00:05Wow.
00:05Wow, indeed.
00:07For David Fincher, yep, the guy behind iconic films such as Seven and Fight Club is doing
00:12a movie about a bunch of geeks who set up a website.
00:15I don't understand.
00:15Good point, lady.
00:16After all, it's not very Tyler Durden, is it?
00:18So what's the crack then?
00:20Well, Harvard grad Mark Zuckerberg, a socially inept geek, basically creates the world's
00:25most popular social network.
00:26I'm talking about taking the entire social experience of college and putting it online.
00:30Ironic, isn't it?
00:31I want to hire the Sopranos to beat the s*** out of him with a hammer.
00:34Okay, so he may have made a few enemies along the way, but he has also made an absolute packet
00:39out of this Facebook foray.
00:40A million dollars isn't cool.
00:41You know what's cool?
00:42You?
00:42A billion dollars.
00:43You know what's even cooler, JT?
00:45Becoming the world's youngest billionaire at 23 and being worth an estimated seven billion
00:51dollars.
00:52Not bad for a nerd, so thumbs up to you, Mr. Zuckerberg.
00:55Hang about.
00:56What the hell are you doing in this, Timberlake?
01:00Surely you're not trying to bring the sexy back into social networking?
01:03You think you know me?
01:04Yeah, a bit.
01:05After all, I've read enough about you in the tabloids.
01:07You know how much I've read about you?
01:09Okay, Justin.
01:10There's no need to be a knob about it.
01:12So, you play Sean Parker, the founder of free music download site Napster and a god among
01:17geeks.
01:17You're gonna hand him a business card that says, I'm CEO, bitch.
01:21That's what I want for you.
01:22Who takes Zuckerberg under his wing and leads him into the big time, but what's Parker really
01:26like?
01:27You better lawyer up, cause I'm coming back for everything.
01:29Okay, so Eduardo may not be his biggest fan, but what about you?
01:33I found addiction, I found paranoia, I found insecurity.
01:39Hey, hey, snap out a bit, Timberlake.
01:40We're talking about Sean Parker, not Britney.
01:43And don't pretend you haven't got a scooby on what I'm talking about, Timberlake.
01:47Whatever.
01:48So, long story short, Zuckerberg goes global with Facebook with Parker's help, ostracizes
01:53his former friend and financier, Eduardo Saverin, and is soon facing multiple lawsuits from him
01:59and a group of fellow Harvard grads.
02:00The Winklevii aren't suing me for intellectual property theft, they are suing me because for
02:04the first time in their lives, things didn't work out the way they were supposed to for
02:08them.
02:08Who claimed that he stole their idea.
02:10How to make friends, eh?
02:11So, with Fincher at the helm, and dialogue snappier than a hormonal piranha, courtesy of
02:16Aaron Sorkin, the man behind the West Wing, A Few Good Men, and Charlie Wilson's War,
02:20what else has the social network got to recommend it?
02:23Well, a top roster of acting talent to boot, including the likes of Zombieland's Jesse Eisenberg,
02:27the soon-to-be Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield, pin-up pop star Justin Timberlake, and the
02:32next girl with a dragon tattoo, the foxy Rooney Mara.
02:36A beautifully crafted and contemporary work with fabulous performances and scintillating
02:40dialogue, the social network is without a doubt one of the films of the year, so we
02:44are giving this a rather splendid five-star rating.
02:47After all, what's not to like?
02:49I think I've come up with something.
02:50That looks good.
02:51That looks really good.
02:52People want to go on the internet and check out their friends.
02:54That's what the Facebook is going to be about.
