00:00Pretty good pitchers battle set up here tonight, Craig, and it involves a guy that you mentioned yesterday I completely
00:07forgot, and that's Kyle Harrison, the lefty from Milwaukee, is actually back here tonight at home taking on Paul Skeens
00:18of all folks here.
00:19So now Paul Skeens, listen, every time we try to bet unders with Skeens or Hunter Green for that matter,
00:27it doesn't seem to go all that well. That total is hovering around seven here tonight, but it'll be interesting.
00:34I mean, Harrison's been on the shelf for a little while. He's back in Milwaukee, and, you know, we didn't
00:41get a whole lot of runs last night.
00:43I don't know that we're going to get a whole lot of runs in this one here tonight, but I
00:47can tell you this, the Pirates' bullpen looks a lot better than it was 72 hours ago. That much I
00:53can say.
00:55It looks better on paper. They've added several names, as we talked about yesterday, specifically Luke Weaver and Camilo Doval.
01:02Those were two, and Doval was earlier in the week, and then they ended up getting Weaver, too, Lake Bakker.
01:08So, look, it's put-up-or-shut-up time for the Pirates. They're certainly not playing their best baseball this
01:14season. It comes at a bad time, but there still is time, Joe, for them to get things turned around.
01:21Milwaukee, very, very tough to beat, as we've talked about. Very good team at home. And the other part about
01:27this matchup tonight, and yes, you're right, Harrison's back, and he was great earlier in the season, but what's up
01:32with Paul Skeens?
01:33Does anybody really know? Like, there's a lot of speculation. No one seems to have answers. He's the most perplexing
01:39question, I would think, as far as a pitcher is concerned over the last couple of months.
01:43It seems like every time he goes out there, he can't get out of the fifth inning, and this is
01:47going on now for a while, so I don't know if that's going to change tonight.
01:51Of course, there's always going to be speculation about a guy being hurt or a guy tipping pitches. We don't
01:55know of anything of that to be true.
01:58Still think he's still one of the best pitchers in the game. Maybe it's just, Joe, that he's not going
02:02to have a great season. That's possible, too.
02:05But tough series for Pittsburgh to have to stay in the race by playing the Brewers. The good news for
02:11them is that the series will be over eventually, and then they won't have to play them for a bit
02:16again.
02:16But a tough, tough team to beat in Milwaukee.
02:19Yeah, very tough. Again, I think he's, I don't know if he's working on some things. We watched him pitch
02:26last time against Cincinnati.
02:28He just seems to be missing a lot of his pitches, leaving him over the center of the plate, and
02:33guys are making him pay.
02:35It's just one of those seasons here so far. But Pittsburgh very much alive, still battling here for a wild
02:42card spot.
02:43I think that's a game I'm going to be very interested to see how that turns out here.
