00:00Right now, we will take you live to Andhra Pradesh, where the Prime Minister is on a one-day visit,
00:06first to Andhra Pradesh, later on he will be visiting to Karnataka, but right now he is at the Bhogapuram
00:10Airport.
00:12This is a new airport that is being inaugurated in Andhra Pradesh.
00:16We will take you through the details, but right now just take a look at the visuals,
00:19how he was taken through the entirety of the airport alongside NDA leaders,
00:23which is Chief Minister Chandrubabu Naidu himself, as well as the Aviation Minister,
00:29who is also present with the Prime Minister, as well as the Chief Minister.
00:34This comes in as a big, big boost to mobility in the very region that we are speaking of.
00:41He has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated in this particular development project,
00:47which is basically this airport, Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport.
00:52If we speak of this very airport, the Greenfield Airport has been built under the public-private partnership mode
00:58at a cost of over 5,600 crore rupees,
01:02and it has been designed to handle as many as 6 million passengers annually speaking,
01:08bringing in mobility to a next level to this very region.
01:12The airport is expected to provide a significant boost to tourism, trade, investment,
01:17and employment generation in the very state, while strengthening the air connectivity and the air travel from this very region.
01:27This is the particular project that we are discussing about,
01:31where we do see the Union Aviation Minister along with the Chief Minister,
01:36all of them taking the Prime Minister in detail through the project.
01:40the particular international airport has a lot of cultural significance in terms of the decor,
01:46the design that we see, bringing in the culture, heritage of Andhra Pradesh in its art forms
01:53and displays that have been put up at the very international airport.
01:57But overall, the cost of this very project was around 5,600 crore rupees.
02:03But overall, yes, what is important is the kind of investment it will be attracting to this very region,
02:09the kind of partnerships, the kind of trading, tourism, employment generation,
02:15it brings to this very region in Andhra Pradesh.
02:18This is in Bhogapuram, as we speak, an international airport that will be connecting this region in Andhra Pradesh
02:23with the rest of the world, and which is why we do see the launch of this
02:30and the inauguration of this very airport coming in to be very crucial for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
02:37This now, with its inauguration today, will be functional and boosts the very mobility,
02:46the air mobility, that is, from this region.
02:48The connectivity gets a boost from this region to the rest of the world.
02:52Now, if we speak of the Prime Minister, he is, as we mentioned earlier itself,
02:58on a one-day-long visit to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka both.
03:01So, the trip to Andhra Pradesh doesn't end with just one developmental project.
03:06We will soon be seeing him laying the foundation of the ASIP semiconductor project at Vishaka Patnam as well,
03:13being developed with an investment of over 460 crore rupees.
03:18It is Andhra Pradesh's first semiconductor manufacturing facility that will be approved under the India Semiconductor Mission.
03:26And the facility will manufacture around 96 billion semiconductor chips annually and create high-skilled employment opportunities,
03:32while also fostering a robust ancillary ecosystem to support semiconductor manufacturing.
03:39So, this, the series of developmental projects that will be inaugurated today, that will be launched today,
03:47does bring about a massive push, Vikas push, in the very region, in Andhra Pradesh itself.
03:53This very visual that we are bringing to you is from the Bhogapuram Airport itself.
03:57It's an international airport, so, which only expands the mobility of this region,
04:01connects this place to different parts of the world, not just the country.
04:07Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister Naidu accompanies Prime Minister Modi, as you can see.
04:10Aviation Minister Ramon Naidu is well present, as we mentioned earlier.
04:14We also see Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan accompanying Prime Minister Modi.
04:18Although he has been recovering from ailing health,
04:22he is also present with the Prime Minister, alongside the Prime Minister,
04:26at the very launch event of this very international airport,
04:29the Alduri, Sitarama, Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram.
04:35This is a greenfield airport, and it's been built under the public-private partnership
04:40at a cost of 5,600 crore rupees,
04:43and has been designed to handle as many as 6 million passengers annually.
04:47You can understand the extent of people that this international airport is given
04:52to handle on a daily basis from that itself,
04:55and what kind of boost it brings to this very place,
05:00industrially speaking, as well as mobility-wise, and tourism-wise as well.
05:05The airport is expected to provide a significant boost to all of these sectors.
05:09The Prime Minister has also been given an entire tour of the cultural displays
05:14that have been put in the airports.
05:16Recent times, we have seen how Indian airports have featured extremely creative designs in itself,
05:23bringing up the Indian culture, the heritage, in the most creative of ways possible.
05:29So this airport, the designs, the displays that we see,
05:32the sculptures that we see, is yet another example of that cultural impetus itself.
05:38But yes, this would be a very crucial connectivity route from the south, from down south.
05:45Another one, another corridor connecting Andhra Pradesh, as we speak, to the rest of the world.
05:53Alongside it, as we were mentioning earlier, that as far as Andhra Pradesh goes,
05:59it's a two-state but one-day visit for the Prime Minister.
06:02Andhra Pradesh first, Karnataka second.
06:05It will see several developmental projects, a whole, if we are to look at the entire amount
06:13of the developmental projects, sums up to somewhere around 18,000 crore rupees.
06:19And this 18,000 crore rupee developmental projects are just to be, in fact, launched in Bhogapuram,
06:28at Bhogapuram itself, in Vijayanagaram district.
06:32Now, this is a cultural display that we see, that's been planned for the Prime Minister,
06:36a mega road show, that he is also conducting, right after the inauguration of the airport.
06:46Take a look at the visuals.
08:04On that note, viewers, we have Apoorva joining us at this given point to bring us more details
08:09into these cultural festivities and the road show that's currently being undertaken by the Prime Minister
08:18alongside the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
08:22Apoorva, very good morning to you.
08:24Just take us through how big of a developmental boost this brings, the projects, the series of projects
08:30that will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister, starting with this very international airport
08:35that we just spoke about to our viewers.
08:40Well, in fact, the Alodi Sitaram Raju International Airport or the Bhogapuram Airport, as it is being known right now,
08:46has been inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi.
08:50And, you know, this is a project that has been taken up by the AP government, a project worth over
08:57Rs. 5,000 crores.
08:59And this will be the first commercial airport that will be opened up right after Vishakapatnam.
09:06This will be a connectivity between Vishakapatnam, Srika Kulam and Vijayanagaram.
09:10This will be in between Vijayanagaram and Vishakapatnam as well, extending the connectivity for Uttara Andhra or Northern Andhra as
09:19well.
09:20In fact, the Prime Minister has arrived today here and the festivities that you can see is from the tribal
09:26folk of the region,
09:28in the Dimsa dance that you can see visible, where the tribals from across the regions of Uttara Andhra
09:33who are participating in this celebration of the inauguration of the Bhogapuram Airport as well.
09:39In fact, this is not just, you know, an airport that is going to be opened up, you know, for
09:45the public,
09:46but this will also engage in connectivity across.
09:50In fact, the Andhra Sadej government alongside the airport premises is also looking to set up an Aero hub in
09:57that region
09:57to, you know, develop unstrengthened infrastructure in those regions as well.
10:03The Prime Minister has just, you know, landed a short while back
10:07and he has inaugurated this Bhogapuram Airport here in Uttara Andhra.
10:13In fact, he will inaugurate the airport terminal building
10:15and he will also inspect the facility along with the Chief Minister Andhra Pradesh,
10:21Chief Minister Narayanagamurabha Naidu, Governor and several other, you know, senior dignitaries as well.
10:27Just as, you know, he is going ahead and inaugurating,
10:31there's also over 13,500 tribal women and students
10:36who will greet him with the Bhimsa dance, like I mentioned,
10:40as they give a warm welcome to the Prime Minister as he arrives here.
10:45This, in fact, this Bhogapuram Airport will mark a major connectivity
10:49for northern Andhra across India as well.
10:53It will provide a part of a vision and position to Vishakapatnam among globally developed cities.
10:59Remember, Vishakapatnam already has the port and the, you know, navy as well in that region.
11:07So, having a Bhogapuram Airport that is just constructed right outside of Vishakapatnam city
11:13will also enable in developing the infrastructure in that region as well.
11:18In fact, this airport, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Narayanagamurabha Naidu,
11:23has also stated earlier on that it is conceived as a catalyst for industrial growth,
11:29employment generation, exports, skill development and research as well.
11:34This is among the fastest completed greenfield international airports in India
11:38and what the, you know, Andhra Pradesh government is taking pride on
11:43is that this is an airport that has been completed nearly five months ahead of schedule.
11:49It has already secured the Directorate General of Civil Aviation,
11:53the DDCA aerodrome license, along with all required safety, fire and environmental clearance.
11:59The Bhogapuram Airport, one of the specialties that we are getting to learn
12:04is that it is designed to handle six million passengers annually in the first phase
12:10and the airport also has a master plan to expand the capacity
12:14to 40 million passengers annually in the future.
12:18This is going to be, you know, a logistical, you know, logistically,
12:24this is going to be a viable option for Andhra Pradesh
12:27because this project is expected to play a pivotal role
12:30in boosting, you know, economic growth
12:32and also as well as, you know, increasing, you know, future prospectus
12:38in the aerospace and different sectors across, you know,
12:42the three major Uttaranda regions, which is Vishakapatlam, Vijayanagram
12:46and Sikha Sulam as well.
12:48Combined with the developed and effort of GMR, you know,
12:52this is going to be the GMR, Vishakapatlamic National Airport
12:56under the public-private partnership, the PPP model that, you know,
13:00Andhra Pradesh Government and Chief Minister Narasandrabavan
13:04I do have been talking about.
13:06This is going to be an airport set across 2,203 acres
13:12with an aviation hub of over 500 acres
13:15and an aviation university and edu city.
13:19All of these combine together in that vast area of land
13:23including comprehensive airside infrastructure, commercial development
13:27and also approach roads as well.
13:30In fact, one of the key highlights of this international airport,
13:34that is the Bokapuram Airport,
13:36is a 3,800-metre Code E runway capable of handling wide-body aircraft
13:42such as a Boeing 777, Boeing 787,
13:46greenliner, Airbus A330 and Airbus A340.
13:51It's also equipped with advanced air-free lighting,
13:54navigation aids and TNS ATM infrastructure
13:58to support both domestic and international operations.
14:02This is a Gokapuram Airport, which is being inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi.
14:09Let me remind you, it's going to be a connectivity for Ukraine globally as well.
14:15Like I earlier mentioned,
14:16this runway specifically is capable of handling wide-body aircraft
14:24for even domestic and international operations as well.
14:29And in fact, the terminal also incorporates advanced passenger process technologies,
14:35you know, common use passenger processing systems,
14:38CUPPS, self-band droppage, as well as several other amenities as well.
14:44A vision that was led by Anupadha State Minister Narasthan Ravogunairu,
14:48this has been particularly customized in core coordination with the Civil Aviation Ministry.
14:55And you can also see the Civil Aviation Minister,
14:57Gair Ramohan Nairu, who's also present.
15:00He's also a member of Uttaranda.
15:02You know, he's an entity belonging from Uttaranda.
15:05You know, Apurva, I do want you to weigh in on one thing here.
15:09This airport, as you also mentioned,
15:12that it brings about quite a big boost to investments in trade as well in this very region.
15:17Now, Andhra Pradesh happens to be a state where we've already started seeing
15:22how certain ministers or the government there in itself
15:27want to establish this state as the next tech hub for the country.
15:33So, how big does an airport of this sort,
15:37an international airport of this sort play a role
15:39to, you know, provide an opportunity and further boost that very goal?
15:44Well, in fact, this Alluri Hissarama Raju airport,
15:48or the Pogapuram airport, in fact,
15:51it will significantly strengthen, you know,
15:53Uttaranda's export ecosystem.
15:56In fact, we are learning from sources that
15:59close to over 25,000 metric tons
16:02of an annual capacity cargo terminal is included.
16:07Not only that, it's an integration with the Vishakhapatnam port,
16:12you know, an industrial corridor and logistic network
16:15as well in Narayan,
16:16because we're already seeing several, you know,
16:19IT hubs such as the Google AI hub,
16:21which is the first in India,
16:23is, you know, going to be set up in Vishakhapatnam there as well.
16:27You know, this will be a major connectivity to the Pogapuram airport
16:32in terms of, you know,
16:36given the landscape that we are seeing.
16:38So, we already have a Vishakhapatnam airport,
16:40but this Pogapuram airport will also,
16:43you know, there is also an aviation university,
16:47an aviation hub set across 500 acres,
16:50and an edu city that is coming up right outside the airport.
16:54So, in terms of Northern Andhra's, you know, growth development,
16:59this is a plan that had been set out
17:02and, you know,
17:04critically analysed over the last two years
17:06by this government to ensure that
17:08one of the areas that have been neglected,
17:12Uttarandra has a lot of tribal regions,
17:14has a lot of opportunities
17:15that have still remained dominant,
17:19and opening of this airport,
17:21the Andhra's government believes will open up,
17:24you know, avenues.
17:25We have IT hubs that are being set up,
17:27the Google, Jell-Oid, and several others
17:29who will be coming in.
17:30According to that,
17:31we have the Vishakhapatnam port,
17:33we also have an aviation university,
17:35an aviation hub,
17:36all of these that are being set up
17:38in and around, you know,
17:40Bhugapuram airport,
17:41specifically designed,
17:42keeping in mind
17:43that there is going to be a growth boost
17:45in, you know, Northern Andhra.
17:49Very true.
17:50And as we speak,
17:51Apulga,
17:52we see the Prime Minister
17:53has already reached that rally,
17:57the key rally that he was to attend
17:59at Bhugapuram itself,
18:01where in a short while,
18:03we'll be seeing him address the public.
18:07Hundreds have gathered
18:09to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister
18:11and to, in fact,
18:13listen to what he has to say,
18:16as he himself comes
18:18to their very city,
18:20to their very district,
18:21to, in fact,
18:23bring about
18:24a major push
18:26in development,
18:28a vikas push,
18:29as we see,
18:30for Andhra Pradesh,
18:31for Bhugapuram,
18:32with this international airport,
18:33with another silicon project,
18:36semiconductor project,
18:38I beg your pardon,
18:40that will be again
18:41in Vishakhapatnam,
18:42but yes,
18:43this comes in as a big,
18:44big series of developmental push
18:47to the very region.
18:48We see the Chief Minister
18:50welcoming the Prime Minister.
18:59Apulva coming back to you
19:00just before the Prime Minister
19:02starts with his address.
19:04He has a series of other
19:07projects as well.
19:08He will be laying the foundation
19:10for later.
19:10If you could just quickly
19:11take us through that list, please.
19:36Thank you, sir.
19:39in Andhra Pradesh,
19:41where the Prime Minister
19:42will be laying foundation stone
19:44and inaugurating
19:45several major projects
19:46for the boost of Uttaranda,
19:48but he will also later on
19:50be traveling to,
19:51you know,
19:52Karnataka as well
19:53for inauguration
19:54and foundation
19:55of other projects
19:56in that region.
19:58So,
19:58over here,
19:59the primary essence
20:01of,
20:01you know,
20:02having this inauguration
20:04of this airport
20:05does open up
20:06an arena
20:07of opportunities
20:08for Amr Sadesha
20:09because,
20:10you know,
20:11this opens up
20:12and unlocks
20:13new opportunities
20:14in tourism,
20:15hospitality,
20:17you know,
20:17pharmaceuticals,
20:18marine products,
20:19IT,
20:20aerospace,
20:21defense,
20:22and manufacturing.
20:23And not only,
20:24you know,
20:24these projects
20:25that will also gain
20:26a boost
20:27in terms of,
20:28you know,
20:30inauguration
20:31of this airport,
20:31but also seeing
20:32that tourist places,
20:34you know,
20:34we have beautiful
20:36tourism locations
20:38in Uttaranda,
20:39specifically like
20:40Arakku,
20:40which is known
20:41for Arakku coffee,
20:43you know,
20:44worldwide,
20:45it's coffee
20:46that has been
20:47gaining recognition.
20:49We also have
20:50Lamba Singhi
20:50and not only that,
20:53we also have
20:53temple destinations
20:55in Vishakapatnam,
20:56Vijayanagram,
20:57and Srikakulam,
20:58which will also see
20:59a heavy footfall
21:01now that there is
21:02an easier connectivity
21:03via the
21:04Bhogapuram airport.
21:06In fact,
21:06the airport
21:07will be fully functional
21:08in just the next week,
21:10that is from
21:11August 17th,
21:12we will be seeing
21:14that there will be
21:14a completely functional
21:16Bhogapuram airport,
21:17which will then,
21:18you know,
21:19open in a lot more
21:20opportunities
21:21and prospectors
21:22for,
21:22you know,
21:23Andhra Pradesh.
21:25Right,
21:26Apoorva,
21:26there's also a lot
21:27of cultural significance
21:28that we see
21:29being pushed here,
21:30even in the airport.
21:31Some of those displays
21:32that were put up,
21:33brings up to show
21:36Andhra Pradesh's
21:37culture,
21:38history,
21:39all of it.
21:40And even when
21:40the Prime Minister
21:41was in fact
21:42just now
21:43welcomed by
21:44the Chief Minister,
21:46we could see him
21:48extending certain gifts,
21:50again,
21:51symbols of the rich
21:52culture and heritage
21:53of Andhra Pradesh.
21:55Well,
21:56that's right,
21:57like you rightly
21:57mentioned,
21:58and from the visuals
21:59as well,
21:59we can see,
22:00you know,
22:01Uttaranda does have
22:02a lot of tribal
22:04regions in that area,
22:06and that's why
22:06you can also see
22:07the culture
22:08and the richness
22:09of those
22:10traditional values
22:11that are being
22:12portrayed here,
22:13with,
22:13you know,
22:14tribals and artists
22:15from across
22:16Uttaranda region
22:17who have gathered
22:18here,
22:19close to 13,000,
22:20you know,
22:21tribal families
22:22and women
22:23and children
22:24participated
22:25in the traditional
22:26Zimsa dance
22:28that is known
22:29in the tribal
22:30regions there.
22:31You know,
22:31they had shown
22:33a welcome
22:34for Prime Minister
22:35Modi as he
22:35arrived here as well,
22:36and even in the
22:38airport per se,
22:40there is also
22:40minute architectural
22:42designs that have
22:43been incorporated
22:44that shows
22:46the vast
22:46veracity
22:48of the tribals
22:49in that region
22:50as well.
22:51In fact,
22:51we have the
22:52terminal there
22:52that reflects
22:53the state's
22:54cultural identity
22:55inspired by
22:56a flying fish
22:57symbolizing
22:58the Bay of Bengal
22:59and North Andhra's
23:00maritime heritage.
23:02This also
23:03has traditional
23:04while the terminal
23:05itself is inspired
23:07by incorporating
23:08traditional
23:09rangolis
23:09on its roof
23:10and ceiling
23:11designs as well.
23:13Each and every
23:13part of this
23:14Aluri Sitaram Raju
23:16airport
23:16is in fact
23:17designed
23:18and well-planned
23:19in a manner
23:20that not only
23:20incorporates
23:21the traditions
23:22but also
23:22incorporates
23:23the new
23:24infrastructure
23:25and development
23:27amalgamation
23:28that will
23:29describe Uttar Andhra
23:31in the near future,
23:32which is that
23:33it is a complete
23:34mix of tradition
23:35meets culture
23:36meets development.
23:39very, very true
23:40Apoorva, and I
23:42think, speaking
23:43of culture,
23:44it's at its
