00:00I'm going with comfortable. You look very comfortable out there to me. Is that a good word?
00:06I'm just doing my job, you know, trying not to give up passes.
00:11So I think it's just that, but, you know, I think, what, day five, so I'm going to like, you
00:17know, getting back into my groove.
00:19Looks like the pass rush has been putting on some pretty consistent pressure.
00:24How are you guys feeling that on the back end?
00:26Oh, we love that. Yeah, we definitely love that. I mean, you know, if you have that, I mean, it
00:30makes it a lot easier for us.
00:31And then, you know, the quarterback, you know, only has a certain amount of time to get the ball out.
00:36So, I mean, I feel like they've been doing a great job so far, applying pressure and, you know, making
00:41it easier for us.
00:42So they've been doing great so far.
00:44Does a lot change once the pads come on?
00:49I mean, not really. I mean, yeah, it's just pads.
00:51But at the same time, you know, you're still doing your job, you know, flying around.
00:55And, you know, just having fun.
00:58So I think it's just that.
00:59I mean, it's an extra layer of it, but I'm trying not to think about it too much.
01:03What's it like when you get that first little bit of contact?
01:06Oh, yeah. I mean, the butterflies get, you know, get taken away.
01:09You know, I mean, whenever you have pads, you just want to get that first done.
01:12And then after that, it's just like, all right, you know, we're just playing football again.
01:15So it's just that, yeah.
01:16You had to play toward the end there where you knocked the ball out of Mike's hands on that catch.
01:20What did you see there?
01:21What happened from your standpoint there?
01:23I just made a good play.
01:26So, yeah, I just got the ball out.
01:28Never had a chance.
01:29I feel like the defense is stacking some good days.
01:32Oh, yeah.
01:34I feel like we've been very consistent, you know, the last couple of days.
01:37You know, I feel like the offense, they've been giving us great looks.
01:41So I feel like, yeah, from, you know, from top down,
01:44I feel like we've been on the court and, you know, playing fast
01:47and doing, you know, what the coaches expect of us.
01:50So, yeah.
01:51Boy, you just told us a couple of minutes ago that the goal right now is to set the standard,
01:56get the foundation.
01:58What does the standard mean to you at this point in camp?
02:02Really just, you know, setting the tone for the season.
02:06I think right now is a cornerstone for the season.
02:09So I think just, you know, establishing, you know, each position group,
02:14I feel like just you have to figure out what you want to, you know, live by,
02:19stand by each and every day and not, you know, differentiate from that.
02:24So I think it's just, you know, having one common goal, you know,
02:28starting in your position group and then coming together as one unit
02:30and, you know, living by that.
02:32So I feel like we've been doing a great job of that.
02:34Obviously, we still have new guys.
02:35So I just, you know, I feel like we all have to, you know, keep establishing it.
02:39But I feel like we're on a good track.
02:41Seems like Brian's been pretty vocal back there in the secondary.
02:45How would you describe his impact five days into camp?
02:48Yeah, I mean, you know, just his experience.
02:50I mean, I feel like we both, I mean, yeah,
02:52he's been here five years in the league.
02:54So I feel like, you know, he's had the experience, you know, Casey, obviously,
02:58and, you know, bringing that over here, I feel like that just rises the level of,
03:03you know, our play, his play.
03:05So I feel like he's been great for us so far.
03:07Your best coverage might have been on the ball of the pot.
03:11I mean, you were all over 86 and somehow he came down.
03:15That was good coverage as well, wasn't it?
03:17Yeah.
03:18You went something.
03:18Yeah, that's just the life I chose, you know.
03:22You know, sometimes they got to, sometimes they got to, you know, get the ball.
03:25Sometimes we take the ball away.
03:27So, but yeah, next time I get that.
03:29But, yeah, just great catch, great ball.
03:32It's a godfather reference.
03:33Are you a fan of the movies?
03:35Oh, yeah.
03:35Oh, yeah.
03:37Yeah, Don Corleone.
03:39I'm familiar.
03:40I see a lot more emotion from this offense than we've seen in the past.
03:45How has that been taxing on you guys?
03:47Has it been helpful?
03:48You said what, the motions?
03:49All the motion that they've got going on.
03:50Oh, yeah.
03:51We're just always used to the motions.
03:54You know, we have offense.
03:55You know, they're not just going to line up and run a play.
03:57I mean, I feel like sometimes they window dress things and, you know, try to get their best guys open.
04:01So, you just never, you never know.
04:04You can't get too comfortable or expect anything with the offense.
04:07So, you really have to be, you know, in front of everything pretty much.
04:12What Dan was talking about with the pass rush too, besides the math of them just forcing the ball out
04:17earlier,
04:17does that help you guys in any way, just seeing them win repeatedly up front?
04:21Yeah, I mean, you know, I feel like we can play a lot faster.
04:24We can be more confident.
04:25We can play faster, knowing that the ball has to come out as simple as that.
04:29Yeah.
04:30To play with that team in the red zone.
04:33Mm-hmm.
04:34I mean, that's a one-on-one matchup play.
04:36A lot of corners don't end it.
04:39Can you run through that play?
04:42Yeah, I mean, it just gave me a double move.
04:44And, you know, I was, you know, good coverage.
04:46So, I feel like, you know, Joe had to put it, you know, behind, you know, back shoulder.
04:49So, you know, just not good coverage and, you know, he tried to make a play on it.
04:54But, you know, so, just one of those plays.
