00:15After lengthy discussions with doctors, 49er wide receiver Ricky Parasol
00:20is expected to undergo season-ending injury on a nagging PCL injury.
00:24More bad news again here for the 49ers.
00:28They get real bad news the other day when it came to their head football coach,
00:32Kyle Shanahan, who was in a car accident, and everyone knows the storyline
00:36behind this thing, or kind of knows the storyline behind this,
00:40that he's going to miss a significant piece of the preseason
00:44and potentially even the September 10th game against the Los Angeles Rams.
00:48Let me put this out here about Shanahan.
00:52It's one thing to have the reputation on being considered the best play caller
00:56in the National Football League.
00:58As a matter of fact, the New York Times slash The Athletic came out with their top 10
01:02play callers in the NFL.
01:04And guess who sits at the top?
01:06Kyle Shanahan.
01:07One of the best reputations in all of the National Football League.
01:11Well, here, this is where we're going.
01:13I think Kyle Shanahan is the most overrated NFL head football coach in the league today.
01:18Hey, just because your last name was Shanahan, let me put it out there to you, kid.
01:23And you ain't Mike Shanahan.
01:25You got to win.
01:26And I'm not just talking about regular season wins.
01:29I'm talking about wins that matter.
01:32Wins that win championships.
01:35You can't leave this game with having that distinction of giving up the biggest points
01:40in the history of the Super Bowl because of your incompetence when it came to play calling
01:45with that Atlanta fiasco against Brady's Patriots.
01:49You had a 28-point lead.
01:51What happened?
01:52Got conservative.
01:53Well, that has been a mantra for Kyle Shanahan.
01:57Kyle Shanahan doesn't really do well when it comes to the two-minute warning going in
02:02to the timeouts when it comes into going into halftime.
02:06And he doesn't do well when it comes to the two-minute warning at the end of football games.
02:11We saw that play out a couple years ago in the Super Bowl.
02:15The 49ers had the lead going into the extra frame.
02:18They had that game.
02:21What happened?
02:22Conservative Kyle Shanahan.
02:24I say it again.
02:26I think the guy is one of the great minds in the game.
02:29You talk about scheming up an offense.
02:31You talk about getting people like Brock Purdy and Jimmy Garoppolo to Super Bowls.
02:35There's no question.
02:37When it comes to developing of quarterbacks, comes to developing of schemes, comes to developing
02:43of how to get guys open, there's really nobody better in the National Football League, maybe
02:47outside of a Sean McVay and Andy Reid.
02:51But, dude, when you get into the crunch time, you've got to win ballgames.
02:56You just can't say, well, you know, we're 12-5.
02:59We had a really good year.
03:00We beat the Eagles in the opening round of the playoffs.
03:03We had a really good season.
03:04We lost a lot of players when it came to injuries.
03:07Folks, how coaches are gauged in this league, they are gauged by winning the games that matter.
03:14Remember, you make your money in the regular season.
03:17And you know what you do in the postseason?
03:19That's where you make your legacy.
03:21Kyle Shanahan, and I say it, is overrated.
03:25I mean, you can't keep giving a guy a crown and saying, he's the best play caller in football.
03:32And what has he won?
03:33Well, he's won nothing.
03:35Look at what Sean McVay, Sean McVay just turned 40.
03:40He's got 100 wins.
03:42He's got two NFC championships.
03:44He's got a Super Bowl.
03:46He's taken a quarterback in Jared Goff.
03:49He sent him to Detroit.
03:50They end up bringing Matthew Stafford.
03:52And what did they do with Matthew Stafford?
03:54They won that Super Bowl in Los Angeles.
03:56And what did he do?
03:57He saved a career that was dying in Detroit.
04:00And now he's on his way to Canton.
04:03Sean McVay is 40 years old.
04:06He's younger right now than Aaron Rodgers.
04:09I say this.
04:10You got to win a Super Bowl, Kyle.
04:12Or you'll go down as the most overrated coach in NFL history.
