herself suddenly living
54:13in a tent,
54:14please make a difference both with the care today fund and if you want to directly in a way work
54:22with the family of the young girl,
54:24that too will be most effective.
54:28Okay.
54:31Now, I want to leave you with our image of the day because amidst all the clashes that have taken
54:36place in Rachi today,
54:38a rather unusual picture has emerged.
54:40As rain lashed the area outside the Jarkhand Assembly,
54:44police personnel and protesting students were seen taking shelter under the same umbrella.
54:50An umbrella truce of sorts in Rachi.
54:53A brief moment of calm between two sides that have been locked in a tense standoff.
54:59Remember at the end of the day, particularly a reminder in this Independence Day week,
55:04those who are expected to maintain law and order and we the citizens,
55:09eventually are citizens of this country.
55:13And that matters.
55:14Thanks for watching.
55:16You stay well, stay safe.
55:18Good night, Shubratri.
55:19Jayin.
55:20Namaskar.
