05:37detailing the figures on the damage, losses and measures taken after the earthquakes that struck on June 24.
05:43Authorities report 6,125 deaths, while 6,462 people were rescued.
05:50As part of the response of the earthquake, 60,992 patients have received medical assistance
05:56and 287 houses have been distributed to affected families.
06:00Meanwhile, officials are continuing to conduct structural housing assessments.
06:06To date, 43,679 inspections have been carried out, determining that 41,624 homes have been affected.
06:15In this regard, under the government's traffic-like classification, 25,325 houses have been deemed habitable,
06:249,866 are subject to occupancy restrictions, and 6,433 have been classified as high risk.
06:33In addition, authorities report that 346,755 metric tons of debris have been cleared,

09:05Hello, studios. We're coming to you from Guarenas, particularly from the field hospital that is being led here by the
09:13Barbados crew
09:14that is working in the assistance after the twin earthquakes of June 24th.
09:19And we're here with a very special person in order to guarantee the assistance and the work, the cooperation between
09:26Venezuela and Barbados teams.
09:28She is Tatiana, one of the interpreters here. Thank you, Tatiana, for offering your time.
09:33And just wanted to ask you, how has this experience been?
09:37It's a pleasure to be here with you guys. This experience has been nothing more than nourishing.
09:42I have learned so much, not only as an interpreter, but as a person.
09:47Being able to work along with the Barbadian medical team, the Venezuelan medical team,
09:51it has been completely nourishing and a wonderful experience, really.
09:55In your role as an interpreter, having to translate back and forth in the midst of a very difficult situation
10:04for Venezuelans as well,
10:05what have you gathered in terms of what is the key aspect of doing a good translation,
10:13needing to support what they need at that moment and also delivering the correct information for the medical team?
10:21So I do understand this role is very important. I have tried to look at myself kind of as an
10:27extension of both parties,
10:29because it's up to me for this person to get their message across and this person to get their message
10:34across.
10:34So I try to take it very seriously. And the role of interpreters has been here extremely important.
10:42So one of the things that a lot of the, well, part of the medical crew and also the assistants
10:48have told us
10:49is that they are learning a lot from each other. What have you learned, Tatiana, from the different cultures here
10:55that are at play at this camp?
10:57Okay. I would say the main thing since I'm working in a hospital is that medical staff, their first priority
11:03is always the patient.
11:04You know, you might think, well, this is obvious, but it hasn't always been like that.
11:08What I've learned that Venezuelan medical staff and Barbados medical staff have in common is that they share an enormous
11:15love for their patients.
11:16So that is something I have taken from them and I'm going to keep forever.
11:22Thank you so much for this time and for the testimony that really allows us to understand what is happening
11:27here in the midst of a complex moment with so much solidarity.

12:48The Administrative Court of Cundinamarca has accepted the lawsuit seeking to stop the relocation of Congress to Cali for the
12:55inauguration of President-elect Abelardo del Espriera on August 7.
12:58With just three days to react in Cali, the Administrative Court of Cundinamarca admitted a lawsuit challenging the relocation of
13:08Congress headquarters to the capital of Valle del Cauca and ordered several authorities to provide urgent information before deciding whether
13:16to issue a preliminary injunction or not.
13:19This is a class action lawsuit fueled by activist and Colombian citizen David Fernando Cano who considers that the relocation
13:26could violate collective rights and interests related to administrative integrity, the protection of public assets, transparency, the illegality of government
13:35spending and public safety.
13:37Although the court has not yet suspended the action, it did require Congress and other entities involved to submit documents
13:44and explanations.
13:54In Argentina, an nationwide port strike is underway in protest against the policies of Javier Amelie's government.
14:01The maritime and port union is taking this action to protest the regulations that alter key aspects of the current
14:07labor regime.
14:08The union argues that the decree issued by Javier Amelie's administration which deregulates labor rights and alters the framework under
14:17which the industry currently operates.
14:19Furthermore, the unions questioned the fact that the reform was implemented via a decree and demanded that the executive branch
14:26convene a forum for dialogue before moving forward with its implementation.
14:39Social organizations in Argentina call on the Senate to stop the legislative package that seeks to hand over land, water
14:46and energy to foreign capital.
14:47The civil society organizations denounced that the independent bills proposed by the Senate are two interlocking mechanisms that work in
14:55tandem to undermine the country's sovereignty over its strategic common goods.
15:00In turn, they warn lawmakers about the political and federal costs of approving this package as it implies a structural
