00:00So Father Kelvin Robinson writes, Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles III will
00:05not be issuing an Easter message this year. Let's take a look at this video he shared.
00:10Assalamu alaikum, Ramadan Mubarak. Ladies and gentlemen, as Muslims across the United Kingdom
00:18and the Commonwealth begin preparations to celebrate Eid after fasting for the holy month
00:25of Ramadan, I just wanted to convey my heartfelt best wishes to all who celebrate this festival.
00:33So the King of England, who is also the head of the English Church, refused to put out an
00:38Easter message this year and instead he put out a message saying Happy Eid Mubarak. Now
00:44I found this particularly interesting given the history of the English Church and how they
00:48used to force Catholics to convert to being Anglicans. Even today if a member of the English
00:55royal family had to convert to Catholicism, they would be removed from the line of succession
01:00and they could possibly lose all their titles. There are also many conspiracy theories circulating
01:05online saying that the King of England secretly converted to Islam many years back, but I think
01:11those claims are unfounded given the fact that the King still attends regular Sunday Bible
01:17readings.
01:17It just seems like this guy doesn't want to talk about Christianity unless he can bring
01:22in other religions. I think given that this nation, the people of this nation, we are in
01:31a perilous state. People are worried, very worried and quite rightly so.
01:36Worry not friend, because it turns out as the Anglicans are leaving Anglicans behind, they are returning
01:42to the Catholic Church in droves. We will be reading from this article shared by the Anglican
01:47mainstream. Studies reveal an equivocal surge in converts following 1992 vote by General
01:54Synod to allow women to become priests. Hundreds of Anglican vicars have converted to Catholicism
02:00since the early 1990s, a study has found. Roughly a third of Catholic priests ordained between
02:061992 and 2024 were former Anglican clergy members. In total, 700 former Anglicans or members of
02:14the Scottish Episcopal Church have been received into the Catholic Church over the same period.
02:20The study carried out by St. Mary University in London also identified 16 former Anglican bishops
02:27and two continuing Anglican bishops who had converted over the same 32-year timestamp.
02:33The continuing Anglican movement principally based in North America encompasses a number
02:38of churches that have an Anglican identity but are not part of the Anglican communion.
02:44Professor Stephen Boulivant, the study co-author from St. Mary's Benedict XVI Center for Religion
02:50and Society said there was unequivocally a surge in conversion to Catholicism following a vote
02:57that allowed women to become Anglican vicars, the General Synod vote which took place in 1992.
03:03Followed a five and a half hour debate and was passed by a margin of just two votes
03:08within the Church of England's parliament. And 40 years later we see the first female Archbishop
03:15of Canterbury. Now do keep in mind that traditional and continuing Anglicans agree with Catholics
03:21that there's no such thing as a female bishop. Now this means that for the first time in centuries,
03:27traditional Anglicans and Catholics agree that the seat of Canterbury is vacant. Now in my personal
03:34opinion, I don't even think Protestantism would exist today without the English joining the
03:40Reformation in the 16th century. And in just a few more years, the amount of Catholics in the UK will
03:46outnumber all the Anglicans. Now this has been a very significant year for the Catholic Church as we
03:53have seen record-breaking amounts of conversions globally. Now reading this excerpt from NorthJersey.com
03:59Dioceses around the country have also reported a spike in interest. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles
04:06expected to welcome more than 8,000 converts this Easter, while the diocese in Washington DC will
04:12welcome 1,755 new Catholics. Overseas, the Archdiocese of Westminster England has reported a 60%
04:22increase in conversions over last year with 800 adults set to join the church on Easter Sunday.
04:29The Archdiocese of Paris similarly announced that it will welcome its largest ever group of converts
04:36with 788 entrants this spring. Now globally we are seeing records being broken, but this has led to
04:43some skepticism from anti-Catholics online, particularly someone called Patrick from a Bible in context.
04:51Over the last 24 hours this man has been posting non-stop against the Catholic Church trying to
04:57counter the narrative that many people are converting to Catholicism or that the church is seeing a
05:02resurgence. We'll be responding to one of his posts in particularly where he says Catholics want you to
05:08believe there is some sort of revival happening in the Catholic Church with an abnormally large amount
05:14of conversions happening. What they fail to tell you is Catholicism has one of the largest net losses,
05:20of any religion in the US. 13% of all US adults are former Catholics. Catholics have experienced the
05:27greatest net losses due to switching. About 3 in 10 US adults, roughly 30%, says they were raised Catholic,
05:35but 43% of the people raised Catholic no longer identify as Catholic, meaning that 12.8% of all
05:43US adults are
05:44former Catholics. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ledger, 1.5% of US adults have become Catholics,
05:51after being raised another way. Overall, 18.9% of US adults currently identify as Catholics,
05:58according to the RLS. Now here are some of the issues with his claim. Firstly, his claim is outdated.
06:05According to Pew Research data, the US share of Catholic adults has held steady at about 19-21%
06:12since 2014. All Christian denominations in the US have seen declines over the past few decades,
06:20but what we are currently seeing is a resurgence. So why is it a resurgence? Simply put, the decline
06:27started steadying out about 10 years ago and we have seen significant increases in converts across
06:34the board. Patrick is also making another major mistake because he's conflating people raised nominally
06:41Catholic with converts. Converts are far less likely to switch to a different denomination.
06:47But just seeing post after post from anti-Catholics, like Patrick from Bible in Context,
06:53freak out about the amount of converts to Catholicism this year, proves that we already have
06:58a total Catholic victory. As a convert myself, it's so nice to see so many others,
07:06thousands upon thousands upon thousands of other people, globally, return home to the Catholic Church.
07:12Together we can undo the damage that was done by the Protestant Reformation. We can restore the West,
07:20and the foundation of the West is Catholicism. Thank you all for watching. If you found this video
07:26useful, please do click that like button and think about subscribing to our channel. We also now have a
07:32merch tool available. I've been having a lot of fun designing these cups and I'm thinking about doing
07:37like four of them if you're interested. I do also try to put the cost of these items as low
07:43as possible.
07:44I also do have a channel membership available. I will not put any of my apologetics content as members
07:51only. It's mainly stories about how I learned lessons in life that you may find interesting.
07:56Now with all of that said, thank you all for watching. God bless you all,
08:01and happy Easter to all of you, my brothers and sisters.
