00:00Take a look at this video. You tell me why the WNBA, which posted it to their account yesterday, then
00:07decided to delete it.
00:10At All-Star Weekend, you and Angel made a bet with each other on this game.
00:13We did. This is how the rich say rich.
00:17You gotta save this money. I'm gonna see you next week on Wednesday.
00:21Yeah. At night? No, at practice.
00:23Oh, at practice? I mean, I know y'all gonna lose, but if y'all lose...
00:28I get to have that. If y'all win, you get it for $100.
00:31I get it for $100, too. And if we lose, then you get it for $100.
00:35No, you owe me $400.
00:38But I'm playing with it. I'm playing with it.
00:42You just watched two of the biggest stars and names in the WNBA openly discussing wagering on a game between
00:51the two of them.
00:54Now, you might not have an issue with a couple of athletes putting some bucks on the line before they
00:58face off,
01:00but the league they play in and seeing that video, which shows a clear violation of league policy,
01:08then posted it on their own social media pages before ultimately deciding to delete it is something to behold.
01:14By the way, in theory, what you just witnessed, that's a multi-year suspension.
01:22If two NFL players did that, they would be suspended for multiple years.
01:28Not multiple games. Years. Years.
01:36Kathy Engelbert needs to be fired. She needs to be removed as the WNBA commissioner.
01:43The WNBA, if you watch it, is fantastic.
01:48The games are great. The teams are great. The players are great.
01:55The nonsense and discourse around it is absolutely the theater of the absurd.
02:00When I turn on a game and Ryan Rucco is doing the play-by-play and Rebecca Lobo is doing
02:07the color commentary
02:08and Caitlin Clark is nailing threes and Asia Wilson is doing things that are just absolutely off the charts amazing
02:16and you're watching so many teams that can compete for a championship and for the playoffs
02:22and you have WNBA expansion in different cities and it's phenomenal.
02:28And no one can have a normal conversation anymore about the WNBA because of garbage
02:35and nonsense and publicity.
02:39I mean, you had Kathy Engelbert canceling an interview with Dan Patrick.
02:44It's insane.
02:46After she agreed to doing it because PR flackies and lackeys said,
02:50man, maybe this isn't a good idea.
02:52You don't do that and then waste someone's time, especially someone with the pedigree of Dan Patrick.
02:58I mean, what are we doing here?
03:01Why is there always something that has nothing to do with, you know, the sports, the games?
03:10This is the problem with the WNBA.
03:13They just can't get out of their own way.
03:16It drives me nuts.
03:18It drives me crazy.
03:19When it comes to sports, when it comes to women's sports,
03:23the WNBA should be at the top of the list always.
03:28They just can't help themselves.
03:30And honestly, the commissioner has to go.
03:33And I fought this for a very long time.
03:35We had that incredible interview on Shine Time.
03:39If you missed it, check it out on our YouTube page at Shine Time with Nancy Lieberman.
03:44She was fantastic on this.
03:46Kathy's got to go.
03:47I mean, that's—you can't even start talking about anything else than this, that, and the other.
03:53This league needs a restart in the court of public opinion.
03:58And it starts with new leadership.
