00:00With the Angels bouncing back, getting one against the Orioles 4-1 there.
00:06I believe the Orioles might be on their way south, Craig.
00:10Is that correct?
00:11Is it the Orioles are on their way to Miami for a series?
00:15Angels.
00:16Angels.
00:17Angels, right.
00:18Okay.
00:18Well, they're on their way to Texas then.
00:19I knew it was one of them.
00:20I couldn't figure out if the Angels were on their way home.
00:22So Angels are on their way to Miami for the Marlins.
00:26So that's good news for the Marlins who are getting ready to take on Atlanta coming up.
00:33Now, you said Perez, the lefty.
00:36You have mentioned, I think it was yesterday, that he's actually been pretty good here,
00:43especially since he came back, right?
00:46Now, he's no spring chicken.
00:48We know that.
00:49But he has been actually better than I think people realize,
00:53which may explain why they haven't gone out.
00:56They didn't do anything crazy pitching-wise at the break, Atlanta.
01:01Yeah, they did try to get to Grom, and it didn't work.
01:04And they made an offer for Scoobble, and it didn't work.
01:06And those are big upgrades, of course.
01:08But Perez, when he faces a lineup that has six, seven lefties,
01:12he generally performs very well.
01:14Now, for him tonight, Miami is sitting every lefty they have,
01:17except for Kyle Stowers.
01:19But then the quality of the righties that Miami puts in is certainly not going to be as good as
01:25it would be if they had those lefties in.
01:27So that's sort of the difference there.
01:28So you're getting a lot of guys sitting for Miami tonight, including their catcher, Joe Mack.
01:33So, yeah, I mean, look, from my perspective in watching the Marlins play the last two nights,
01:40and I'm hoping this changes, Joe, but they're coming out real sluggish with the bats, man.
01:44It has just been disappointing.
01:45They are.
01:46It's been disappointing.
01:48And it's not like their pitching has been bad.
01:49I mean, Yuri Perez did give up four runs yesterday, but he struck out, I think, nine or ten guys.
01:54He just, look, every guy in the Braves lineup can hit.
01:57So it doesn't matter how many outs they have or who's on base,
02:00any guy that comes up can hit a home run or double in a run.
02:04I know that this is going to be a tough matchup for Miami tonight even,
02:08but the good news is, as you said, they face the Angels this weekend,
02:11and on paper, Miami is significantly better than the Angels,
02:16and especially Saturday's matchup.
02:17They have Sandy Alcantara.
02:18Miami does pitching on Saturday.
02:20If he throws three innings, he'll be the all-time Marlins innings leader.
02:23I would suspect that he will get that.
02:26Now, also, earlier today, we got to see another shiny new toy, you know, show what he's got,
02:33and Dustin May looked pretty good once again for Milwaukee.
02:38That was somebody that they had gone out and traded.
02:43We knew St. Louis was, they were, they only had him for a year,
02:47so anything they could get in return from him, you knew they were going to.
02:51But he's picked up right from where he left off.
02:54You know, he's, again, for that pitching staff of Milwaukee, sneaky good with that 5-2 win today.
03:00Perfect guy to have in Milwaukee's rotation, 5-6 innings, and just hand it over to the bullpen.
03:06And by the way, as we talked about, Kyle Harrison pitched very well last night,
03:10but he did have to come out of the game.
03:12So I'm not sure what his injury status is and exactly what's going on there,
03:17but this is why they got some more reinforcements, and I thought May was fantastic today.
03:22And, you know, tough trade anytime you have to train the division,
03:25but St. Louis did send them to Milwaukee.
03:28Brewers have the best record, I believe, in Major League Baseball right now.
03:31So, yeah, Brewers are just firing on all cylinders,
03:34and I hate to just go over it, you know, every day,
03:37but if you're betting against the Brewers when they're at home,
03:41just expect to lose money because they just don't lose.
