00:00404 hurdles, Qadali there of Turkey, national under 20 champion, the 400 flats and the four
00:09hurdles, Utah, now she's a big one to watch, the Romanian, is she the outright favourite?
00:14She could be, European under 20, gold last year, Karim in lane 6, twice the Asian under
00:2218 champion, 56-39 her best, Ramakoppa, what a championship she's had, medalled last night,
00:32a lovely silver in the 100 hurdles, she's back today, Frel of Germany goes in lane 4, the
00:41twice national under 20 champion in 2025 and 2026, 56-8 her best, Yakovaki, well keep your
00:50on her, mum and dad both very successful athletes, she is 2, 17 years old, she likes to leave
00:55it late though, in lane number 2 there for the Bahamas, Hannah, the national under 20 champion,
01:0656-78, attends Temple University, Shavon Thomas on the inside, a personal best yesterday to
01:13make it through the semi-finals, 53-5 over the 400 flat, well this could be really interesting,
01:23Kadanali in lane 8 will like to go off hard, Yuta will go off really, really quickly,
01:31she could be, perhaps the favourite, Yakovaki, keep your eye on her in the closing 150 metres,
01:39and Ramakoppa, she's looked so relaxed through these entire championships, the only touch we've
01:44had of strain on her face as she came across the line yesterday for Silva.
02:02Set, good start, cleanly away at the first time of asking Ramakoppa, moving well, she's
02:07already up onto the shoulder of Kareem on her outside, and Ali's gone out really, really hard,
02:13we salute her, she's trying to follow, there she goes, she's really into her running now,
02:17down the back straight, keep your eyes out for Yakovaki on the inside in lane 3, she's not
02:21quite up there at the moment, but she could well come back, she's got the strength to Ramakoppa
02:25there, looking strong at the moment, it's between the South African
02:29and the Romanian over on the outside, Ramakoppa moving really nicely,
02:35Uta, she's been so strong, she went really hard at the start, she went hard yesterday as well,
02:39she clung on in the semi-finals yesterday, that strength and power was enough to see her through,
02:44she's got a good lead here, Ramakoppa sat in second at the minute, Yakovaki now coming back into it,
02:48we said she'd be late, and here she comes, Yakovaki challenging Ramakoppa, Uta is going to take it,
02:55she's going to be the world under 20 champion, there she goes, the South African comes through,
02:59the second Yakovaki with a wonderful bronze medal, that late charge from the Greek there again,
03:06oh so impressive, an area under 20 record for Uta with 55.33, Ramakoppa 55.88 and a national
03:15under 20 record for the Greek 55.99. What a run and what a performance from all three,
03:23what a summer it's been for Yakovakis, all three medalists inside 56 seconds and even Kareem who
03:33was fourth has broken her national record. I knew this was going to be a good final because six of
03:41the field had produced personal bests or national under 20 records in the semis just to make it this
03:48far. Uta started beautifully on the outside, she really did, she powered away around that second
03:57bend. Ramakoppa should be pleased with that silver medal, it's an area record and she's won silvers in
04:06both the hurdle races, a brilliant effort from the South African, it really was, but Stephanie Uta
04:13was in truly inspired form, 55.33 for the title, it was magnificent.
04:21She used that lane to advantage, didn't she Rob and Rosie, she never saw any of the main
04:26dangers, Ramakoppa and a well-balanced race, Kareem's come from a mile back, she was last into the
04:31straight to finish four, Yakovaki was superb, you can see her in lane number three there,
04:38the youngster charging home, but nobody Rosie, nobody got close enough really to pressure Uta in
04:45the end, that's as brave as you can get from the front and basically she didn't see any of her
04:50rivals the whole way around. It was essentially a front run, a solo run for the ages, wasn't it?
04:56Uta was brilliant, she went off so hard, she went off really hard yesterday as well, you could see
05:01she made it hurt yesterday and today it was enough to just power through so dominant.
