00:00I have to use my phone, folks.
00:03I don't usually get nervous, but this is an exception.
00:06Give me a second here.
00:08And also, thank you, Pat and David, for your very kind, humorous words.
00:15If I know it was going to be a comedy thing, I would have made you so much lighter.
00:19But anyway, here it goes.
00:21First of all, our sincerest gratitude to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for this extraordinary honour.
00:27Thank you so much.
00:29To our guest speakers, David Fossett and Pat Sajic, thank you for being here and sharing this moment with us.
00:35To our long-time manager, Bally Siegel, and our agent, Jim Gosnell, thank you for steering our careers tirelessly and
00:42always almost making the right moves.
00:44Well, almost always, anyway.
00:47You are a huge part of what Air Supply is and remains as relevant today as we were in 1980.
00:53To vote, Clyde Davis of Alistair Records, who recognised our potential when he first heard Lust in Love and helped
01:00us make possible our seven consecutive top five films in the early 80s.
01:04To our producers, Charles Fisher, Bob Eslin, and of course, Harry Maslin, who produced our first number one, The One
01:11That You Love.
01:12To Roy Kim Steinman, who wrote and produced the monumental Making Love Out of Nothing at All, thank you for
01:18being you and giving us a song that became part of our legacy.
01:22To every past and present member of our band and crew, you are our true unsung heroes.
01:27Your talent, loyalty, and dedication have carried us farther than you will ever know.
01:33To our friends, thank you for standing by us for so many years.
01:37To all our fans all around the world, thank you for your undying love and support.
01:41You have carried these songs across generations and across continents.
01:45This star is not only a tribute to where we've been, it belongs to everyone who has sung with us,
01:50believed in us, and kept the love alive.
01:52To my family in Australia, I send you all my love.
01:56My late sister Gail and my late mother Betts were always an inspiration for me.
02:00To my daughter Sydney, thank you for understanding the life I've lived and the time I've had to spin away
02:05from you.
02:06I love you, baby.
02:07To my wife Kerry, you changed my life when we met seven years ago.
02:11You taught me the independence of being present, and your support when I became sober five years ago helped make
02:17me a better man.
02:17I love you dearly.
02:22To my Earth Supply partner Graham, after all these years, this moment belongs to both of us.
02:27We began this journey together.
02:29We're standing here together because of your music and our amazing friendship, and the belief that we shared from the
02:35beginning.
02:35We are deeply honoured to be here on the Hollywood Walker fam.
02:39Thank you for making Earth Supply part of Hollywood history.
02:41Thank you guys so much.
02:48Hi, everybody.
02:50I'm a little more casual.
02:53A couple of things.
02:54First of all, thank you to all the fans.
02:57I know you're here and everywhere around the world.
03:01Thank you so much.
03:02We've been very fortunate in our career to work with the best people, and one of our catchphrases is, just
03:08work with the best people.
03:09That's why we have Barry Seedle, our manager, since our career began, Jim Gosnell, our agent, and David.
03:18That song we wrote together, we still play it live, so it's not such a big stiff.
03:24Thank you, David, so much for making the time for us, and Pat.
03:28To our band and crew, they are fantastic, and to everyone that comes to our shows, thank you.
03:38We've always said, being in the entertainment industry is like a jigsaw puzzle.
03:44Russell and I, we always say that our band and our crew, we're all playing a part, and no part
03:51is greater than the other.
03:52So, thank you, everyone. Thank you for giving us this great honor.
03:57I don't really know what more to say.
03:59Thank you so much.
