00:32of has i'm like it's like people already kind of know you know um we use other buttons um sarah
00:38paulson jessica lang um emma roberts billy lord um gabby like it's just it's been unreal and to do it
00:46with alex who is like new bestie i'm so so thrilled um i'm so excited to be in that world
00:51he's just the
00:52goat and i love horror anyone who knows me knows horror is my absolute favorite genre and so i'm
00:57really glad to be making my foray back into it after a few years of of not yes well i
01:03know that
01:03horror is like your genre to act in but i read that you want to make a romantic drama you
01:09want to
01:09write and direct this yes i probably not direct but i am on the writing team and we have found
01:16a home
01:17for it i'm very excited to announce we will be announcing soon um and i really trust them they've
01:23been killing it in the romance genre as of recently so i'm so happy to entrust them with this project
01:29it
01:29is kind of like my baby i'm writing it with one of my best friends and i think it's really
01:33important to
01:33see brown women at the forefront of a romance and see women of color we all deserve love um and
01:40yeah
01:40what has it been like to be able to stretch yourself creatively in that way you know obviously we get
01:44a
01:44chance to see you on the screen but to be able to like really have control of that storytelling what
01:49was that like for you i'm really glad you asked that question because it's been very nerve-wracking
01:53to stretch creatively in that way i'm you know i'm only 21 and i did not go to school for
01:58writing which
02:00would help you know and so i'm finding it a little scary and intimidating but i also think it's important
02:06to push yourself in this field and it's the only way to grow you can get comfortable with all the
02:11glitz
02:11and glamour so quickly and easily that i think it is really important to take that step sometimes
02:16yeah take anything away from working with someone like mindy for example you know another woman who's
02:21known for her pen game absolutely just that if you want to see a space for you in the industry
02:27you
02:27kind of have to go there and make it and she has also done an incredible job of platforming brown
02:32women every project without fail and i think that that's incredible and i want nothing more than to
02:38open the table for women after me just like she did um so she's the biggest inspiration always
02:45you are continuing to inspire i'm so excited to see this next step for you and we're so happy to
