00:00I wanted to ask you about a tragedy that happened over the weekend in the Bronx.
00:04A mother and a grandmother were arrested for allegedly starving an autistic 16-year-old boy to death in their
00:10care.
00:12The Administration for Children's Services had closed a case into this family about two years prior to his passing.
00:21And the mom had also pulled him out of New York City Public School two months before.
00:25So my question is, are you going to be calling for a probe into ACS's role in this case?
00:32And, you know, do you have any information about how this slipped through the cracks, especially since he was pulled
00:38out of public school?
00:39So I know that this has been a focus for ACS and for our commissioner, and I'm also deeply appreciative
00:45of their efforts when it comes to the brother of the young man who was killed and ensuring his safety
00:53in this time.
00:53Our focus primarily is on that question of safety, but it is a conversation that continues internally.
