00:00On Friday, Colombian President Gustavo Petro arrived at the Havana's José Martí International Airport
00:06for an official visit and the invitation of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel.
00:10President Petro's visit is in response to an invitation extended by the Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel,
00:16providing an opportunity to reaffirm their shared commitment to Latin American and Caribbean integration,
00:21peace, multilateralism and sustainable development.
00:24The Colombian state noted that from Cuba he intended to oppose war in the Caribbean
00:29and reject Washington's threats of military invasion against the largest of the Antilles.
00:34This visit follows statements by Colombian President-elect Abelardo El Espriella,
00:38who announced his plan to close 14 embassies, including the one in Cuba.
