00:15Great to be here tonight.
00:18This next gentleman is someone I became aware of somewhat incrementally.
00:25Early in 2025, I started hearing his song, Back to Friends, on the radio and was quite taken with both
00:34the singer and the song.
00:37Back to Friends ended up staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for, I believe, about a year, and deservedly so.
00:48Later, when his song, 12 to 12, was released, I had gotten to know a little bit more about him
00:54and had become an admirer,
00:56not only of the voice and the songs, but also of the fact that he writes all his own material
01:02and produces his own work as well.
01:05This kind of self-reliance places him in rather elite company.
01:11And what makes it even more laudable is the fact that he achieved all of this before turning 21.
01:18Such a level of self-sufficiency and vision is to be applauded.
01:23It allows the artist to experience the creative process as something sacred,
01:28and it creates a deeper grounding, encouraging the artist to make choices on their own terms
01:34and to strive for growth, evolution, and longevity.
01:38All that said, this guy is someone, really, who is just getting started.
01:44Someone I believe we'll be hearing from for decades to come.
01:49So, if you will, please give it up for Somber.
