00:00People don't like, I think there's like a lot of Christians that get super defensive about this.
00:05Christianity has been the result, like a lot of things bad that have happened have been a result of Christianity.
00:10This is completely false.
00:12Christianity has been a net positive for the world.
00:15And although there are many people that are called Christian, that behaved immorally,
00:20this is not the fault of Christianity.
00:22And secular and atheist movements have been the cause of the majority of the suffering that we've seen around the
00:29world
00:29in the past 100 years.
00:32Communism and Nazism is rooted in secular thought and atheism.
00:37Like they've done oppressive bad things.
00:39We had like literally the Dark Ages.
00:41Why is it called the Dark Ages?
00:42Because of fucking religion.
00:43The first time the word Dark Ages is used is by a Renaissance figure and humanist called Petrarch.
00:50Now even though he was a devout Catholic, he believed that society was in an intellectual and cultural decline.
00:56After the fall of the Western Roman Empire.
01:01Later Renaissance figures and Enlightenment period fathers, who were mostly secularists and humanists,
01:08used this as a cruddle against the Catholic Church.
01:12Even historians don't believe the term is fitting.
01:16Because it's not an accurate portrayal of history.
01:19It's subjective.
01:20And it was mainly used as anti-Catholic propaganda.
01:24And so, no, yeah, Salem witch trials.
01:27Look at that.
01:28This has been happening.
01:29So there's no religion, like Islam isn't any better or anything like that either.
01:35If Islam promoted a society which is better than Christian society,
01:39we would not see Muslims fleeing Islamic states to the Christian West.
01:44I'm not saying that Islam is good and Christianity is bad.
01:47I'm saying that both of these religions have created historically a lot of radical behavior and they've promoted violence.
01:57You cannot conflate something which is offensive to something that was defensive.
02:02It took centuries for the Christian West to launch the Crusades because they had to contemplate the morality involved with
02:11war.
02:12Even a defensive war against a violent invading force.
02:17First, this will be a colonel right to the Christian West.
